Day 10 - made it!! Hubby surprised me with a Uke for xmas. Have just turned 68 and my fingers are 'locked' with arthritis, so some chords have been rather challenging. I performed 'Happy Birthday' for my 4 year old grandaughter who I haven't seen for 18months due to lockdown. I live on the East coast of Australia and she is in Western Australia. I am so proud of myself. Thank you Kevin. You are a great teacher and I love how you keep reminding us to relax, smile and have fun! Somehow 10 minutes turns into 2 hours......
I cannot believe how much you have taught me in just these ten lessons. I have always considered myself musically hopeless. I spent almost a full year driving 80 miles round trip and paying $40 an hour to a guy who taught me less than what I have learned via the Kickstart series. Other UA-cam channels seem to want to show you how good the teacher can play rather than trying to teach a student to play. I have to go back to through all the lessons periodically as a refresher as my retention is not all that great, but I am a far better player now that I was a couple of weeks ago. Thank you Kevin!!
The word thanks is not enough to tell you how much you help me in my life. There’s nothing better for me to relax and spend some time with myself. For me you’re the best teacher I ever had. Thanks again

Just finished beginners kick start. I'm in shock at how much I've learned in a couple of weeks. This has been a life saver Kevin just about to join your website. Absolutely fantastic teacher!!
These classes are super fantastic! I love the chords added below. It would be extremely helpful to add the number of repeat times for each chord. Some are played once, others played twice.
Thank you for this series! I just started playing in January, and am 70 years old! This has been very helpful to me, and has given me reassurance with strumming and chord changes.
I've had a great time learning with you through this Kickstart Series and have recommended you to some of my friends. Your casual relaxed style of teaching if wonderful because you don't make your students feel that they under pressure to finish everything is one go. I am the youngest of my friends learning though you and I'm 65.

I have been learning ukulele by watching UA-cam videos for about 2 months now and came across your channel a while ago. By far, your videos are most clear, easy to understand and detailed ukulele learning videos here. Just finished the 10 days kickstart. Very helpful and improved a lot already. You are the best ukulele teacher on UA-cam and your teaching method is great for beginners. Thank you for putting this content together, much appreciated!
Super cool series! I have done it! Great! Really helpful -- now enjoying your practice every day sessions. Great to get a practice routine down. Thanks heaps!!
Started the Kickstarter Series in March at the start of the UK lockdown. Just finished 6 months later at what will probably be the start of the 2nd lockdown. Snail pace progress but learning to play a musical instrument has helped keep me sane. Love the style of presentation and progression. Will now move on to another series. Thanks Kevin.
Thank you very much ! You are a super tutor ! As a beginner I do appreciate your 10-day series ! Your intonation and your English are very clear ! English is my second language I have been able to grasp every word of your explanation ! Best Regards from Serge Uppiah of Mauritius, a small island in the Indian Ocean !

I loved this series and it was super helpful. Just by practicing with you every day I improved without feeling like I had to work hard for it. It was really fun!
To answer your questions: I discovered your channel by randomly looking around after I decided to learn to play uke. By following your five day plan I have practiced every day and for longer periods each day. The strumming patterns all came to me pretty easily. I played guitar back in the sixties and much of what I knew came back pretty quickly. I am not ready to ask for new series yet I still have so much to learn right now. I have only been playing uke for about ten days, but it is coming very easily. I tried playing fiddle by taking lessons in Irish Traditional fiddle for five years. It is a very hard instrument to play. I have tried adding mandolin and tenor banjo. Both with limited success. I have music in me. I need a way to let it out. Your teaching style is working well for me. I am 68 years old so new tricks don't always come easy. I have joined two session ukelele groups and I am already surpassing some of the other beginners As a token of gratitude I sent you a few bucks. Not much, but I wanted to repay you at least a little.
Thank you Kevin, I appreciate how you teach, nice and slow! I got my uke for mother's day, I'm 54 in July and it's my first instrument. I enjoy your lessons and have made it through the quick start program! Yay! Thanks! I just have to practice switching chords, especially the last one, the e chord is a hard to get to! THANKS!
Just finished Day 10 and I feel so good because I can keep up with you!! You are a fantastic teacher for a beginner like me. Thank you so much. I will be trying another series. Just don't know which one to tackle next. Again, thank you.
Sehr guter Kurs bei den ich schon mehr gelernt habe als bei den anderen Kursen in UA-cam, Du unterrichtest alles mit einer solchen Leichtigkeit und Freude. Schöne winterliche Grüße aus Wien!
Day 10 is a good summerise and I think I will exercise these lesson aus a warmup allmost all day. Thank you very much. I learned so much from you! 😊👍🙏❤️

This series was really well done. My thanks to you for your thoroughness and teaching talent. I have learned a lot but more importantly, my wife has learned to play and transition among chords. That’s such a thrill for me. I’m still struggling with D and G but I’m making progress. You mentioned coming up north for some fishing. Opening day is coming and the weather has finally turned to Spring. Welcome to Minnesota. Mike.

Really can't find free pdf for QuickStart day 10 so I just write everything down in my "Practice Notebook". Kevin's Quickstart really improved my playing, especially the transitions from C to G and C to Em. I started with Hal Leonard's Ukulele Method Book 1 but mostly played just melody. Kevin's chords are somewhat easier. Now I'm plucking a little and ready to move on to Step Up Your Strumming. Watching on my Smart TV is so relaxing. Using "the ukulele way" by James Hill helps me play both melody and harmony (with my new chords). Only can play lying down on the couch. Think I need a hammock!
This was a great series. Very helpful in learning the chords. Would it be possible to just work on the chords and at a later time when the chords have been mastered to a degree then introduce the strumming. Hi Kevin. Just about to get to lesson 10, trying to revise the he earlier lessons as I go, and am wondering where to go once I've done no.10? Which is the next stage - strumming? Thanks so much for your clear and simple lessons - it's all up to me now....x
OMG! when i tell you that this has been a fun 10 days i mean it. . . going to go back and practice, but what would you recommend i look at now? i did this one and the 7 day uke challenge... your classes are awesome!
Thanks Rudy - I’d highly recommend my Step Up Your Strumming and/or Fingerpicking Series. You could always check out the first day of both and see which direction you’d like to go. I’d say strumming would be the best bet for you right now. Keep me updated with your progress! - Kevin | www.allforuke.com/lessons
Loved this Kickstart series. I've been learning for a while now and did the #30dayukulelechallenge by @plazi. It may have been a little too hard for the complete beginner but then I did this in one day. Anyway, I enjoyed jamming with you (don't really have friends to jam with), and learned something new too. Looking forward to the next ones! Thanks so much for your hard work, you did awesome. The lessons were well structured. Greatly beneficial and appreciated. You seem to be a very nice and funny guy! 😊
Thanks so much for trying the Kickstart Series and joining the community, Leena. My goal for this series was to create a virtual means for people to have someone to play as I know finding fellow Uke players can be difficult at times. Next up for you, check out my new 7 Day Series: Step Up Your Strumming! Keep in touch - Kevin
I am loving this course. Feel like I am learning -- that is when I'm not spacing out on the birds at the bird feeder. I really need to work on the strumming patterns. Seems I get lost quite a bit. Anyway...I think I have all the basic chords down now and don't even need to think when changing except Em. Takes me forever and just can't seem to master that one. Any hints or tricks to get there?
Hi, Kevin... Changing chords....My Ukulele feels some kind of slippery in my hands. Do you have a instruction (or maybe a trick)to keep my Uke and my fingers steady?
Thanks for catching that - somehow I missed that altogether on the website. I just uploaded it now so refresh that page and try again. Thanks for joining the community! ~Kevin

Hi Kevin. Just about to get to lesson 10, trying to revise the he earlier lessons as I go, and am wondering where to go once I've done no.10? Which is the next stage - strumming? Thanks so much for your clear and simple lessons - it's all up to me now....x
Strumming is definitely a good next step - check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks for continuing to learn with and support me!
OMG! when i tell you that this has been a fun 10 days i mean it. . . going to go back and practice, but what would you recommend i look at now? i did this one and the 7 day uke challenge... your classes are awesome!
@@AllForUke strumming it is. Thanks! will do. . .stay safe!
did it wooo
Brilliant tutorial! More substantial feedback will follow. :)
@@AllForUke You just read my mind, was going to ask a recommendation on what to do next, lol! Thanks so much!
Count out loud on strumming patterns e.i. one, two and three and (down, down, up, down, up).
@@vascocollaco3970 thanks . guess I'm a bit rhythm challenged but it's coming.. I hope
I tried lookin for the worksheets on the website, but all I could find was the one for day 1
Hi, Kevin... Changing chords....My Ukulele feels some kind of slippery in my hands. Do you have a instruction (or maybe a trick)to keep my Uke and my fingers steady?
Do you find that the ukulele is slipping out of your hands? I have a video on playing position on my website that should help you with this problem.
I can't play D chord !!!
How can I Do? thanks a lot!!!
After you're done with this jump over to level 2! ua-cam.com/video/MQ6XD862xgk/v-deo.html
Number ten does not show up on the Learning Paths page, the PDF for worksheet does not appear also.
I´m confused...A section B section, what makes it A or B?
Thank You _/\_
I can't seem to get the PDF for Lesson 10 - all PDFs stop at lesson 9. Please help
Thanks for catching that - somehow I missed that altogether on the website. I just uploaded it now so refresh that page and try again. Thanks for joining the community! ~Kevin
@@AllForUke GOT IT!! THANKS :)
Transition from Dm to Em to F is very difficult
I made it
👍 Awesome - which was your favorite chord progression/strum pattern?
AllForUke I’d say day 5 but they all were very helpful to me. I’m glad I was able to start from day 1 as it came out it makes a difference feels like doing it live. Thanks again
The best teacher ever I enjoyed the refresher course level one I hadn’t touched the uke for over a year thank you
everything fine until my finger struggle only from Dm to Em😩
