  • This video is about reviewing the JPNTECH Chinese chainsaw. start and doing some cutting with it .This is a low cost saw sale by amazon manufacture in china I use this chainsaw on different projects and is working very well. Not recommend for no experience user. you will do better with a
electric chain saw. But if you are looking for something affordable for home use you probably like this one.

I own one of these and I have a few thoughts about what I saw in your video. According to the "Professional Level, Gasoline Saw User's Manual," (page 14) that comes with the JPNTECH J-780, 60cc, 20 inch chainsaw you are using, you need to mix the ethanol-free gas to 2 cycle oil at a ratio of 20:1 for the first 20 hours of operation. What you mixed was 25:1 which is to be used only after the 20 hour break-in period. Note: The mixing container will leak (as it did for you) unless you supplement the cap gaskets with something that makes a better seal. I found that a thin sliver of wine bottle cork is just the right size and works perfectly. Secondly, the mixing container has no markings for mixing a 20:1 ratio, but if you mix 500 ml (half a liter) of ethanol-free gas to 25 ml 2 cycle, you'll have a 20:1 mix. Thirdly, the richer gas to oil mixture during the break-in period is good for the engine. But don't worry about voiding the warranty if you don't do this because as far as I can tell from the paperwork, this chainsaw has no warranty. On the other hand, I've read very good things about JPNTECH's customer service. Finally, engaging the chain brake (which is a feature built into the front guard) by pushing the front guard forward towards the chain bar until it "clicks" will keep the chain from moving when you start the engine. Having the chain moving when you start it (as you did) is not the best safety practice. However, once the engine has started, the brake can be disengaged by pulling back on the front guard when you get ready to test or use it.

Hi wow thank you for your tips and comments i.I really appreciated. You are right. During the time making the video right when I started the saw the breake was stuck i was trying to free it but no go so I continued with thd video and edited that part out becouse I didn't know if was me or a malfunction on the saw . Later I take apart and find out that the springs were out of place and not very wel calibrated so it was pushing only in one direction locking the saw and it won't release it after some time I got it fixed. I ben cutting 4 trees with it from 15 inch diameter to 24 and work really good I really like it I hope yours is doing good to thank you again for your comments and tips appreciated.

You seem knowledgeable, can you tell me what size chain this takes? I’m sure they sent me one the wrong size. They sent me one for an 18” guide and mine is 20”.

Hi yeah is really good for the money. I know the hig end expensive ones exist but not for my budget. And here is the fact dont matter what brand they are they are all made in China . And the manufacturer in China are not loyal to no one .this one is a copy of hig end brand that sale in the US for $600 not going to name it becouse I don't want to lose my channel I pay $110 on Amazon with a coupon . I not a save on chainsaw and you might have to do some adjustments here and there but in general is a beast. The chain that comes with is the full chisel good chain 30 degre . Not care for I use 10 degre ripping sharpening myself. But hey free chain is free chain .thanks for you comment
