Congrats for this video! Great list, I saved King on the bridge for the future. If you like chess games, I highly suggest you Shotgun King, a chess roguelike with a great twist. I have different videos on my channel if you're curious. I'm looking forward to "I am your beast" too! Seems quite fun. For animal well I want to wait a bit for the price to be lower, while Hades 2... I can't wait 1.0 to play it 😊 Great work, you got a subscriber! 💪 An hug from another (small indie) youtuber 😉
Heeey I know that guy! Lol Great list man, as expected. Can always count on Kyoto for some super cool indie games that I've never heard of! I'm excited to play Pepper Grinder, Balatro, and Animal Well. I picked those up on PS5 recently so I'll get to them early next year. And can't wait for Hades 2 when it's out of early access! I totally didn't see your number 1 coming!! Maybe I need to give that one a try...
@@KyotoCrank Probably from what i played in 2024 prince of persia: lost crown, half-life alyx (and mods), baldur's gate 1 with sword coast stratagem mod, raytraced doom 2 remake, SpaceChem or Chants of Sennaar. I guess none of these were indies and from this year. Tunic, Armoured core 6, Alan Wake 2 and Arkham Shadow are being played but I don't think i will manage to finish them all, but all four look very promising. From AAA either Astrobot or Elden Ring expansion, but frankly the first one is not deep enough playing on graphics, haptics and nostalgia without deeply developed game mechanics and the second one feels very unfinished (great until like 30% and entire areas feel empty and rushed). About the indies of 2024, I am not as sold as the community: while i enjoyed animal well (collected all eggs but didn't do the rest of the secrets), i didn't find it that amazing after the fantastic first 5-6 hours (hollow knight was the opposite and it just kept getting better until i platinumed it). Balatro didn't really do it for me, unlocked all decks and made it to like 3-4 level with each deck but just didn't enjoy it and i could tell basically after the second blind latest if i will get far in a run or not. Helldivers was great for 10 hours but is very repetitive and the enjoyment depends if you find good team mates. Lorelei, UFO 50, Metaphor, Unicorn Overlord, and some of your recommendations (king of the bridge, extra coin) are still on the list for next year.

Completely forgot about the Chess game, thanks for putting it on the radar again! Great list! Need to try the fourth spot too, looks fun!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed and the list helped! Let me know when you get to those games and what you think of them!

wow, an actual video with new information and not rehashed opinions.
Haha thank you! Did any seem interesting to you? What's one of your favorite games you played this year?
