I have to agree with the last part. Animals aka new family members do have a way of slowing you down. Bringing you back from a bad day or long day and just making you feel like everything is going to be ok.
I have 3 cats and because of them I wake up every morning without complaint because I know they need me as much as I need them. They are my reason to get up and keep going.

I like this story. Just a good couple with good dogs living their good lives. You should do more couples featuring disability. Demystify the blind/service dog stigmas.
The Dodo did a story a blind Paralympic swimmer and her seeing-eye dog. She went on to not she only won a gold medal, she also set a new world record!
Absolutely! I've never had a disability, but 2 of my friends did growing up. I learned so much from both of them! One was deaf ( she went on to the Olympics in swimming), and the other had Spina bifida, but she learned how to swim! I'm so grateful for knowing both of them!
