Path Of Exile 2 Just Nerfed A Bunch of Players (Patch 0.1.0d)

- Path of Exile 2 just nerfed a bunch of players due to changes to Ascendancies and how Meta skills like cast on shock work. This might ruin a few different player builds... hopefully they compensate players with some gold to fix things!

They've Not just nerfed Cast on X, they've nuked it from orbit
made my cast on build 30 mins before the servers pushed the update, had to pay so much gold to spec in and out right after
Its early access. Just let people reset all passive points once per day
I would go for removing the gold cost entirely and thats it - like a real beta testing should be
@@pfontanesi or reduce cost.
Early access is meant to test how the game feels, so the problem with that is that you'd make respecs free, then people play that for 6-12 months and get used to it, now 1.0 releases and respec is no longer free and the playerbase will have a meltdown.
I wish people stopped commenting about things they don't understand just because they want less friction on everything, as players of any game tend to do. I wish you recognized your own biases instead of spewing them out every chance you get. GGG (and any good developer) will not listen to a word you are saying.
Just take the cost out completely forever
would make no sense since there no reset when the game release and what the point to have all free ingame and not working toward something
Full Respec should be 100% free everytime a balance patch arrives
Yeah nah, they only do that for major changes to the skill tree not for nerfs and bug fixes
people already got like 700-900k gold ... reset cost nothing at that point
Should, but it appears GGG hasn't learned that over the last 12 years. Free respecs constantly aren't a great idea for a lot of reasons, but balance changes that have drastic effects on even a single player's build should come with a respec, otherwise it's wasting and insulting tens to hundreds of hours of a player's time.
@@TheTwiix it would cost over 400k
@@ThatPinkOtterwell, at this point, no one is even close to that. Games only been out like 5.5 days. 😂😂😂😂 edit, the hundreds of hours part.
People are going to stop playing until full release if they can’t respec @ a reasonable price after nerf’s.
fine let them leave so we can TEST the game quietly, sound more then good to me
It’s not inconceivable to add a small system where players get free respec tokens after nerfs.
@@BallisticStigmatait is during early access a testing stage lol tell me you don't know nothing ithing without telling me people put a tone of hours and time into one build and suddenly have to redo the whole build so it is 100% warranted.
@@lucienfrechette8734 shut up with your test bullzhiteries, this is a pre-release. Not a beta alpha test. GGG knows it, that's why they didn't sleep since the release and bug fix the hell out of the game. They can't hide behind this beta thing. If they continue doing stupid shit, people will stop playing.
Same people leaving whites and blues on the ground complaining about not having gold. Play the game
just fix respec costs and i would be fine with this, having to grind so much gold with a horrible build now is gonna suck
They need to rename the skill from "cast on freeze" to "cast after you freeze ~100 monsters"
nerfs nerfs nerfs, they keep nerfs until the game feel not fun (RIP cast on freeze)
Diablo 2 would never.
Seriously, if they want us to play slow, at least make respecing free..?
and reduce pack size. If I can't clear entire screens of enemies, their shouldn't be entire screens of enemies
@@SloRush huh…
They want you to play slow so they can charge you more money, purely pathetic. You could get a character to level 70+ in less than a day in D2 classic.
@@CaseClash it’s free to play?
@@CaseClash
When the game release, its free to play. Also there's no cash gameplay here. Only cosmetic
Remember not to play this game too seriously or like this game is a full release. This is early access. Anything can happens.
I had to scroll down through 20 comments to find a reasonable comment that wasn't absolutely insane. Thank you for that.
Remember that EA doesn't mean you can't be pissed at stupid decisions. It's only called EA for legal reasons.
Then they shouldnt have released it. Truthfully, this game is still 6 months away from when they should have done EA.
The problem is that this game isnt ready for EA, its still in beta. POE2 needs a year plus for dev time, not 6 months. It never should have been made available to the public in this state.
@@TheNichqstupid take. If you want a full game wait for the official release. If you want to play a part in testing it at the early access then do play it.
If a game is shit in early access there is no saving it from criticism, but if it’s really good but needs more fixes and balancing then it’s fine.
Respec should be free til lvl 50 and should cost 2 or 5% of total gold thereafter
I think giving everyone a free-wipe token, is a good idea. Also, they can take them away, at the end of EA.
Bro, they should really make respeccing like 50% cheaper AT LEAST in early access. Or even entirely free all the time or at least once per patch/day. I fully respec my character 3 times already and it always takes sooo long to make the money back. And now now, because I'm level 71 it costs me 4215 gold PER POINT, so it will cost me almost 400k gold! WTF?
I don't mind them making sweeping changes. But they should probably give a free respec each time they mess with the passives. It's kina rough that they don't do this. especially since they reset passive every time there is a new league in POE1, it should be easy for them.
RIP Cast on Ignite for us Infernalists. Cast on Minion Death is our new friend.
I’m new and trying to learn/convert to POE2. I think POE should be careful to turn away/off people like me who are “trying” out. I know it’s early access but like you said, make it free to change builds for now.
Awesome it takes 150 shocks just to proc comet once in CoS or CoC
I ran CoF Comet and i saw a nerf to the energy gained coming, but it was freakin NUKED! Its basically unplayable and the energy cluster i pathed to in the tree...well...i need to respec now. Such is life lol. Its only early access. On to the next build :)
That's the spirit! I'm preparing a Flicker Strike monk now that I know the game so much better
2 of my friends, left the game, cause they allrdy had to switch their build 2 times, and they had no money anymore. Why don't they reduce the price, or make it free while early access??
your friends need to know what early acces means and read what it can do for the game .... if you cant play like this with many changes then early acces is nothing good for your friends
@@iandrossaert1188 Early access doesn't mean prohibitively large respec costs. It means please test our game. Which in turn means respeccing should be free or greatly reduced, especially when they make large changes like this. And this was a large change. it didn't affect one character build they though was OP. It completely ruined multiple character builds. My friends and I area all 4 playing different classes, ascendancies, and builds and it ruined all of our characters. They weren't complaining about the game or the nerfs or anything, they said they left because they couldn't afford to respec anymore. That is a big issue in an early access game. You should be able to try out different things to test anyway, and when something drastic changes, you should have the ability to respec without it becoming a huge issue. As large and long as the campaign is, it isn't the same as PoE 1 where you could go "man my build was nerfed, I guess I have to spend 4-5 hours leveling the character again", if you didn't have the regret orbs to change it. It's dozens of hours of play to get back to where you were, and if you're over level 85+, it's over half a million gold to respec. That isn't right for an early access game that needs to be tested and when builds can be bricked at any moment, as they were with this patch.
@@iandrossaert1188 lmfao you have no clue how "testing" works....... if your a QA tester for a game you usually get to spawn shit in or do stuff the normal player isnt able to do so they can "test" stuff aka break the game.
If QA testers had to constantly farm currency to respec AFTER every skill change the game wouldnt get anywhere for testing/quality assurances for patches. its in EA so respeccing either needs to be free OR they refund the effect skill points when changes are made. otherwise ppl cannot TEST THE GAME that they paid to access early. go home with delusions of grandeur
Oh but what I can bet QA tester for POE2 get is the ability to spawn or use infinite money to check skills work the way they intended for them to work proving the point respeccing needs to be free or refunded.
@@iandrossaert1188That's how we lose players, which is not what GGG wants. This is the best solution if they are going to nuke skills.
@@123TheCloop you paid for “early access” and get mad at drastic changes. I’ll tell you this, in full release PoE top tier broken interactions like Co_ got nerfed a couple days into league making them unplayable at LOW INVESTMENT. A lot of those builds are still the strongest builds if INVESTED into.
HoT, Trap/Mine gems, Any and all necro builds, any and all aurabot builds, any crazy shotguns (I don’t remember name but shotgunning itself doesn’t work for all skills anymore), aura stackers, dex stackers, str stackers, EVERY CLASS lost a aura basically, FLASKS. And I can go on.
Early Access should NOT have any limitation or cost for changing the skills while adjusting and testing different builds - let us be the beta testers we are supposed to be 🙂
We are though, how is the cost for changing skills going to be balanced IF WE DONT TEST IT?
@Floyder... Here's the test. For a lot of players (most) that have reached end game mapping, they aren't rich. They were spending their gold respeccing passives here and there, buying gear from vendors to either wear or try crafting up... We don't have money. We aren't all super strong. Still takes me 5+ minutes to kill a boss if I dodge well... I struggled my way through the campaign; died, tried again, died some more, eventually got the bosses and got through the game. Now I'm in my 70s, near broke, and 80% of my clear potential was just nuked. Respec is expensive. I'd need to change a lot. But now I lack the clear potential to farm the gold to respec to a different build. See the issue here?
A lot of people have struggled their way to what they have and now it's just gone, like that. And instead of the response being "wah wah, cry more" we should maybe ask why there is THIS much outrage over a change. It's not just "whiny gamers whining."
@@Floyder... BECAUSE you aint balancing or testing the cost of of respeccing...... you are testing the skills them self and if they work or are bugged........ do you expect QA testers to not have infinite money or unlimited respec options when testing these skills out after changes?
If so then you need to step back and actually learn what QA testers have access to because they are NOT just a typical "player" they usually have a lot of gimmicks to help them bypass limitations that ARE meant to hamper a players progression in normal play throughs.
EA is still an unfinished game, therefor your current players are TESTERS and they need during patches like this have free respecing. other games do this because they KNOW its expensive to do so

This wasn't just a nerf for lots a players, it totally BRICKED some. The worst is for players that were planning on doing entire playthroughs together. My character is fine but my co-op buddy's is completely unplayable and it just really feels bad. I don't want to have to roll up new characters any time one of our characters gets bricked, so I guess I'll just wait to play again until full release, assuming they don't nix all of the fun builds.
yea I was gonna say welcome to EA. I got to test ESO before it came out and they reset all our progress every 2 weeks.
Respecs should be free.
Respec should always be free. Paying for a respec adds nothing but frustration to the game
100% this. "Meaningful Choice" Andies have some insane brain rot using that as reasoning to justify not allowing Free Respecs. The very fact that you can Re-roll a new character whenever you want throws "Meaningful Choice" out the window. Its just an artificial barrier to punish players for no reason. It doesn't ruin balance or harm anyone to allow it. The Gold used for Respecs can instead be used to buy more Gear from Vendors or gamble for upgrades, so the Gold Economy will be just fine.

Cool, love that.

@nolabets3130 that was funny? Your easily amused
Bro you cannot just nerf builds in early access the first fucking week, people have been grinding long hours on this game and some this is the first time playing POE or even the genre, they gotta make this right, that’s insanely punishing for no reason people aren’t going to go back if you just nuked their character they spent 30+ hours on
Its strange
Yes, but this is early access. It’s basically a beta test, so you can help the developers make the game even better.
Every game you know you will lost all beta progress, but you play anyways for fun.
Make an angry reddit post about it 😂
I would love to see some buffs to chronomancer.. time freeze duration is a little too short for a 60s base cooldown, and i don‘t see the harm in increasing the duration for increased cast speed passive (or reduce the time it‘s not active.
So we are getting close to the end of the inital hype of this game, whats the next one we are jumping Mtashed?
Nah I am just getting started lol
All the hype I had got crushed a bit with this one. I get it’s ea but putting hours into a build the having it get wrecked is pretty demoralizing. Also the cost of respec for this is a lot which is fine under normal conditions but not when builds are going to be changed left and right
Everytime they do a big nerf that can brick builds give everyone a respec. Free respec is capped at 1 per account. I feel like that will alleviate the players that invested early
5:16 You completely misread this one. This is talking about Infernal Flame which replaces mana, not life. And this is actually a buff because you WANT to be at mid or high flame to trigger passives.
Basically you used to trigger your passives at 50% and now you get them at 35. This is both easier to enter and gives you more leeway because you don't want to go to 100% ever.
"They bricked 20% builds"
Okay, which builds are bricked? SrS still more than viable. RoA still viable. Cast on X still viable.
Just because your unintended OP build (like srs dropping Grim Harvest or RoA obliterating a boss or cast on freeze triggering every second) got tuned to be not broken - doesn't mean you were nerfed to the ground and it's unplayable.
I think too many players expect it to be Poe 1 where "I run forward and everything in a screen radius dies". This is not SUPPOSED to be that kind of game, and if some build gets you to that point it is likely unintentional. 😮
WAIT IS THIS TRUE!? I AM DUMB
@MTashed NP, I think you mixed it with one of blood witch mechanics or something.
Why respecs are not free in the first place? What's purpose. Free respecs anytime will allow more flexible play style with literally no downside. Paying gold (or in case for poe 1 regret orbs) just makes no sense
I was just about to hit the endgame, 40 hours in and my build is completely bricked now. Sorc feels awful now. I am going to reroll a monk but man I have lost a lot of motivation. If they hit monks with nerfs after i just rerolled idk if I can keep playing.
Red bricks?
Sorc felt awful to anyone not using that build. Now that the build is nerfed they can actually start fixing the real problems with that class.
What motivation? This is not a finished game yet. Don't hold your breath too much.
What build? What was fixed?
Wait until full release then
i dont even have enough to respec :)
Path of Exile 2 early access should have like 1% of the cost to reset the nods. And a total reset buttom would be cool to have to. I am a new Poe2 player never played the first game so far i like it! But more info please before giving this nerfs.
the reason they probably wont give free respecs is because they still need people trying to play those builds that get nerfed to get data on the overall impact. if they try to do a cast on ignite rework, and every single cast on ignite player respecs because "its bricked" then they dont get data on how the rework is performing. if you want a new build, make a new character. takes less then a week to get a character to endgame, especially if your using the currency from your previous character to buy leveling gear.
PoE1 did this when it first released, within the first month they started tweaking skill trees and gave no compensation, and in PoE1 it was significantly more expensive to respec than it is in PoE2 requiring a relatively scarce resource as opposed to gold, the resource being so scarce that most people just reroll a character if they want to respec.
During that first season I was playing a poison archer with pierce, they absolutely gutted it, so the 80 hours I put into that character just went up in smoke. That was why I quit PoE1 and didn't come back to it for a decade. This might be early access, but I thought they learned from that since the devs only made changes to the skill tree with the release/end of seasons after that first season and never did that in the middle of a season again.
This better not be something we expect when seasons are introduced, hopefully this is just EA balancing and adjustments, because if this happens in the middle of seasons this game is gonna go in the shitter real fast.
Would you like me to call you a waambulance?
So they did something stupid, didnt learn from it, and then did the same thing again? Sounds like a bad development team to me.
Balance is a normal thing for video games my friend, but yes they should make respec free after balance patches
@@TheNichq If you suck off Blizzard any harder in the comments your mouth is gonna permanently pucker up like a fish. You sound like a non gamer to me. Video game journalist detected. You don't know what games are.
Poe1 and poe2 teams are different and it seems like poe2 devs just burrowed their heads in sand while they were focused on developing the game, many of the lessons they've learned from poe1 is lost. It seems either they prioritize the wrong things first or just completely disregard what they have learned and are starting anew
Some of us are testing. Others are playing. But respec should just be half the cost if anything.
Should honestly just be free until you finish the campaign or get to Endgame**. No harm in allowing people to experiment and try new things. All the whiny bootlickers that cry "But muh meaningful choices!" or "Gold economy will be in shambles!" are some serious anti fun brain rot who want self imposed artificial difficulty in the game. Let people play the way they want to play. Who the hell cares.
Min/Maxers are going to be doing whats optimal regardless of what GGG implements. This only hurts casual players by imposing these types of gameplay barriers, who will instead just find meta builds online and use them to farm currency to then do an actual build they find fun because of Sunk Cost and not wanting to waste time doing something that might not work out and actively punished for it.
@@gliath888 I think in a sense they're slowing down the theorycrafters for whatever reason. Cause then next thing you know there's a bunch of builds online and who knows what's extremely busted and then it leaves The dev with more things to nerf. I'm looking to make dumb builds that actually works that's it.
@@TraitorXKing I would agree, but it could also be argued that by allowing it, they could find all the issues and bugs way faster, because you have tons of people trying what works. It makes balancing easier as they are able to patch out all the imbalances they didn't catch in testing, like the Charge Skills or the Cast on stuff skills. By having all the busted builds be discovered early, they can fine tune balance a lot sooner, instead of later when everyone has gotten to end game and have settled in. It also works in tandem, because they have a ton of other stuff planned to be released, so if they don't catch anything now, it could double up and cause more issues later on.
@@gliath888 Yeah but we never know what they're prioritizing first. I do hope they figure something out cause progress might come to a halt when doing a certain build as you go. Right now with the Warrior I'm just doing Warcry shield bash and I'm clearing mobs fine. I hate the slow slam and earthquakes. But boss fights I struggle a bit xD
If the devs do this giving everyone 1 free respect would be solid without breaking the game or damaging the community ( we also have to be understanding here as its early access and they want to test things out )
I think the cast on _ nerf is neccessary when 4/5 people i play with is doing the same thing casting 10 spells a second with barely any investment just letting base damage and +lvls carry them exclusively. And with cold skills theres just freeze everywhere bc of build up like theyre not even playing the game, and ur able to do it as soon as you get the gems. Not big brain at all.
Do you know why 4/5 ppl played cast on x? Because it was fun! Plus, all the alternatives suck (at least for sorc that is). And "with barely any investment"? My entire tree is freeze build up, mana regeneration, energy regeneration etc. and I still needed to chug mana potions every single CoF proc. That is the opposite of "barely any investment".
@@The1981Johndoe people tend to forget the concept of fun in video game !! and its not a fucking competitive moba game let us have some fun...
70 crit to cast a low ass spark with cast on crit. Personally, I use Cast on Crit to get my power charge, I now need 6 mob packs to get one power charge.
I say don't half ass you nerf GGG, just remove entirely trigger gems.
Strangely they didn't, because variaty and combination is a big part of what make Path of Exile unique. They failled big with this nerf, really disapointing to see every Cast on Crit build removed, not only OP CoC Comet or what else...
@@The1981Johndoe the tree and life and mana flask are not investment, I mean gear investment. And I had turned archmage off for the spirit. I understand being strong feels fun, but PoE historically nerfed anything instantly that requires barely any gear investment.

Your point about the lack of gold and respec is valid. I can understand that GGG wants to keep the game in as good a state as possible as they go along to avoid massive changes on the launch of 1.0, but I hope that a once-off free respec after patches that heavily affect builds during EA should be easy to implement. It won't affect the balance or economy of the game in any meaningful way during EA.

bro its early access its not that deep
D4 still has millions of players a season at least. POE2 is barely at a million and the player numbers are shrinking fast. GGG should have delayed "Early Access" by another 6 months, because the game is still clearly in beta.
You're pathetic

Honestly respec costs arent that bad, I typically have plenty of gold for a respec. It's also INFINITELY better than poe 1 where you could completely brick a character cuz you only got 60 respec points EVER, and were tied to sidequests and item drops.
Ehhh early game maybe but once you hit higher level the costs are way too high
that bit on infernalist in bug fixes... that was a buff, because that means that skill, that procs while NOT on low infernal flame, procs sooner. I agree with everyone that respecs are too costly early game, but if you have seen what PoE2 aims at and you base your entire build on automation by using "cast on X" that's on you.
Haven't played poe, I love poe2 until now :)
The 2 things that ...destroyed me is a random mob I found that had mana drain and electric field something, it just charged me and I was helpless at 0 mana instantly :D and that chaos challenge, every debuff was so crushing, I never got past the 3rd level (and it has 10?!) I just assumed it was meant for way higher level.
An "early access only kind of gem" that lets you reset your talent tree would be great
They nuked all cast on spells and I’m not about it. I spent days working on leveling my sorceress and now it’s in a weird spot I have to spend a bunch of gold to respec and find a new build. They are unusable now
I can't complain about changes to how things work, it's Early Access, HOWEVER, when these changes happen, we should get a free respec.
I get its EA and I want a good challenge but consider this: The ratio of CoF for meteor was 1:1 per freeze if you used the gem that gave more energy. Post nerf its 1: 11. That’s more than a nerf, that’s a delete it from existence change. They should let us respec for free and make it 1: 3. I don’t have enough gold to respec. Not a good look ggg. Massive loss of confidence in your vision
Respec should always be free period. It's a game, and people don't always have unlimited time to play. I've never understood the concept of punishing trying new things.
and if not at least give us an option to play on "Casual Mode" difficulty where everything is exactly the same BUT no cost for respec - so we are all happy
If they make respec free then their padded 1000year playtime for the genre quickly reduces to 10 hours
Agree, it's not like the game is lacking in other gold sinks. At least until say act II IMO.
If you don't understand the concept of friction in game design then you should never ever attempt to comment on this topic ever again.
@steel5897 as a consumer ill comment on whatever the fuck I wanna comment on dumbass. It's a fucking video game, were taxed to shit in real life we don't need it in games as well. That design comes from an attempt to keep people in game. If your game is good people will play it regardless period. That's like saying you need to pay for setup changes on a car in sim racing.
People complaining about not getting a warning about changes being made in the first week of an EARLY ACCESS game is so funny
They paid for it they should know everything they're doing... Tf?? Early access should have been free
Bug fixes are never nerfs. You were just unintentionally using an exploit.
seen a video where he just held down incinerate with cast on ignite on comet and absolutely delete the boss.
Builds get bricked during early access is to be figured. So those players should be ready for such a thing. Preparing properly is key to success in any game and Path of Exile 2 is no different. I am sure there are plenty of players that are very smart. More than smart enough to know that they are playing a build that will later get nerfed because it is OP'd. Or something seems off on it but they can't put their finger on it for sure.
Should be far cheaper to respec on patch I agree with, but those using boss-instagib builds should not have a problem locating the funds for respeccing after getting the inevitable hit in this beta. Some of them sound like they should be playing POE1 instead.
Boneshatter will finally start reliably hitting the targets! That's huge!
I pray they leave my lightning Monk alone XD
Same lmao
early access is not an excuse for them to butcher builds because they are figuring stuff out, remember early access is just a paid entry into the free to play version when it fully launches (yeah many dont realise this) they should at least be either resetting skill trees OR when players log in "do you want to reset your tree because so many skill nodes have changed as of recent patches"
I dont expect this when its fully launched but during EA where the players are TESTING stuff, they sure as hell should be refunding or resetting skill trees.
Bad example as its not the same game but world of warships lets your respec commanders for free whenever they make swinging commander changes for builds. they flat out should be making it free or resetting them with major swings like this
I like how they made dodge roll 0 instead of just balancing the enemies. Probably 90% + areas I've come across so far have fast, swarming enemies. Everywhere. Feels like very little variety, they all just swarm in large numbers. Trying to stick it out, but this game is not promising so far.
I dont know if this is how it was intended to work or not but for the blood mage you still require to have mana in your mana pool to be able to cast spells. Which means i cant use the Keystone Mind over Matter. As a matter of fact i dont think there are any good keystones for a blood mage build
Complaining about changes in EA for builds that are sometimes clearly broken seems silly to me. The whole point of EA is for developers to test their game in a live environment and make adjustments and changes before the full release. I do think respeccing should be free during EA, since we’re essentially testing the skills for them, but being upset about changes like that isn't fair imo when the game literally isn’t finished. You are buying EA and they are legit telling you that the game is WIP. For all we know the game could turn out entirely different in 6 months, that is the risk with EA.
full reset item would be great idea after a patch like that
the little dark area on your webcam made me think my monitor broke :)
Spot on with the free respect. Even if it's not always free throughout the beta, at least one after each patch would be a good olive branch
I dont reallly get it. What did they change exactly with the trigger gems. Would someone be so kind to give an example ? Thanks
Only half the game is out and they will be patching and ballancing till launch. They should grant respeck when patching.
Didn't Jung post a vid of him afk mapping or something, the nerf had to be expected. All I can say is... oh wah.
Its early access and making new builds is a big part of the game. The guy replying just throwing random numbers out there because he is upset about his character. He hasnt even played the update yet!
i wonder if they will add juggernaut with warbringer being in the game, seems like it fills its purpose
one skill that needs a coding change is leapslam. the visual animation shows the toon in the air but the hitbox is invisible AND active. too many times I jump into combat only to get CCed midair or just get demolish by all the projectiles I'm supposed to be jumping over. that invisible hitbox traveling along the ground needs to have its values turned off
Vault on monk is the same way. Just get hard cc'd out of the air into death trying to use the ability that lets you escape because dodge roll is a piece of junk
This is what we signed up for.
There is a bug for cruel Ascendancy where it can't be completed. I was hoping that would be in the patch.
Rule 101 is free respecs for build breaking changes. It's been like this since ever.
Infernalists are calling this the “Mind Goblin” update.
gas grenade players begged for free respec after first nerf and other classes were quiet...now that more ppl are affected maybe they will listen
This update not only nerf my character but has also made this game crash for me every half hour. I don't know why the insist on breaking this game.
People are all like "It'S eArLy AcCeSs" until their build gets nerfed. It feels worse cuz some of us make our own builds and don't nut ride streamer builds.
They are going to change things, keep something in reserve.
So the cast on X is trash now, I understand weakening a skill by up to 2 times, but it is now 10-20 times weaker in most situations, it's like removing a skill from the game without deleting it. And by the way, it was the only mechanic that made the sorceress fun to play
Why people are confused is hilarious.
Wasted 50hrs of progress with no respec, going back to d4
Have fun
cry baby
Diablo cry baby. lol go back to Diablo ez game.
@@Prominence237 D4 is simply the better game at the moment. Especially the way GGG currently treats millions of players. That's mega frustrating and shouldn't be. We're no longer talking about a few thousand people like back in poe1, but 100,000 or even millions! You just can't do that because it destroys customer satisfaction and many will leave. That makes the development of the game more difficult, because they have less feedback and therefore less data.
They should be a bit more accommodating to the players here and not constantly make more builds worse every day. That won't work for much longer, regardless of whether it's EA or something else. The game cost 30 euros/dollars. There should be a little more consideration for the customer.
@@francopannacottta3751 The game costs nothing, and everyone playing knew what they where getting into and told way ahead of time that things like this could happen before even accepting EA...
It's pretty disrespectful to player's time to do this with no warning while also having respecs cost insane amounts of money. Even if I wanted to farm up to pay for a respec, I literally can't clear trash in cruel now because my build centered around the stuff they nerfed.
Def a bad sign of the future for this company. Nothing stopping them from doing it every time a fun build pops up and completely bricking your character.
@@SlaytonSlaytonSlayton it’s a beta lol
@@omensoffate betas don't cost 30 dollars/even more if you paid for the other support packs lol idc if its in Early access how about focus on the bugs and broken quests rather then nerf 4 builds in 2 days.
@ you paid for an early access/beta. Don’t pretend to be stupid
@@thefacts4440 so you paid for an early access where the devs literally said they would be focusing on bugs AND nerfing stuff that was too powerful. Funny that you purposefully ignore that part just to fuel your anger
@@rei_sen7646 i'm not even angry lmao i just find it absolutely braindead that a company would focus on nerfing builds so early on into a EA life cycle when there's actual meaningful issues at hand regardless of it being in EA people still paid money for it and expect a good time if this was free from the start like it's planned to be then it would be more forgiving but it's not lol most of the stuff nerfed besides comet build were not even overly strong it just sucks all the fun out the game when theres already so little build choices due to most weapons and passive tree stuff not even being in the game yet.
cast on ignite basicity never triggers cast on anymore unless you sit in there face with incinerate way to big a nerf bricked my build it maybe needed a nerf but did not need that big of 1 i even have all the increases to ignite talents and it just does nothing now yay for the fun police
I learned a lot watching your Diablo 4 content, when you were putting it out, and I'm really happy to watch your PoE2 content.
65+ hours into the game, no gold to respec, and no assurance it won’t happen again if I create another character. Result: delete character > uninstal game.
What’s even more ridiculous is that the overweight Asian director of nothing stated they’d rather buff things than nerf them, and make everything harder at the start to avoid scenarios like this. That comment was absurd. My build-a clear synergy with Freeze-was entirely my own idea without following guides or others. As a newcomer to PoE2, it seemed like an obvious choice. How did they not figure this out during beta?
They also never address game crashes when changing zones, server issues, or the latency spikes after 6 PM that ruin gameplay. The 250ms spikes even destroy your input responsiveness and keys. I’m extremely disappointed. I hope they go bankrupt and never make a PoE3.
Brother.. Keep this content coming, please. It's beyond appreciated.
....
imo If you make a build based on a bug, you're pretty much asking for It. If you give free respec then there is an entire aspect of the game not being tested
It's so easy to get gold by playing the game how are people not able to respect?
I'm still an early level warrior so all these changes are a net positive for me
Keep going, warrior start was the hardest of 4 characters! It gets better, a bit! :-D
Poe 1 players are going to soon be back on poe1, and casuals will soon be back on Call of Duty or Fortnite. "When you try to please everyone, you please no one."
And everyone else will be back on D4 and the PoE fanboys can have their over hyped game to themselves 😂.
Cast on ignite, shock, freeze will be buffed again in the future "Hopium!"
Imagine all the complaints about respecing like you didnt all just look up the strongest builds not expetcing nerfs
Every time they change passive nodes they need to give full reset to people.
They just bricked my build as soon as I got it going, feels so bad. I don't even want to play anymore!!
Womp womp
Lies, you will play
@@schustererik83 нет, я тоже ливаю пока все устаканется, сознал нового персонажа, а его убили через 15мин
@@omensoffate you suck XD
It's early access my bro
Early access is a test run. We are the guinea pigs. Treat it as such. I'm just glad that i'm able to play POE 2 this early.
All I see is people saying builds got bricked so what actually happened?
Auto-bomber map wipers and boss-oneshotter builds got nerfed, as the rest of us expected.
loving the daily videos MTashed!! Do you think you would cover POE1 when they release the new league in February or do you plan to strictly stay with POE2 content? Could potentially help keep the content going when the initial rush of Early Access starts to die down maybe? Regardless, I am loving your coverage. Keep grindin bud.
I’m only level like 8 lmao. This is my first time really jumping on a game like this. I just don’t even know what to do. Tomorrow when I get off I’m finally going to that oghams village cuz I just got the runes for the hooded one. I’m a witch and I just have an inventory of random stuff not knowing if I should just sell it all, but somehow I can maybe afford one piece of gear to buy from the level ups but they don’t even seem better than my current gear. It’s just intimidating when I don’t know if I should sell this stuff for dang 10 gold or disenchant the stuff. I don’t understand the currencies, which paths to go down at all on skill tree or what skills to pick up. It’s just intimidating when I can’t grind like crazy and don’t want to spend a ton of time to respec down the line
A good tip is to read skills tags under There name. Type those tags into the search bar on the passives tree and look for good nodes that build around a move you're comfortable using.
This game requires combo moves to deal decent dmg. So it's usually good to stick to one type of dmg type and scale that as best you can. Early skills however in this game feel like dogshit. And there are VERY few powerful combos leveling.
As a witch, your only focus should be any armor that increases your shield, for your weapons, any weapons that increas spirit.
Anything else, just insta sell it, when your inventory is full teleport back to town and sell it. You also have a stash, dont be afraid to grind it lol if you are maybe watch a playthrough. I was completely 100% new to this style of game and im almost at the end of act 2
If it has quality or sockets, dismantle on the bench, the rest disenchant unless you need gold right this moment. When you'll get more experience and understand the game better, you'll have plenty of currency to play with.
It’s not hard to comprehend at all. This is my first time playing a game like this too. I understand most things well.
TLDR:
Disenchant yellow
Sell Blue
Salvage Sockets/Quality
Pick up desired bases
good point my whole build is bricked put alot of hours in it too
They really should nerf respec prices. Or atleast make it scale with your level.
