I miss this nails era
I miss my grandma
They actually sound even better live! Talk about a rarity, especially in the hardcore scene
I've noticed that shit aswell. nails in particular
I love how when the guy on stage @ 4:40 botches a crowd dive and the vocalist just face-palms
This is magnificent. too bad the crowd is full of autistic pussies ^^
Yea, he probably thought "Oh fuck that kid broke his neck"
lol
Funny enough it was the vocalist of twitching tongues
Lmao that was Colin?
4:40 fuck, that's funny. Look at Todds reaction. He's probably thinking "shit that must've hurt."
If something is good....it doesn't matter how simple or technical it is.
Nails are a great hardcore band. The real deal.
16:46 - no comment needed
I thought I was alone 😂 they definitely got better with time.
Metal and hardcore fans aside it's pretty much all intermingled besides the purist bands and stuff. If you are a fan of heavy music it shouldn't matter. This crowd goes off hard, that's a lot better then arm crossing or the occasional headbang lol
@Old man true getting pushed around by a bunch of stinky sweaty beer belly guys is way more fun
Jami from Code Orange Kids at 13:30 in the blue
they're so good, I can't believe I'm barely getting into them.
Nice to see a fucking gorgeous Rickenbacker in the metuuhhll scene. Sick.
Nice. You're right, this is really good quality. Thanks for the upload.
I love how he just yells the name of the next song and they keep blasting through, haha.
These guys are really fucking retro for a contemporary hardcore band. It's wicked!
You can see Jamie from Code Orange and the singer for Twitching Tongue moshing in this video. Fucking hardcore.
The fact that people on here are dissing hardcore dancing is straight ignorant. One, this is fest is called This Is Hardcore where a lot of hardcore bands play, so why should there be no hardcore dancing? Two, these people are having fun just like your push pits, its a different form of moving. Three, there is no way in hell that hardcore dancing is for pussies, I have been to countless hardcore shows where some people would come out and have bloody noses and bumps on their heads. Four, have you even been to a hardcore show before? Obviously not because you think people "flailing" their arms looks stupid, there's a lot more than just "flailing". I'm basically speaking for everyone who hardcore dances, we don't judge your push pits so don't judge us.
Ya I first started going to hardcore shows I loved push pits and thought hardcore dancing was just a stupid excuse for violence but then I tried it and I started doing it more and more often at shows and honestly I find it so much more fun then push moshing. There's something about the risk involved in hardcore dancing that makes it such a rush. It's just like the fact that I know I'm gonna get hit and that I'm gonna hit others makes it exciting, and I feel like it fits to the beat of the music better than a push pit. It's better when the pit is smaller so that there's actually contact being made. As long as people aren't crowd killing I don't see why people have a problem with it
Noah Brierley That's the problem; nowadays (especially in the Netherlands where I live) it's basically ONLY crowdkilling. It fucking sucks if you just want to enjoy seeing a band play without the risk of getting your teeth broken.
ya I'm from canada and it's pretty rare that I see someone being a real dickhead and doing that. but it does happen occasionally
If someone crowdkills here at a local show in Illinois they get kicked out or targeted by fellow showgoers deliberately hurting someone is not ok where I live
Let's randomly beat the shit out of random people for not looking like us or being like us. Fuck " hardcore" dancing. At least in my scene anyway, where hardcore is miss may I.
i am so in LOVE with that band
This is awesome... always loved the bands Todd Jones was in in the past. Ordering the records off of Amazon now!
Had to go way back to 2012 for those high vocals (and not bald!)
Wish they still screamed like that, way more intense.
fuck! I wanna see these guys live! love the sound quality too!
Fuck yeah, this is great footage right here!
I just listened to these guys for the first time not long ago and I regret not hearing them out earlier.
This band gives me goosebumps :)
The best video of Nails imo.
Man lots of good bands out there you just have to look.Love the intensity and can see the pit for these guys must be intense!!
This is one of the best Live Video... fucking great, total support to Nails from Nepal.
"WE'RE FUCKIN' NAILS!"
i will edit it the way you said it, thanks for your help man, i just copy/pasted it from setlist.com
How the fuck did this get recorded? It sounds so amazingly crystal clear. Also, they played incredibly well with absolute professionalism and no sloppiness. Hardcore/Grind scene needs to take a page from Nails; playing this kind of music doesn't give you an excuse to be bad at your instrument! Thanks for the upload.
This quality is insane! You need to film these sets every year! Seriously, good work sir!
Thank you very much!
wow, what a perfomance - kicks my balls
thanks for uploading this, looks/sounds killer...great band!!!
Thanks for the vid! Can't wait for them to hit up the U.K
Nice, very nice...just discovered this band, starting to really get into their music. A gig with these guys and Black Breath would be amazing.
that bass player always looks so fucking pissed haha
True
This shit made me pump my shaft in the most vigorous of manners.
Don't listen to hardcore metal much but Unsilent Death is an awesome song .
I actually got that video on a CD, I credited everything and everyone I could find from having a quick skip through the songs. You know, I uploaded this for YOU, I wouldn't mind at all if you just told me I forgot something, but coming around the corner and just throw in piracy is not ok imo. I'm actually sorry for that, no doubt, honour to those who deserve it, I'm just asking you to be a little more polite, I'm doing it without taking any profit from it what so ever. Thanks anyway.
Great band and looking forward to the new record!
This is SICK!
i guess you gotta consider the other videos that are around. this in comparison to the others is rather good, but there are almost no underground videos with a really decent overall quality. thanks to all y'all btw for 2000 views, 30 likes and zero dislikes, quality crowd in here eh?!
awesome!!!!!! this band is so good
This is amazing!!!
That fucking Straight Ahead cover. Fuck. Can't wait to see them this year at THIC. What an insane line up.
nails is seriously the answer to all my problems!
Crushing! Brutal
It is also all in opinion, hence why I would not bash at your opinion or on other bands like this fabulous band Nails... We all have different acquired tastes, and that is what ultimately brings us rock/metal heads like us together with such diversity. ^.^
Holy shit!
These guys kill!
all of the boss HM-2 in this
you sure showed them
Breaking: presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says if elected he will make sure the American people will receive a new full length album from nails within one month of being elected.
Show you're right.
+Nick Basset Hey I love your work in Whirr and Nothing.
+Nick Basset You will never be one of us.
I missed their show at Roskilde festival because I was in line for Jack White, I'm not sure I would have survived the brutality.
You also could have titled this "Code Orange Kids pitting everywhere"
anyone else notice the kid in the front who looks like he's conducting the whole set?
FUCKING AWESOME!
Looking forward to july 4th!!!:)
love how intense the bass player is compared to the mellow drummer..lol. great upload..
When the mic gets tossed in to the audience at the end of I Will Not Follow I get shivers.
Great chunky riffs and great energy! I don't care what the fuck you're doing, just let me enjoy the show.
fuuuck man nails goes fucking hard, i would get so rowdy if i was there
will check them out at graspop. Sounds great
Acrylic drums! Nice!
1st song is conform, riff at the intro sounds like depths from unsilent death
HOLY SHIT
I'll go ahead and say yes. You can also see Jami in the bue shirt at 4:40, so I'm pretty sure it's her.
Jeesus, that gunshot snare sound!
I thought moshing was about interacting with the rest of the crowd and having fun, not standing in one area and punching the air.
Seth Robinson It is now. Unfortunately.
shut up nerd
the face todd makes at 4:40 when colin (twitching tongues) bites it..
nails are fucking savage!!!!!!!!
Inspired by crust and grind much ????? And the HC kids love it !!! Great band !
Oh yeah, COK was obviously there.
I have listened to many metal bands, and no, I am not going to bring up bands that are in metalcore or deathcore, since they are NOWHERE near the melodic metal scene. I have grown up with Children of Bodom, but I have also heard great metal bands like Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist, After the Burial, Battlecross, Amon Amarth, Fleshgod Apocalypse, The Black Dahlia Murder, etc. I know there are other bands MUCH better than Children of Bodom, but they will always be my preferred band.
Have you ever seen American History X? 8:25
Please play Coachella ..
5:23 alegria para o filho do lepas....sonzeira !!
A hardcore thing.
Tracklisting seems weird here, the song he dedicates to Blacklisted isn't a cover, it's I Will Not Follow, list should be 05 I Will Not Follow, 06 Cry Wolf 07 Wide Open Wound, 08 Breakaway, 09 Suffering Soul 10 Unsilent Death
Revenge Of The Giant Face - Returning Home
Someone explain to me why there's all these armchair experts out there saying Nails don't back up their studio recordings - not only that but flat out saying they're shit live?? This sounds pretty fucking rad to me!
for the most part i can't stand stage diving, but those two divers at 3:00 made a pretty smooth on stage pass there without fucking up each other or the band
If you think Children of Bodom's melodies separate them from most bands, you really haven't explored much aside from the few metal bands that everyone knows about...
Jami Morgan from Code orange is in the front with a blue shirt
Because they are a hardcore band playing at a hardcore festival in front of hardcore kids
Very good sound quality on the drums and vocals. I guess Taylor Young doesn't like guitars.
Yeah¡
That can almost be considered Grindcore, but I'm not one to label
THAT MOTHERFUCKING INTRO!
it shouldve been a part of conform man
+BRYAN COVARRUBIA yes dude that intro is just so fucking heavy
Its friggin awesome man, i wish they could re record conform with the intro
what is the intro at the begginning???? i want to learn that on guitar! this band is fucking sick
depths its the last song on unsilent death
Np :)
Definitely has dark grind elements... The players in this band have been in hardcore bands in the past... I think it's more the attitude and lack of guitar solos that differentiate this from other bands considered metal.
Anyone else spot Jami from Code Orange Kids in the blue shirt?
I highly disagree... Children of Bodom's melodies are what separates them from most metal bands, especially if the lead guitarist is also the vocalist, and pulling both of those off in an almost flawless manner is what I can call TALENT, and comparing them to Nails is COMPLETELY different, especially for they are both in completely different genres... Also, I have to agree with you that Nails is AMAZING... They ARE talented...
where's "wide open wound"? it's listed here but i can't find it in the video hahaha
Why does the setlist say Wide Open Wound if they didn't even fuckin play it? -.-
What a coincidence 4:20 is the best fucking part
I know right, what is wrong with these hardcore kids thinking its ok to get into a hardcore band.
Except its grind, not hardcore.
I fucking know all this whining about hardcore dancing somebody please crowd kill these pussies my god.
Reba Meyers of COK @8:35?
It's actually I will not follow. :)
I don't get whats the big deal with the pit. Just get crazy inside, swing your arms. start a circle pit.
мясо!!!!
wide open wound isn't in this set.
