Free Handling a Black Widow (Latrodectus) | Overcoming My Fear of Spiders by Going All In!

After watching a video on UA-cam busting myths on spiders and how to handle them the night before, and always looking to overcome any fears I might have, when I saw a large Black Widow spider while I was mowing the lawn, I knew it was now or never. It was my chance to overcome one of my greatest fears--spiders.

The one thing I really love is that it looks like the black widow spider is trusting you
You really have to forcefully corner it with your hand or press down on it for it to bite. They are VERY reluctant to bite
Spiders do NOT want to bite you. Handle them gently and they (no mater what species) will not bite... They only want to bite what they can eat: IE things that are smaller than they are.... But congrats on handling a Black Widow without harming her!!

You don't have to handle a WIDOW, in order to overcome that fear! A sweet, fuzzy tarantula can do the job just as well! That is what helped ME.
