@@meryscantamburlo4174 omg yes, but not only headache, do you also have the hair root pain? From having the hair in different direction for too long? That is the worst!
My grandmother had very long hair and she used to do it up similarly to this. It’s kind of a poignant memory from my childhood. Ever since she passed away I’ve been wanting to replicate it to feel closer to her in some way, but haven’t been able to figure out how she did it. I literally want to cry thinking about finally finding a tutorial for something that looks so similar to her. Thank you. 💜
How long was your grandmother’s hair? Pretty Shepherd’s comes all the way down to her knees, but mine is only classic length (which is still long enough for this style!).
Your blessed to have had such a wonderful grandma. When I lost my own it was/is difficult. She was the biggest influence on my life I'm blessed for having known her. Mine wore her blond hair in the style of Marylin Monroe in the early 1960's. I miss her....
Mach weiter so Du Schöne Hirt.❤
I was watching this at my vanity this morning. The hubby came in and saw me watching and got so excited, because he thought I was following the tutorial....which I guess means I need to now haha. We both love watching you!
PrettyShepherd so I’ve done it, however I ended up having to wrap my hair around the bottom of my skull in a spiral. I guess my hair is just a tad too short. Still love it though! Thank you!
Elisa Finlayson The only way my hair is “waist-length” is if it’s the waistline of a Regency gown. I guess my hair is still a bit too short for this, and I generally prefer to have two braids anyway, because I don’t like having any bulk at the nape of my neck, especially when sleeping.
this is GORGEOUS. you look absolutely magical. Never had I wished for long and thicc hair as much as while watching this. Sadly my hair is fine, slippery and doesn't hold much of a shape without products, which I dislike using. It sees bobby pins and it laughs at them. Sometimes I do the side rolls to feel fancy, they last 4 hours, tops. AND YET. I shall be trying this.
Same!!! And now that I’m getting older my hair is thinning more. As if it weren’t thin enough to begin with. At least when I was young it was bright blonde and thick enough to have it to my waist. Now it’s a weird light brown/ odd color that doesn’t even have a name. I will say I haven’t gone gray yet at 54. But this young woman has gorgeous gray hair!
Oh, thank you so much for this! Finally, a successful "crown braid." Due to the coronavirus, I can't go to work, the gym, etc, so I needed this! I did a very easy variation: I left some hair out, next to my face, and curled it. I have a very soft face and prefer to have more hair next to my face. And volume. More hairstyles like this would be great! I love the historical/fantasy styles, but can be discouraged by how hard they can be, especially if it involves any kind of detailing at the back of my head (which I can't see).
THis HAIRSTYLE omg I tried it and it is EXACTLY as advertised! I have tried it for a few days now and got so many compliments! It is super comfortable, very easy, and just stays in place during the day. I have no idea how, bc my hair usually doesn't do that (very fine hair). Can definitely recommend!
yes, this is easy! But I couldn't finish it. I thought my hair was long until I tried this hairstyle :D guess I will have to stick with the two braids method, but for today, I'll be wearing a "twist on a traditional english braid" :D
This is exactly how my grandma has worn her hair every day for her entire life. She has never cut it (nope, not even once) and I always wondered exactly how she did this hairstyle. I think this is it! Thank you!!
@@imkeplerandgaybut9381 no, because as she’s gotten older it’s gotten brittle and the ends kind of break. She’s 94 now and I haven’t seen it down in many years but I think it’s only about chest-waist length now. At its longest I think thigh or knee length. A lot of people’s hair just doesn’t grow much longer than that!
Well, you certainly encouraged me NOT to cut my hair!! How beautiful!!! At 67 I have very, very few grey hair, and my hair is long, thick, and already halfway down my back. It's getting to the difficult to manage stage, but you have inspired me to try new stuff. Why not... Nows the time for me to be the aging hippy free spirit 😁👍❤️❤️
I am so thankful for finding this. My hair is now past my shoulders. I'm older 58 and I have no desire to cut my hair at this point. Thank you for inspiration.
I tried this and it came out really nice! I put one of my sons dragon figurines at the back so it's even more awesome! Thank you for the video . . . and your wit. . . and the floofy cat snark.
I can't decide if my 90's nostalgia is due to the fact that I just miss being a small child who didn't have to deal with the horrors of the world, or if the past 20 years were just that bad.
I think it's a bit of both As we grow older we start to notice issues that older people handled for us But also it sounds like it's overall a bit harder now
One more way to dress it up: find a ribbon or strip of fabric about the thickness and length of half of your hair and use it as one section of your braid. This gives you a thicker braid and a pop of color throughout the hairstyle.
Your so young and grey like me! im 32 and full on grey and im letting it grow out im half way there. More women should do this! its so beautiful its natural beauty and it cant be beaten. I admire you so much!
I love this so much! my hair is too short for the one braid to wrap around but it gets me excited for when I'll be able to do it. I love the flowers and decretive hair combs.
We have almost identical everyday hairstyles!! (I also have hair that is too long to just leave down or even really in a braid.) Braids wrapped around the head is amazing!
Thumbs up for 2 days hairstyles! I already wear this style quite often, but I use a method with two braids more suited to my hair (not so long nor so thick as yours)
Wow you've got some length. It's been almost a year since I had my hair cut and it's only down to the mid back. I can only do one half the crown braid look. It looks like I'll need a few more inches to try your style. Love it!
My resolve to continue growing my hair out is renewed! After imediately taking down my mid-back length curly hair down and wrapping it around my head, I can say with certainty that I'm gonna have to stick with two braids for the time being. P.S. 90s pearlized barrettes! Omg, that brings back actual memories of newly married with newborn and 5yo sons. I did have pretty one hair back then which I braided, and I remember buying pearlized hair accessories!!! Very romantic. I love your video...thanks!
Thank you so much! I have hair about as long as yours and, while I do love it, it’s so hard to find styles for it since anytime I look up “hairstyles for super long hair” I get a bunch of people doing hair thats only to the mid back. On top of that it doesn’t help that my hair is half-curly half-straight so it’s extra hard to style. Most of the time I just clip it back on a half up and go, but that leaves the majority in the way. Thanks again! Amazing Chanel!

I love the styles that you do with your hair! Simple, yet looks complicated. Absolutely beautiful! Great informational video! I’m trying out this hairstyle right now 👍
You are darling! Thanks for the fun and inspirational videos. I have long but straight, fine and relatively thin hair. Nice to see style that doesn’t rely on voluminous, curly hair! Looking forward to trying this out.

You are so cute, this is so practical! Very good video! Like I told Torrinpaige: Mind blowing! For months I've been working in my head, twist from the top all the way down (just like you did), and then a rope braid. Which is not do-able and I've been trying to think this through, because it would be so pretty and easy. But not do-able. Now, an English braid! Ah hah! Fantastic! Pretty, easy, do-able! Much better than anything my brain was planning. Thank you very much, PrettyShepherd!
Fantastic and super easy hairstyle - i love to see more like this! Sadly my hair isn't long enough for now, but time will change it. I cut my hair 2018 down to 6 milimeters and it's almost back to shoulder lenghs (40cm in 3,5 years) I am so happy that i found your channel. Thank you so much for your ideas, work and tips from wise old ladies ❤️
So beautiful and versatile. I used to do a very similar twisted sides hairstyle when I worked as a costumed interpreter in an historical. My hair was only just past shoulder length, so I did the twist, secured the ends in a little ponytail, and then tucked them in at the nape of my neck with bobby pins. It looks lovely on you. Thank you for sharing 😊
Finally someone with long and thick hair doing styles that are not just a giant buns. My hairline can’t take a heavy bun at waist length hair

Love! very nice! I gotta try it on my long hair. Thanks!
Fantastic and super easy hairstyle - i love to see more like this! Sadly my hair isn't long enough for now, but time will change it. I cut my hair 2018 down to 6 milimeters and it's almost back to shoulder lenghs (40cm in 3,5 years)
I am so happy that i found your channel.
Sounds like a really lovely style too! It’s sweet of you to share! Thanks! 😊
