During the day you'll still be able to see out the back but not as easy as a clear window.. and at night with the lights on it will be a little difficult I'm not gonna lie.. but I've adjusted to it easily to utilize my side mirrors as well and the rear view.. long story short, it's nothing unbearable
There is a proportion that needs to be followed in SOME countries, of how much you can't and can see. This is made for those company stickers that have holes on them and are black from the inside. Those stickers cover A LOT more than this thing. In my country (Brazil) the proportion is 1:1, so you have to be able to see at least 50% of what's outside. And the inside has to be black. This thing probably cover less than 40% of the view.
I got this from Amazon and I can tell it's getting power because the little remote box is lit up but I can't see any lights working on the device at all. I will go ahead and wait till night time to make sure but I've already started my return and refund for this with Amazon

Search for regulations on rear window graphics. There is a law for it. Usually you have to be able to see 50% or more (from the inside) And the inside might have to be black, but I think you could paint or tape the product in black if that's the case, might even look better.

Can't really reliably turn it off and might cause issue with police due to blocking your vision from your rear windscreen.

Yes, I have talked to multiple officers. They say that there is no way to mistake these lights for a cops lights so it's legal

I can tell you that it is definitely accurate.. it only goes up and down based on volume which is fully adjustable to the correct sensitivity

Its not a spectrum analyzer, just sound sensitive and somewhat random. These exact one's are sold for $3-4 here in Thailand.
