Thousands of people have given up their identities and lived in the witness protection program. ‘Family in Hiding’ reveals how truly life-shattering that experience can be.
Single mom, Carol Peterson (Brenda Strong - ‘Desperate Housewives’), finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and is horrified to witness an execution-style murder from point blank range of a well-known district attorney. Exposing her identity to the killer, she leaps from her hiding place and into her car, careening out of the parking garage as shots ring out behind her.
The killer, Nahanee (Hrothgar Mathews - ‘Nuremberg’), is a famous crime boss who District Attorney Cloninger (Jerry Wasserman - ‘Smallville’) has been trying to convict for years. Now, Carol must uproot her two teenaged kids and join the Witness Protection Program. They were once a typical, modern family with their biggest worries revolving around basketball games and dates; now, their entire existence is focused on one thing-staying alive.
The boy is an outstanding actor, enjoyed his performance. Additionally, he was less problematic than his sister, who was a pain throughout the Movie. I do think though that the Mother was too lenient, it's not a sin for parents to be firm and discipline their kids. Strict reprimands are necessary when kids persistently disobey 😌

FINALLY...someone with a brain!!! YES! I agree with you 100%! Kids in these kinds of movies are always mouthing off, making stupid decisions, etc., while the mom just stands there looking foolish. But, in a weird twist, the teenagers in movies like this will be afraid to stand up to their FRIENDS, while the moms will stand up to grown men, putting them in their place, but can't put her KIDS in their place.

Good movie. The people that put their lives on the line to put these criminals behind bars are amazing. I couldn’t imagine having my life turned upside down like this and always looking over my shoulder. So scary 💔 I truly thank these witnesses for all that they do❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love this movie, watched it many times. Matt is a very good actor. When admiring the bike , one of the bad men called his name, his expression changed, denied his name and ran. He is intuitive and very alert. Love you Matt.

Murderers are always experts in the fields of finding out eye witnesses,even if the eye witnesses are clever enough and are able to outwit those who have committed crimes

The mom should've called her children and told her that the FBI were coming to pick them up. She should've taught her kids not to open the door for somebody they did not know.

The Mom should have figured out a safe way to get it through their thick skull's that the people after them were determined to murder all 3 of them .. The Mom was over indulgent with her Daughter trying to be her friend more than she was her parent and protector.. The Mom blamed the FBI for her Daughter's repeated mess up's that put her life, her family's, and and her BFs live's in danger.. The Mom needed to place her blame, yelling, and anger toward her obnoxious brat Daughter where it belonged not at the FBI..

How is it, they are in witness protection and every time they move the US marshals are in clear view with jackets identifying them? Not too covert an operation in a suburban neighbourhood, surely they aren't that stupid to think that would go un-noticed? What's that all about?

Spoiler alert . Good movie. It's just a movie. One would think that with all these witness protection movies and general public information about the witness protection program, that the public would be more aware. They didn't follow the rules. The mother rages more than once to federal agents about the bargain that was made to keep them safe. But she didn't keep her end of the bargain and neither did her children. Basic safety instructions for anyone--even those not in the witness protection program . Try not to get in the car. Of course , there is the risk of being murdered, but the risk goes up exponentially if you go to another location .
But again, it's just a movie. It was interesting and fun to watch.
I have no idea how can a girl love more her boyfriend than her family members? She is really a selfish child.

My favorite type of movies are Thrillers. This was definitely one of those types. A very good movie and storyline. It left me on my seat. However, I must say I became a little frustrated with the children. Although, I understand it is hard from them to be separated from their friends, schools, and life, they are still old enough to understand "DANGER" I would expect this behavior from a younger person. I feel their actions were selfish!!! Every act they did put their Mother in Danger. Their lives were not in danger, the thugs wanted to kill their mom. The only thing they would use them for was to ween her out. So the girl was like a love sick puppy. She had already told the guy her situation, so why didn't she think he had not contacted her to keep her safe. I was just shaking my head! The son also knew what he was doing was wrong. This is why he lied to his mom when he was practicing, etc. SMH again. In the end, the daughter proved to really love her Mom, because I really thought she might sale her Mom out. But then again this is a movie and it ended happily. All these events are what made it a Thriller, and I loved it!!! Great job!!!

The Mum should have stayed hidden behind the car would have saved her a whole lotta trouble. Her blumin kids would have driven me up the pole and she has no control over them both. I hope there is a better run protection outfit than they had as they would probs be all dead with that lot. :O)
