I'm sorry about the audio - this month has been such a shit show trying to get the audio to play nice for some reason, my old mics and this new one just do not want to cooperate. Also - a huge thank you to my Patrons for helping naming this video!
Personally, the quality of your information more than makes up for any dip in your usual standard to quality of production. I wasn’t bothered by this in the slightest👌
I was wondering if I could add a request here. I wish you, and other witchy content creators, didn't use background music as much. It's impossiple for some of us neurodivergent people to watch videos with music as it'll cause almost an instant sensory overload. Thank you for taking this into account. Love your content, the ones I'm able to watch.
Here are some ideas: Lamp: Maybe put a petition under the lamp for more recognition in your job or to “shed light” on a particular issue Chip clip: Use on a poppet when you’re “in a pinch” and release the chip clip to remove obstacles. Maybe it can be used as a binding by clipping a taglock Spoon: Since metal spoon flips the image you can use it like a mirror for a reversal spell. You could anoint the edges with oil and speak an incantation to reverse a situation Toothpaste: Charm your mouth after a heated discussion to cool it down and come back with a fresh perspective Books: Pick a passage or picture from the book that aligns with your intention and place a taglock in the book until your spell is done Scissors: In a lot of folk practices they’re used as a protection charm (because of the properties of iron) when placed by the bed or in a bible Coffee Grounds: Try using coffee grounds in a “bittering” spell. Like the opposite of a sweetening spell. Or to banish “bitterness” from your life when you throw it out Remote: I think as a domination charm Bread twist ties: Maybe knot spells Rubik’s Cube: An unsolved one could be used as a protection charm to confuse enemies This was such a cool challenge. Seeing the comments, I think this video really uses the power of community. It also shows how limitless magic really is.
I give coffee grounds to my plants, since they are generally considered protective/money herbs maybe I can ask them to use the coffee to help build resilience to bitterness/resentment? The remote idea is genius because you can use the battery recess for a herb sachet.
@@jessshnarcky1089 I audibly gasped at the herb sachet idea. Didn’t think about that. That’s also great symbolism with the coffee grounds for resilience
Can definitely paint a sigil on the back of the remote to have more control over certain aspects of life- or even a remote that no longer works to be reused- what if it can even designate a button for cleansing- like point a portion of the home, click the button, and (either in addition to usual cleansing practices as a finalizing factor or on its own) boom, all before it is cleansed! Or something like that...
The Rubik’s cube could be used as a form of tarot/general divination. You could draw a unique symbol with different meanings on each small square and then scramble the cube around a certain number of times and then the pattern of symbols you get on a specific face of the cube can be analyzed and interpreted. Kinda of like bone throwing but on a fixed cube lol.
If you want to use oils in your laundry I recommend the wool dryer balls. You can add a few drops of oil and toss them in the dryer, you can also add sigil’s drawn on or embroidered with colored embroidery threads. Loving all your ideas it’s a fun topic to play around with.
I would think that you could definitely embroider sigils into your bed sheets and clothing for different purposes. But books are so versatile for spells because they're so symbolic! I can see you leaving a person's name in a specific place in the book to manifest similar situations? Also pressing flowers in specific books might be a way to give them an extra romance kick or something. Sleeping with a book under your pillow to induce similar dreams? A dictionary or thesaurus for spells involving speech/eloquence? Children's books for spells involving innocence, creativity or play?
For hair products : you could use conditioner as a type of invisible veiling method, because conditioner is there to put a protective film over your hair
PLUNGER: Really good for breaking habits or barriers. It can help clear the blockage if you're maybe dealing with creative block, or need to clear the way for a new phase in life. As well as, like Olivia said, a 'drowning' of sorts (like a swirly) if you are doing hexes or a curse. Or! You can look at it as drowning a bad habit, like alcohol; pour the alcohol down the toilet in a ritual based scenario and plunge away any blockages that would keep you from your healing.
Talking about glamours and hair products was clever! I use color magic when dying my hair. I charge it with my intention when I’m mixing up my dye. It actually creates for a very powerful glamour that actually lasts a while due to color last in your hair for a bit longer.
I love all the creativity in the comments! The remote, put a sigil on it to never be lost again. Maybe as a protection charm to keep negative media out of your home?
A friend of mine did a working once with a hammer- and some tacks; they hand-embroidered a small flag (bout handkerchief-sized) with protection sigils for their home and family, then nailed it to a wooden staff. Symbolically, 'nailing your colors to the mast' is a refusal to surrender, so it fit the theme of perseverance in the working.
That Rubix cube idea sounds so savage. Going to keep that idea in my arsenal. In that same vein. You could do all that, scramble it BEFORE enchanting and dressing or whatever. And it could help unscramble someone's life and make it orderly as you put it back together and then reseal in mod podge or something. Sounds like a lot of work, however, if the situation calls for it, the work could be worth it. A lot of ideas here to ponder. I love it.
For books, you could always do bibliomancy or use poems in spells. Utilizing a dance pole would be a cool way to make a maypole! For a remote, the first thing I thought of was a sigil in the back intended for the person always grabbing the remote, as a way to reduce their control over a situation. Each button mash can drive the point home lol. With stuffed animals you can utilize a home guardian, especially if you have a kiddo. But there are so many possibilities using what you have!! Heck, my "money bowl" is actually a shrimp tank. Little expensive cherry shrimp in a heavily planted aquascape, with basil cuttings growing out the back in water and money under the tank, along with other goodies :) the goal was to have money flow into my life and to maintain my finances. It's worked out perfectly
The spoon one I think of that scene from lio and stitch where she turns the plastic spoons into poppets of her “friends” essentially and sticks them in a pickle jar to punish them so you could do that. Use them as a base of poppets of yourself or others
Toothpaste could be used to wash away negative words you say about yourself or others. Maybe to talk sweeter to someone you can clean your mouth before you say so bc of that freshness. Maybe use that if you need to give fresh ideas and need the creative boost. You can also brush teeth as a means of washing away bad intent maybe after a hex/curse that used an incantation as a way to get rid of the "bad taste in your mouth" after a ritual
Spoons to me signify always having food available. So a spell for plenty, and food security for those in financial difficulties. Enchanting toothpaste for eloquence, persuasiveness, communication skills etc is great. Creating wall art as a form of deity devotion. Or an attraction spell. So a painting of a library to attract opportunities for learning or motivation to study. Remote - turn down the volume on someone's gossip, or negative self talk, instead of using prayer beads, click the volume down button with each repetition.
Have you read Like Water for Chocolate? It's a magical realism story. Tita's emotions tend to affect the food that she cooks for her family which has a tendency to affect them in different ways. (It comes with food recipes. ) I know it's a bit off-topic, but I found it to be a entertaining.
Remotes in theory could be really versatile. You could use them for beginning or activating things (on) or eliminating, banishing, and cleansing (off). Similar to a freezer bag spell, you could pause situations. You could use the volume buttons to symbolize or decreasing something. Every button on the remote has a purpose that could be used symbolically.
An idea about a magical use for a metal spoon (had to pause the video for this). If in one situation you think that your vision is not clear, or others are trying to pass on a distorted image of yourself, you can recite a spell on the concave side of the spoon (if you look at yourself, you appear upside down), and then slowly rotate the spoon to the convex side to "gain back the right way of looking at things" (sorry if I wrote something weird, English is not my first language). Same thing if you need to change perspective, in that case I would go from the convex to the concave side... Anyway, just a thought...I was fascinated by the reflexion on the two sides of the spoon since I was a kid...
@@TabithaReminiec3399 thanks...I wasn't sure of all the words I have written...some come from Latin, so it should be easier for me, but there are so many "false friends", and these are not words I use daily, I was afraid I was overdoing it or just rambling nonsense...better to always put a disclaimer...
I'd say toilet paper would be great for petitions -- instead of burning or burying it, you could let it sort of dissolve in a bowl of water, or at least the ink would go into the element if the paper itself is not too dissolvable. For a spoon, I'd address the spoon theory and use a buch of spoons to increase physical/mental energy capacity. Maybe fill them with corresponding stuff (metallic spoons, secured in a plce, can be used for burning powedered incense) for a day, or add a spoon to the fold whenever I feel a surge of good energy around (maybe on a full moon), kind of to add it to increase my/someone's max capacity. Remote option 1 (probably requires destruction of it): a sympathetic stand-in for a manipulator in your life! Remote option 2: use it in a spell for successfull versatility, like if you have a job or a project where you need to be able to switch between things quickly and efficiently. Remote, coffee, a Two of Pentacles card and something for success, and there we go.
Fantastic ideas. I’m recovering from leg surgery so can’t get outside to bury petitions, didn’t think about your toilet paper method. I’m so grateful ❤ and your spoon idea will help me too. Pain reducing my daily energy spoons etc
I think wooden spoons have been discussed on other channels to enchant with sigils for tasty, health, energy giving food etc. Such as carving or wood burning. Although I think you could just draw it on the furthest part of the handle
Bread ties / twist ties - I use these a lot for my magickal plants and plants in general. Many plants need support in order to grow healthy, such as tomatoes. I will put support sticks next to the plant, and use a twist tie to bind the vine or plant to the stick so that it grows healthy and doesn't collapse on itself. It helps a lot! And a non-magickal use is I sometiemes use ties to close small trash bags.
For remote controls - Lon Milo DuQuette was recently speaking about using a remote control for divination and asking a specific question and scrolling on mute and then hitting unmute when you feel ready - and doing it a few times and stringing a word from each together - I did try it and it was pretty accurate... I was also thinking of the laundry fluff - you can use and save as a taglock for yourself or your family in workings. Love this conversation in general - I did a video on how to use mundane items for witchcraft a few years ago too. X
I know it may be slightly controversial, but for animists/panentheists- everything has a spirit, even electronics. Your power tools, research computers, phone, etc. can be incorporated as a spirit in your practice. What are their strengths? What do they need to function? How do they aid you? This is all a part of their spirit. Try anthropomorphizing them in your head to get a better understanding of their energies. This is just what works for me, not the ‘right way’, but seeing technology as having spirit was a hurdle for me so I wanted to pass it on :)
For the lamp (I'm thinking like a desk lamp or can be aimed) can be used as like a "sun" to charge or "grow" something into existence. Kinda like the garden lamps used for indoor plants. 5:52
Vacuum, brooms, cleaning tools : you can put sigils on them and infuse magic directly into them to do the same job as sprinkling things onto the floor and letting it sit. Books: Stitchomancy is super useful, especially combined with Tarot and using it with the tarot books that come with the cards (especially for those starting out). You can sew sigils or symbols on the pet toys (depending on what they are made of). Bread ties: knot magic :) Cooking: I know this isn't about aromas but I have started signing spells into the food I am making as I am cooking them - had powerful results with this.... These are just some of my practices in these areas. Great video!
Most of my magic is based on associations, thus: Books = representation of knowledge or of (insert genre), e.g. romance book for love spells, mystery for illusion spells or inducing confusion for a hex or ward) Remote = representation of control, e.g. taking control of a situation or breaking someone else's control over you
Stuffed animals: if you or someone else sleeps with them, charge them with intentions for a good night's sleep. If you make one or can alter one, you can add sachets inside or fill it up with herbs, you can also add sigils, charm bags, amulets, spell jars, etc. You can also have one be a ward in your or someone else's bedroom, like potted plant wards. I've also seen people with stuffed animal familiars.
i can think of so many things to do with books. beyond using them as representations of knowledge/learning/wisdom/creativity (or the subject matter itself) in a ritual, you could place petition papers inside them (maybe even with pressed flowers matching an intention?) on certain pages where scenes are happening that are similar to your intent; you could use them for bibliomancy, build spells on top of them (to represent a foundation of knowledge and study) i can think of so many-
screws or hammers were used in the past on poppets. sew a button hole in the forehead of a poppet (like a 3rd eye) and wrap a suggestion petition around the screw and twist it through the hole to give someone ideas. if the person is stubborn you can write the suggestion on a dowel and hammer it through their thick head lol. In the distant past mostly women used this spell to cause a man to propose. nails that are the absolute best for witchcraft are masonry nails they are square with an off-sided head often called coffin nails.
stuffed animals can be turned into a servitor. bread twists can be made into a frame for poppets to make them pose in a position. like begging for a date or humbling themselves maybe even standing proud after a victory. the remote could be used in control spells. spamming the mute button during a ritual to silence someone or gluing the mute button down and keeping it pointed at a picture or poppet. the sale papers can be used to cut out things like half off and then glue them to a photo of someone to cheapen their reputation or glue it to a photo of a couple to break them up. create a poppet and stuff it full of 10% off coupons for a weight loss spell or 2 for 1 coupons as a weight gain spell. the smell of food being cooked is a direct offering to the gods and spirits. in the past, a fire was built under stone altars, and the fat of a lamb was seared on it to attract the attention of gods. the one thing I do as an offering to the gods and spirits is to place booze on their altar. things like wine or spiced rum even moonshine. let it evaporate before removing the dish it is in. for ritual purposes when dealing with spirits like High John the Conqueror, I will drink a bit of spiced rum while smoking a flavored cigar and offer the sensations I am feeling as an offering to him. don't inhale the smoke just puff on it for taste.
Laundry magic has actually become one of my favorites. Depending on what I feel I need or want to work in, sometimes I’ll throw a sachet of cleansing and shielding herbs in with the wash tied up tight so it doesn’t shake loose in the cycle. Other times I’ll put just a splash of Florida water instead of fabric softener. And honestly, it’s so much better than softener for the smell. A tiny scented reminder when you wear it of your intentions. A lot of commercial laundry detergents (Tide in particular) have been designed to slowly eat away at your clothes over time, and thus creating a market for you to buy new clothes more often. It’s actually really easy to make your own laundry soap and you can include whatever you feel is necessary to work your magic into it. Plenty of sources online or books on creating your own home cleaning products that imo work so much better and lack the very chemical smell from commercial brand products.
In addition to this, pillow soaks/pillow stripping is AMAZING. To strip your bed pillows of oils, dirt, the yuck in general, fill a tub with the hottest water possible. Add 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup borax and either 2 cups liquid detergent or 1/2 cup powder detergent and then submerge and soak your pillows for 24 hours. Flip or move them around every so often and you’ll see how much yuck comes off of them! Then toss those bad boys into your washing machine, no soap and here you can add whatever laundry magic you’d like. I like to use my sachet of herbs for dream work here. Dry em up with some tennis balls or wool balls in the dryer, then I like to top off with palo santo spray before putting them back on the bed. Smells amazing, sleep spells are amplified. Have fun with it!
I love Bane so-so much! He reminds me of my black Maine Coon. I had to say good-bye to Jinxy after 16 years and I miss him so much. Watching Bane brings me wonderful memories and makes me feel so much better. 🥰🐾❤️ oh, and fun topic!
Here's a thought on screws and the act of using a power tool to screw one in to something- Binding spells. Depending on the materials at hand, one could use the symbolism of the permanence of attaching things with a screw to strengthen a binding spell. For example, in the same vein as your 'last nail in the coffin' idea, your screw(s) can act as the ultimate fastener in a binding spell that utilizes a small box. You could either use them to close a box, or screw them *through* something that is acting as the target of your spell. Unrelated, but if you didn't notice, it seems like the left and right channels of your audio are about one frame out of sync with eachother.
I love this! Ok here's the ideas I've got: Power tools give me Uranian vibes, so I'd invoke the energy of Uranus & use them with the intention of bringing about sudden change to propel a situation forward, with a project & power tool that symbolizes the intention. Microwave a potato poppet until it 'splodes as a hex, or make a microwave mug cake to quickly bring some sweetness into your life? I could see using a remote in a spell for reclaiming agency, with an affirmation like 'I choose what's best for me as easily as pushing a button' or some such thing. Bread twist ties, especially if you have a lot of them, could be woven together with the intention of weaving fate, and either make a shape with them or just a swatch you could write the intended result on and the ties would represent all the pieces that need to fall into place to create that result. Or you could strip them to get the wires from them, which I think would be made of aluminum alloys (?) and therefore could be used to call in cooperation of a group, as aluminum easily forms bonds and is malleable. Ooo junk mail! I save all the postage paid envelopes I get with credit card offers and stuff to use in love magic (as in spreading love in the world, not getting the perfect romantic partner kind of love magic). I write down nice poems, inspiring quotes, or words of encouragement and send them back in the envelopes so whoever opens them hopefully gets a smile in the middle of their work day. You never know what effect that'll have but I love doing this kind of Chaotic Good magic. Seashells - shells of any kind carry protective energy, and seashells can always be used to invoke sea entities and the Water element.
I used to smoke cleanse underneath a lit lampshade, to cleanse/charge my own light/aura and watch my unwanted energy be pulled out the top which also looks really cool
I always have my scissors open in the window( resting between the panes) my Italian grandmother always opened scissors in her window for protection. Especially against storms.
A cool thing with a lamp would be if you build it “depending on the material” put a spell inside the body of the lamp so every time you use it it is putting your intention out.
Use a cheap wood burning tool to burn a sigil on a wooden spoon - like for health, and stir your coffee with it every day. Can also use wire to attach crystals to the handle.
Very fun video. A great mental exercise. And I know this one's probably obvious, but you could use a book as the base of an altar, or set spell on top that is related to the subject of the book. And then it wouldn't need to be damaged. Maybe if you're a student, a textbook could be used for help in picking up a subject quickly. Add slips of paper inside that are written spells for memory or comprehension, specifically between pages with important information.
Stuffed toys could be great for a sleep charm just make a sleepy charm bag pop it inside the stuffed toy then sew it shut again obviously if your gifting it make sure the person is not got to be negatively affected by any of the ingredients 😅 💚
Using spoons for mirror scrying or magick is I think a very underrated craft. Was lowkey sad when you didn't mention it, but I guess it's because you were going in the antique spoon or wooden spoon direction instead of simple shiny steel spoons (that reflect different imagery based on whether you stare at the inner side or outer side of the spoon.
All great ideas. I am a hands-on person despite my arthritis so for power tools and their analog companions, they can be used in spells about "building". I think of them as your wands and cauldron. If you like building bird houses, fae homes, or things to use in the altar/home blessing the tools for crafting these objects is a good way to incorporate them into magic. I am building a water filter for my plants and I bless the tools I uses because plants are part of my magical practice, magical hygiene, and relationship building with nature. For the lamp, you can use it with your sigil. Draw you sigil on cloth or normal sheet a paper where light can run through and place it above the light so that it can illuminate on to the ceiling or wall; great if you are doing dream work and want to stare at the sigil while you are nodding off to sleep French press can also be used for unblocking, pressing back anything that is in the way of health or your progress. For remotes - general purpose is the control what you are viewing or interacting with using codes - being an engineer I would either place a spell to it to encourage the wilder of the remote to watch better shows if TV. For recycled remote and in an altar space, as a token that you are in control of your boundaries, how people view you, or to change the narrative, etc. Bread twist is wire - from a jewelry creation - twist together to make your own jewelry and charmed. Also mini poppets. Spam mail - recycle them into paper and turn them into petition sheets or use them in money magic by turning them green or used as pseudo checks. rubik's cube - love the idea. It can also represent complicated problems and solving it or each section represents a focus, and the combination of those section face up on the altar are the areas you want to bring into focus.
My thoughts... Lamp: use different lampshade in colour magick based on intentions. Spoons: goddess symbol (fork - god symbol). If it's mismatched antique silverware u can turn it into protective pendants and bracelets or a wind chime. Books: u can dry love herbs in a romance book, money herbs in a financial book, etc.
You can use a spoon for scrying or use it as a base for a doll Also one of my favorites i havent done in a while is painting flower pots ♡ sigils to help your plants grow
I’ve use power tools when I need extra emphasis on things. For instance when I need a door shut, and to stay shut, some representational magic anchored with screws and a screwdriver instead of nails and a hammer. That door isn’t opening anytime soon. Toothpaste for revealing the better nature of someone or something, you mentioned cleansing, both of those. Chip clips are great for binding, hexing when you want someone to feel the pinch/sting of something, even as anchors for concealing something. I would use a French Press in potions but also for adding pressure or urgency to something. Say you have a work project and a coworker is lagging behind, you could use the french press to influence the amount of pressure that person feels to complete the project. Or to induce anxiety if you’re feeling like that’s necessary.
Love putting vinegar in the wash, it removes oils and odors from the washer itself, great for community laundry rooms, and also drops of oil in the dryer, especially specific oils for specific ritual clothing
The screw: Holding things together, but able to unscrew and undo. Also for baneful magick, to represent a literal "screw them". Or, if you have a fun mind and want to get 'lucky', a screw to represent wanting to screw! The lamp: If you need to see something or looking for direction or something that you need to see. Like helping someone to see that they're in an abusive relationship. Or, as an example, someone was murdering ducks around here and I did a spell to protect the ducks, of course, but to let the person be found and brought to justice. The lamp could be used to shine the light on someone/something, to illuminate the problem or the person. Or illuminate the answer you seek, the solution or path.
Janet Farrar once told me she saw alex sanders cast a circle in a pub using beer (water) a cigarette (air) salty pretzels (earth and a cigarette lighter (fire)
Try using a screw like a knot magic spell : by screw of one the spells begun, by screw of two the goal is true… etc - use to ‘screw’ an intention into reality ???
You're really good at this. It's made me realize that I need to have think more like a witch than I have been. Great ideas here. Obviously, it doesn't matter that much, but it's spelled "vacuum" for future reference.
FYI, for all those newcomers practitioners, I think about it our ancestors didn't have any of this lavish stuff that's what I call it is, LoL. But anyway our ancestors didn't have any of this they couldn't go out and buy it they use what they had on hand. And of course all these things the stuff today a lot of them are beautiful and yes we want but do you really really need them??? .... And if you don't have colored candles white candles are the best to work with cuz that's what they had thousands of years ago was white. But anyway you all have a great day. Thank you Olivia, xoxo
I've been stuck with my practice for months now, and I feel like I'm overcoming it slowly. I'm rewatching some of your videos from time ago and let me tell you, this one is actually pretty helpful
Here's few things I do with some of these! Screws I use for protection/warding spells with two small planks of wood, protective sigils on the inside/redirecting on the outside, and have the name/birthday (or really any kind of taglock in the center). I've also used them for binding spells too (swapping the sigils and whatnot)-so it's really about that intention. Lamps, if I don't have the color correspondence, I'll use a safe-lamp to drape that color of light fabric to emit those colors. Books-if they're fiction, I'll use them for the manifestation idea that you mentioned just by involving them in the spell (I
Some ideas! Books: Automatic writing! use it to circle words and get an Oracle at the end. Scissors: Chilean folk magick uses them a lot as charms, protective items and tools. Eg. Setting a pair open under your pillow for nightmares. Spoons: I remember reading about some practitioners using it for scrying. Could also have a particular spoon to do divination with, like for tea leaves divination. Coffee grounds: In my home we use them to absorb smells in spaces such as the fridge as an everyday thing. Could use as a protective/energy absorbent charm. Love this space! Good practice to you all ¡Un abrazo!
For the remote, you could use it as a way to influence the energy around. Each number reflects the intensity of the energy, and the arrow buttons can be used to direct it. If it's a newer remote for like a Roku, you could the play/puse button as a kind of freezer spell and the fast forward and rewind buttons to try to control the speed of the spell ( Sorta like picking the size of a candle to control how long it lasts). Then, hit the middle button as a way to signify the start of the spell.
Plunger - use it to remove major blockages Remote control - use it to apply a charm or curse on someone who isn’t with you - they’re “remote” and you’re applying control. Anoint the buttons and put specific intent into them to match what you’re wanting to achieve
An every day time I’ve used it to use a hair tie to bind up negative energies that come your way through the day and when you release the tie later in the day you also release the negativity with it.
Holy moly, this video's a mother lode of prompts & ideas! HAIR PRODUCTS: Remember that song in "South Pacific"...? VACUUM: After using it, either taking the bag or emptying the cartridge as an actual removal of whatever "dirt" you want removed from your abode. TOOLS: SCREWS: Driving an intent home in a way that it bites in and isn't easily removed, or a more secure way of joining things together. SPOON: It's essentially a very small chalice or vessel, useful for "little bits" or fine-tuning something. TOOTHPASTE: Cleaning, polishing, and brightening all kinds of nooks & crannies normal cleaning misses; easily cleanses what is difficult to cleanse. REMOTE: "pushing buttons" on someone from afar (jinx, hex, curse, or good magick). TWIST TIES: Poppet-making kit, anyone? Also good for making chains. PLUNGER: It's designed to break blockages... but is also designed to forcefully push something in/out of a tight place... sounds like a good curse! RUBIK'S CUBE: If you're good, it can be for creating order out of chaos; if you're like me, it's good for creating chaos out of order.
Ideas for the remote control: 1) It could be used in conjunction with a poppet to control the life using the buttons. The buttons could have their own meaning. 2)By itself, the buttons could be used in certain order to cast spells (kind of like the emojis). Or just simple like turning the volume down to make someone less intrusive or loud Or maybe a certain situation. 3) maybe for momentary transformation or a certain mindset, character, or mood you need at the moment by switching channels (this could also be a glamour)
Vacuum- I use this also by putting an spelled oil blend on the exhaust- so when you are vacuuming up the bad- you are replacing it with what you want. Breadties- Ok whle I was listening to this part I thought of this- remove the paper overlayer on the wires. Use a needle nose pliers to make (shape/mold/entwine) them into sigils that you can use in spellbags/jars/etc.
Hey! Love your channel Olivia! Baking Soda - Cleansing spaces. Acts as a mild abrasive example toilets, tubs sinks. Removes odors, placing powder in dish in fridge or mud room (stinky shoes), powder in garbage can or in litter box, also place on carpet let sit for a while then vaccum. These are practical, but is there other more witchy uses?
Remote controls: Change the strength of a direction in spells. Both negative or positive, as the buttons are there for it. Press "Up" for increase, "Down" for decrease. Increasing opportunities, point the remote at your working and press up on the volume button X number of times. Creating change would also be a possibility as you can use the channel button for that. Just click it while aiming at your working however many times feels proper to your needs. How well that would work.... Your guess is as good as mine. But it's a thought I had.
I love the cat toy idea! Bast is my deity, and I love cats. I have 4, and they are insanely spoiled in Bast's name. I even have a cat accessible altar for her, where I have their food bowl and a cat friendly flameless red candle. I collect their shed whiskers and claws and that them on my main alater for her. I use them in my practice. Whiskers for guidance and balance, protection. Claws for protection and drawing things in. Cat magick is my main practice. I'll even use elements of the personalities of each of my cats, like my Bowie is super sweet and shy, yet Spector is strong and brave and absolutely beautiful. There's endless possibilities with cat magick!
CAT! 🐈⬛🖤 My first thought on spoons is to scry off of it (if it's silver or stainless steel). A remote control could represent... well... control. So maybe not necessarily as a wand, but definitely to have some kind of influence over something or someone. Twist ties would definitely be good for binding. But I think they also come in different colors to represent the days of the week, so... either of those could be useful for something. I could also see the Rubik's Cube being used for confusion.
Screwdriver could be a wand for someone who's also very handy with repairing or DIYS. Toothpaste you could charge it for any magic involving speaking singing or a charge to change energy from food you eat that day.. Books could be for bibliomancy Or use characters as totems to adopt some character traits in your life.. Coffee grounds can be read like tea leaves or just enchant or charge the coffee to drink as a potion. Cat toys-mouse toys can be totems for mouse or rat animal medicine. Stuffed animals-great for connecting with spirit of that animal like totems. Remote can be a focal target for any idea of controlling your entertainment.
Some other thoughts: Lamp: some people use light as a personal ward, so maybe the lamp can be a ward for the room? Turning on the light would activate the ward. You can also draw protective sigils on the inside of the lampshade. Screw: some type of baneful work? Sort of a "screw you" spell? Books: take up bibliomancy! You can use any book that you feel connected to! Remotes: change the channel spell for leaving a path/person/habit behind
Toothpaste is great for cleaning silver! I used it once to clean an old Buddha statue that I wanted to use for joy and it helped me cleanse it in a spiritual AND mundane way. I also took my time rubbing it on the belly of the statue, because it's a traditional thing to do to attract luck
Plungers are used to unclog. Use it as a means to unclog your energy or help something move forward? Maybe you're in a situation that is struggling to be resolved. Use the plunger to "unclog" the situation!
one of my favourite non tools is the rocket blower for clearing dust off camera lenses, i know some people also use them to get the glue to that tacky consistency on false lashes, but a lot of the time i use my rocket blower to cleanse small items like crystals
That was fun! For the Rubik’s cube I immediately thought about using it to help with problem solving or helping with brainstorming somehow. I’m totally gonna steal some of the ideas that came out of this video! Thank you ☺️
To attach paper products to a candle, use waxed paper! Layer the item between the paper and candle, then apply low heat (maybe a hair dryer?). The waxes should blend enough to appear almost seamless, and the paper should still be visible underneath.
REOMOTE IDEA: Make a poppet of yourself and write and intention or sigil, stick it in the poppet, then do whatever energy work you like to do then hold the remote at the poppet and hold the fast forward button! Also chessboards: if any body has an idea I’d love to know cause there is so much potential for correspondences with both the pieces and positions I just need ideas
You could always try to scry with a spoon. Put oil on it and look at it until you see something in the warped curved surface. Or you could ask a yes or no question and do the breath and nose thing with it. If it sticks yes. If it doesn't no
Remotes, symbolizing control Scissors, to cut ties or protection (sharp edges) Cleaning tools, we use cleansing magic when we just clean in general Chip clips, to seal intention Also just intention in anything, my mom and I both do a "happy, healthy, blemish free" incantation when we put on any beauty, skin care products
Hii, some ideas here in general you can charm your tools (paintbrush, hammer,.. ) to help you with your tasks (efficien work, injureless work,...). I enchant my glasses to help me see the truth or the good or guidance
Screwdrivers can be used as wands pretty effectively. Hammers can be a type of wand. as a Blacksmith i use the hammer to infuse the piece i am working on with magic, and guild the project i am working on with great intent to fruition. Certain hammers can also be used almost as tuning forks for resonance magic. You can use different colored light bulbs in a lamp. just like different colored candles. Spoons can have sigils painted or engraved on them, then turned into pendants, or windchimes for protection. also use spoons as cone incense burners. and if you have a strainer spoon, cover the first one to get that extra billowy smoke from the incense. I used a pair of scissors in a closing spell once with great effect. to close out a bad relationship. i intently and slowly closing the scissors saying that i not separate and end all ties to this person. then wrapping the closed scissors with string and binding a knot. then set under my desk. ""this was at work"". to set the charm into effect. I have used a hand crank coffee grinder with herbs and papers of intent to grind up and clear a room of foul intent. The cat toy stick with feathers can be used as a wand. My grandmother once used a plunger in a clogged sink to cure my brother of his head cold. also, once in the same sink to help the neighbor lady unclog her uterus and help her to conceive. not sure, never asked if it was the sink drain, or the plunger doing the work though:) The Rubik cube or any other puzzle for that matter can be used with intent to imagine the path to an end goal, with very fast acting results. This was awesome. thank you so much for this thought-provoking video into the magical workings of mundane items.
Spoon could be used in prosperity to gather an abundance of it to you maybe. Tea spoons could be used in a sort of glamour to come off more proper or polite. Equally could be added to a communication spell to help combine ideas and reach conclusions that benefit all parties, or help a team work together
Chip clips are used to hold things closed/sealed, so I'd use it in a "shut your mouth" spell
Fantastic idea!
In conjunction with a bag/poppet of beans, "don't spill the beans!" for a gentler one for a friend who tends to overshare.
NICE!!!💜🖤💫
Oooohh😮😮😮😮
@@jessshnarcky1089 yessss😮😮😮
I'm sorry about the audio - this month has been such a shit show trying to get the audio to play nice for some reason, my old mics and this new one just do not want to cooperate.
Also - a huge thank you to my Patrons for helping naming this video!
Your "bad" audio still puts 75% of UA-cam to shame. We'll all survive while you're getting it sorted out.
Personally, the quality of your information more than makes up for any dip in your usual standard to quality of production. I wasn’t bothered by this in the slightest👌
If I can understand what you say, it's great audio. Any chance you need to woowoo a gremlin out of your set up?
I was wondering if I could add a request here. I wish you, and other witchy content creators, didn't use background music as much. It's impossiple for some of us neurodivergent people to watch videos with music as it'll cause almost an instant sensory overload. Thank you for taking this into account. Love your content, the ones I'm able to watch.
Here are some ideas:
Lamp: Maybe put a petition under the lamp for more recognition in your job or to “shed light” on a particular issue
Chip clip: Use on a poppet when you’re “in a pinch” and release the chip clip to remove obstacles. Maybe it can be used as a binding by clipping a taglock
Spoon: Since metal spoon flips the image you can use it like a mirror for a reversal spell. You could anoint the edges with oil and speak an incantation to reverse a situation
Toothpaste: Charm your mouth after a heated discussion to cool it down and come back with a fresh perspective
Books: Pick a passage or picture from the book that aligns with your intention and place a taglock in the book until your spell is done
Scissors: In a lot of folk practices they’re used as a protection charm (because of the properties of iron) when placed by the bed or in a bible
Coffee Grounds: Try using coffee grounds in a “bittering” spell. Like the opposite of a sweetening spell. Or to banish “bitterness” from your life when you throw it out
Remote: I think as a domination charm
Bread twist ties: Maybe knot spells
Rubik’s Cube: An unsolved one could be used as a protection charm to confuse enemies
This was such a cool challenge.
That's a cool idea.
If you want to use oils in your laundry I recommend the wool dryer balls. You can add a few drops of oil and toss them in the dryer, you can also add sigil’s drawn on or embroidered with colored embroidery threads. Loving all your ideas it’s a fun topic to play around with.
Great suggestion!!
My mother and I do this with the wool dryer balls and oils. Hadn't thought of adding embroidery to them. Thanks for the idea
I was just gifted some of these, and never knew they existed. Wonderful idea, thank you!
I've literally been going how can I add smelly stuff to the dryer. I can't believe I didn't think of this haha
I have wool balls and add peppermint oil every time ❤
I would think that you could definitely embroider sigils into your bed sheets and clothing for different purposes.
Love all the book ideas! I would add specific books for spells of places you want to travel maybe?
I gift spoons to people who are struggling so they are never truely out of spoons. Meant as a pick me up
I love all the creativity in the comments!
It's worked out perfectly
also using a seductive dance as an offering might be cool.
LOVE the remote idea!!
Your English is ok
Or just flush it
I think wooden spoons have been discussed on other channels to enchant with sigils for tasty, health, energy giving food etc. Such as carving or wood burning. Although I think you could just draw it on the furthest part of the handle
I love the spoon theory connection! Literal extra spoons! *runs to thrift store*
Write on your TP & flush it away 🤷
Nails can be used in curses esp of they're rusty, I've used them before, as well as u substitute for pins for nails for puppets.
I mean taking the time to make a nice cup of coffee makes it a good offering. Also fun green fact used coffee grounds are great for the environment
I like using coffee grounds in productivity or energy spells. Peppers to light a fire under yourself or someone else.
I use screws in a baneful magick (to screw with people), return to sender as well. They are my favorite to use.
Most of my magic is based on associations, thus:
Books = representation of knowledge or of (insert genre), e.g. romance book for love spells, mystery for illusion spells or inducing confusion for a hex or ward)
Remote = representation of control, e.g. taking control of a situation or breaking someone else's control over you
Stuffed animals: if you or someone else sleeps with them, charge them with intentions for a good night's sleep.
I’m so glad you made another content vid instead of a collab!
I want to turn the idea of this video into a game to play with my partner… she gets to learn and I get to exercise some creativity!
I love this! Ok here's the ideas I've got:
Power tools give me Uranian vibes, so I'd invoke the energy of Uranus & use them with the intention of bringing about sudden change to propel a situation forward, with a project & power tool that symbolizes the intention.
I drew sigils on the lampshade (lightly in water) so every time they are turned on it's put out there 👍🏻
@@ladywytch129 That makes sense. I’m a 50 year old baby witch lol. I was just spitballing but I love that idea, thank you. All advice will help.
❤️
Remotes are often used to change a channel, so you could use it in a spell/ritual to inspire change in a situation or your life in general.
Draw you sigil on cloth or normal sheet a paper where light can run through and place it above the light so that it can illuminate on to the ceiling or wall; great if you are doing dream work and want to stare at the sigil while you are nodding off to sleep
French press can also be used for unblocking, pressing back anything that is in the way of health or your progress.
👍👍👍👍👍
My thoughts...
Lamp: use different lampshade in colour magick based on intentions.
Spoons: goddess symbol (fork - god symbol). If it's mismatched antique silverware u can turn it into protective pendants and bracelets or a wind chime.
Books: u can dry love herbs in a romance book, money herbs in a financial book, etc.
I LOVED this crerative brainstorming video
So cool I'd like to see a part 2 of these oh my goddess I'm interested
You can use a spoon for scrying or use it as a base for a doll
Also one of my favorites i havent done in a while is painting flower pots ♡ sigils to help your plants grow
I knew it looked off 😂
FYI, for all those newcomers practitioners, I think about it our ancestors didn't have any of this lavish stuff that's what I call it is, LoL.
Cute kitty cat 😊😊😊❤❤❤
OMG! That lamp idea was amazing. I love that I've been practicing for so long, but still can learn so much from the younger generation. ❤
Make a kitchen charm by attaching five wooden spoons in a pentagram, and attach dried herbs, etc.
This video is awesome! And loving the ideas in the comments too! Nice job!!
Plunger - use it to remove major blockages
Remote control - use it to apply a charm or curse on someone who isn’t with you - they’re “remote” and you’re applying control. Anoint the buttons and put specific intent into them to match what you’re wanting to achieve
What a great video. It was a fun reminder that magic is everywhere you just have to open your mind and be a little creative.
I love screws for "screw you" type jinxes and can use power tools with intention to kinda get a quicker/stronger result
Ideas for the remote control:
1) It could be used in conjunction with a poppet to control the life using the buttons.
The remote threw me would love to know. Thank you for sharing 😊 have a wonderful upcoming week
CAT! 🐈⬛🖤
My first thought on spoons is to scry off of it (if it's silver or stainless steel).
Books could be for bibliomancy
Or use characters as totems to adopt some character traits in your life..
Some other thoughts:
Lamp: some people use light as a personal ward, so maybe the lamp can be a ward for the room?
That's a great use for a plumber's friend
Thanks for another wonderful video, and some new uses for mundane things😊
A remote for changing a situation. Toothpaste glamor magic, confidence in the words you are saying and people really hear what you say.
I think you could use a desk lamp for a focus spell? Like, maybe a focus spell for either mundane studying or spiritual research. That would be cool.
one of my favourite non tools is the rocket blower for clearing dust off camera lenses, i know some people also use them to get the glue to that tacky consistency on false lashes, but a lot of the time i use my rocket blower to cleanse small items like crystals
Very creative video I like i enjoyed every single moment of it please keep going your doing such an incredible job
If it doesn't no
Spoons stirring in your intention like in your tea or coffee
I would use the remote for transformation spells, quick changes❤
Remotes, symbolizing control
Scissors, to cut ties or protection (sharp edges)
Cleaning tools, we use cleansing magic when we just clean in general
Chip clips, to seal intention
Also just intention in anything, my mom and I both do a "happy, healthy, blemish free" incantation when we put on any beauty, skin care products
Hii, some ideas here
in general you can charm your tools (paintbrush, hammer,.. ) to help you with your tasks (efficien work, injureless work,...).
There were way more tips and tricks for curses in this video than I was expecting, pleasant surprise.
