I've always said (often to myself) that this for me is the perfect sonic interpretation of flight. Everything about it just seems to create not only a sense of motion and climbing momentum, but being 'above' everything, like you're leaving the system, to the point it's almost ethereal in how it makes you feel you're transcending earthly qualities. It's like a spiritual metamorphosis through flight.
This dam song. It really snatches you up in some semi ominous yet deeply present and nostalgic space. Love everything Loscil does but recently stumbled upon this small Ep he did all these years back and this song immediately hit me as one of his top 5 best. Listened to it probably for 2 hours straight first time I heard it.
Sounds more like The Sight Below than Gas. But both are good guesses. I don't care who "borrowed" from whom. I love one-note music, with side orders, of course, and they all sound great. Gas is a bit more complex I think. Love that deep "wall" of percussion-based undercurrent.
Sounds less like Loscil and more like The Sight Below or even Gas (Wolfgang Voigt). Regardless, it IS classic Loscil: performed and produced with excellence.

turned my dear friend ,a chemist, onto Loscil knowing he too will appreciate these soundscapes thank you!
Ambient/Drone with that gentle pulse in the back is my favorite. If only The Sight Below still made music :(
Fantastic. Has this odd mechanical / chemistry vibe, as most of Loscil's tracks. And the image as well, perfectly suited.
For a while, I thought I listened to all of Loscil's work until I stumbled upon this gem.
Loscil's album cover art are just amazingly good.
It's like a preview for what you will listen.
this is the perfect heist scene music
I love how you think! Good call
nice tune floating above the clouds
Ohhh, yeah.. here goes the album's best track, magnificent, love it!
What are you up to, 8 years later?

Bvdub is an excellent American producer....
Love Loscil. This one reminds me a lot of Gas, but it could just be that muffled 4/4
