Well said. I’m 31 and taking huge action because I have to. In my 20s with an alcoholic mother and a drug addict father I thought someone was gonna come and rescue me. They never came. I’ve had to claw from rock bottom but I’ll never give up.

@@Isnotreal42 good, I've got a sales job interview in the next week, and I'll be moving out into my own place in less than 3 months. I'm also deciding to drop college as well since my courses have no foreseeable benefits to my career and the direction I'm heading in so I'm gonna spend more time on the things I enjoy: selling, writing and learning new skills and obtaining more knowledge.

On the other hand if you put the work in, and focus on you, it's going to pay off. Because there is definitely no one out there searching for you so they can give you a better life hah.

Many families do not become this way, they are very supportive and can be pivotal in a person’s life. The important thing is not to EXPECT people to support you. We need to support ourselves.

I figured it out in my late 20s.. by 35 I progressed so much after NEVER again hoping on help or somebody saving me.
God helps those who help themselves. He never said it would be easy, only that it will be worth it!! As long as you're still alive you have a fighting chance. You owe it to yourself to live life!! Anything you work at you'll get better at. To everyone who reads this, you are worthy. You are necessary. You are loved. You are beautiful. You are appreciated. God loves you and so do I and there's nothing you can do about it!

Why do you think it is that some people ask the right questions and others are stuck in the victim mentality? I also experience people asking for advice and share their frustrations but when it comes to actual step by step help they don't listen anymore and believe they already tried everything that is possible. Does this victim mentality offer comfort?

Was an atheist my whole - still technically am. After 2020 government over reach, I went back to church for the first time in my adult life. Church is good. Christian world view is good. I don’t know if “God” can save you, but a Christian world view can.
I respect the fact how you took charge of your nihilism, I also struggled with this too when I was an atheist but I have since found god. I wish you well brother.
I personally believe in God and I go to church. Don’t take this the wrong way I am in no way forcing my beliefs on you, I would just like to share a perspective on God if you care to listen. I agree church is good, and the way I see it, the Lord in my opinion, is always there for us and saves us, but in a methaphorical sense, as he doesn’t outright give us what we want. A lot of folks like to think of this as him not caring to save us, but I see that as the opposite, God doesn’t intervene on purpose, he’s making us stronger every day he doesn’t, he tests us and has us figure it out in our own, he can guide us but he doesn’t give us what we want and that’s what makes us strong, God makes humanity resilient, in my opinion.
Not sure if this is the solution. Some people go to thr extreme and become gospel preachers. It's better if you try and not cling to things.
