you just described the reason why being here now means so much. The present is not determined by the past, but actually, it's the other way around. The present moment is the source of the past. In this sense, this song has just been created as if it existed long ago. That's not something to be believed but experienced. But that process is the source of what people call "miracles". Somehow people find a way to suspend their belief in the concreteness of the past. Then in a glimpse, they can see through the illusion of time and a fresh new present is born, and with it a new past, where the issue has never existed.
Thank you Ram Dass for always blessing us with love and goodness and reminding us that there is a world of truth and oneness beyond this world of separation 🤍✨🌙🔱
The first time I heard this song was only a couple years ago myself. I was surprised I had not heard it before. I always think of my mother when I hear this because that day that I first heard it I was driving in my car and my mom had passed a couple of years previous. I was kind of talking to her and feeling really down and missing her. And listening to Spotify comes on. It absolutely felt like her giving me a gentle and loving admonishment. I love the guitar in this and the tempo feels just like a mother’s lullaby. ❤🥹🦋🙏🏼
George's song that resonates with my heart and mind, It makes a grown adult cry. I'm sending love to Dhani, Olivia and to everyone listening to this song here right now.
My brother brought home his 1970 All Things Must Pass album in 1975 and I wasn't the same since. I became George Harrison. He was the most daring of all the so-called "cool" rock stars.
Just like Paul's death in 1966 becomes more relevant. Every day, new people are discovering the truth. In 2026, it will be sixty years since we lost Paul. William or Ringo should mark it.
@@GEMSofGOD_com however, sorry to sound churlish, but George Harrison died in 2001 and over 20 years later everyone has waited for some reissues. There was an album of rarities 20 years ago. Sadly I should imagine half the fan base who was actually around when he was alive is now dead. I quite understand that there is the concept of ‘flogging a dead (dark) horse’ and no one wants that, but a lot of fans have been waiting a while. Wonderful to hear. @@cactaceous It's not really Ram Dass' message either, as staying in the present moment has been a staple of Eastern philosophy for thousands of years. Harrison just happened to craft a beautiful song around it.

George Harrison was a spiritual artist. He sought after greater purposes of life and gave music to his inner feelings and revelations in a rock era which was itself a challenging task to do.The depth of his songwriting and performances is unparalleled, many of his songs have a real zenful effect. And then of course his amazing slide.

Siempre extraño a George cómo si lo hubiera conocido, siento su presencia en mi vida y me produce mucha alegría. Esta canción me acompañó este año que ha sido muy duro ❤
"Be Here Now" stands out as a reflective and meaningful piece in George Harrison's catalog. Its exploration of presence and mindfulness is both relevant and timeless, though its lyrical ambiguity and production choices may not resonate with all audiences. The song remains a testament to Harrison's artistic evolution and spiritual exploration.
Absolutely stunning. Listen on a pair of good headphones. The clarity is stunning. George's vocal is wonderful. His voice is clear and strong. His harmonies- majestic. The few moments where he drops his t's- never noticed that before. The instrumental atmosphere is shimmering. Such a good remix without the original muddiness. I can now hear strange little percussions deep down in the mix that I've never previously heard. A deep note, and something that sounds like fast fingers on some kind of drum. It's all sublime.
So true Michael. This remix has put this song close to one of my favourite Hari Georgeson's songs. He builds the harmonies and power of the vocals throughout the four minutes. A masterpiece that many of us never recognised.
