What a wonderful Thanksgiving day present. I spent my Thanksgiving with family who came from out of state, and I realized I was more thankful for my family and the every day blessings I had then I probably had been for years. So glad Gage is going home. See you guys on the flipside.

What a SPECIAL Thanksgiving your family will have! Kinda enforces the meaning of the Holiday, doesn't it? This will be a Thanksgiving those kids will tell THEIR kids about! Don't try to overdo it, Mom. We had KFC for our dinner last year after a chaotic couple of weeks and it was WONDERFUL! And one of my favorite childhood memories was when the oven broke the morning of and we had microwave pizza with all the Turkey Dinner trimmings! I’m glad Gage is getting out. Sadly my ulcerative colitis is flaring up. I’m scheduled for a colonoscopy next week as long as I don’t continue to get physically worse than I am currently. The winter months seem to bring out more flare ups then the warmer months.

I’m also a skinny person, and I lost 20lbs in a month back in 2020 from stress-induced gastritis. Between fire season (I’m in Northern California), the pandemic, and a close family member taking his own life, I was a stress case! My stress levels were too high and sending signals to my gut to produce more acid. Everything hurt my stomach to eat. Everything made me nauseous, and I had diarrhea everyday. Doc ordered an endoscopy. They diagnosed me with acute gastritis, but it lasted for 2 years, so I’m pretty sure it was chronic.
Doc prescribed Prilosec for 2 months. Didn’t work. Doc recommended therapy for my stress & grieving. My therapist recommended MARSHMALLOW ROOT TEA for my stomach issues. O.M.G. It’s like a magical miracle herb!!! The marshmallow root tea worked better than Prilosec!!!! 💯🙌
The brand is Celebration Herbals. White box. It’s on Amazon. I’ll post a link in a comment to this comment if I can. It’s really good with cinnamon & honey. Splash of creamer, if it doesn’t hurt his tummy.
