    Bro your video was amazing! High quality, clear and concise and entertaining. Extra points for the classic military in the background (same as me)

      Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. The green is the wife’s motorcycle, I almost went blue or sand but am glad I went with chrome (though she gets way more compliments… I’m sure it’s the bike)

    I have 2009 bullet I’m just wondering if that the same filter that you use in the video?

    • @SUNSINSTUDIOS
      @SUNSINSTUDIOS  3 роки тому

      I believe so. Mine is a 2012 and I think classics started production in 2009 (so should be similar)

    Step 1 - ride bike for 10 km's. A 2 minute 'warm up' is nowhere enough. Bolts for mesh screen are 8mm - same for oil filter cover.
    Removal of oil filter - there are two O rings to be accounted for and replaced.
    While draining oil, rock machine front to back, and tilt from side to side (slowly) to get as much oil out as possible.
    After replacing the drain plugs and adding the oil, while the engine is running, get back under the thing and check for leaks on your various drain points.
    Wear rubber gloves when changing oil - saves burns, and that stuff is not so good for your skin.
    If you have a sump guard on your RE Bullet, remove that before you go for your warm up ride - saves you getting burned removing it (ask me how I know)!
    My comments come after 2 years and 29,000 km's on a RE Classic 500

    I know someone with one of these, and oil is leaking out of the sightglass. is that a common fault, and what usually remedies it? a new seal?

    Great video, just a small questions. Are the copper washers needs replacement? Or is just a clean up to them enough?

    • @SUNSINSTUDIOS
      @SUNSINSTUDIOS  3 роки тому

      If you mean the magnetic bolt or other metal washers, just clean and check it (replace if damaged). If you are referring to the rubber seals, then yes I recommend replacing.

    Hi does a brand new classic 500 come with all the tools necessary to do this oil change yourself?

    • @SUNSINSTUDIOS
      @SUNSINSTUDIOS  3 роки тому

      Hmmm good question, I believe so. Mine doesn’t have the full kit (lost in the garage) but looking at google it seems you should have all the wrenches needed.

    How much quantity is needed? Is liquy moly full synthetic good ?

    • @SUNSINSTUDIOS
      @SUNSINSTUDIOS  5 років тому +1

      For the classic 500 made sure to have 2.5L but as you can see the best way to know how much to add is by the engine oil window. Yes I used full synthetic. Dug Dug

      @@SUNSINSTUDIOS thanks man.. appreciate your help.. how much in general you need in your 500 classic. 3 lit or 2.5 ?

    • @SUNSINSTUDIOS
      @SUNSINSTUDIOS  5 років тому

      I think 2.5L, but if you have 3L you can add when it gets low (from leaks lol)

    Hey mate u did a big mistake u didn't removed the 3rd bold where the crank oil is stored 😕😕😕😕... half litre is still there in engine which is old oil get it checked brother...

    • @dhananjay555
      @dhananjay555 4 роки тому

      Not necessary.it harms crank. There should be 400-500 ml oil always in the crank case chamber.

    Don't follow the instructions on this video. There are 2 drain plugs plus the sump filter. Also the oring for the filter was not removed!!
