I think that's because it was probably the majority's first B-M song. I know it was mine back in 2015 when I was watching Babymetal videos and Thrill popped up in the recommended.
This song will live forever. Just like other great Rock songs of the past. How can you not lose your you know what while listening to it. My dream is to see them live in a stadium with 10,000 screaming fans and playing Thrill as the last song and every one just going crazy.
Remember when there were people who didn't believe they played their instruments?!? The official MV Thrill (not written by them) was their breakout. 2 million views in 2 weeks basically saved the band. The surprise to them was nearly half of the views were from Europe and the US. Their first performance outside of Japan was in Seattle at an Asian festival to their largest audience to date, 3000. From there they began to tour Europe annually building a fan base. In 2019 they toured the US NYC, Dallas and LA, all sold-out. Another surprise for them was that the European and US audiences knew their songs and sang with them in Japanese. They have more foreign fans than Japanese fans. Last thing, Miku not only learned to play the guitar "on the Job" but to sing at the same time, not easy.
I started out on this song also, 5 years ago just as a fluke begging pleading the music gods would bless me with something new not old and moldy to listen too, the music gods smiled upon me and blessed me with BAND MAID and I have returned to rocking after being in music hell for a couple of decades.

I agree this version sounds even better than the MV. I think this is for two reasons. First, they have pushed themselves to grow as musicians since the original MV, and now they are world-class musicians. They were great before. They are even greater now. Second, when they play live, their energy is amazing. It's most amazing when they play in front of fans. But I would always prefer to see them play live (with a good mix in the live video) than watch their actions be "directed" for an MV.
@@kc62301 Absolutely right. And the third reason might be that for all instruments, other/better manufacturers are used today than back then. This also makes a lot of difference in terms of sound, in my opinion.

Thrill started me off also back in late February 2020. I get the same 'thrill' every time I hear them no matter how many times I've listened. They got the Power over me and I'm lovin' it.
Band Maid - a gift from the gods. So good. None of them are playing their first instruments. Arkane is a classically trained trombonist! then switched to guitar then drums. Misa and Kanami are classically trained pianists. Misa also played guitar before bass and Kanami only started guitar when she was 14. They are all very. very special.
Dice was your first one. You then looked them up and found Thrill. Blooming. Play. ONSET. DUDE!!!! I just got the BRAND NEW MAID album. It has alone and FREEDOM on it. EVERYTHING else KICKS ASS TOO!!! LOOK AT ME followed by ORDER. AWESOME!!!! Did you see Akane ROLL HER EYES during MISA's solo? IT is just funny as hell.
This seems more like a rehearsal. I absolutely love this band but without the fans they aren't getting the energy they feed on. It's so sad to see this amazing and beautiful band missing the crowd. You can tell how much happier they are when they get the roar of the fans. Also, many people have trouble classifying them in a genre. They're harder than hard rock but not quite metal. So I've thought of a class of their own. Diamond Rock because they're beautiful, unique and they shine under the lights of the stage.

Band Maid just released a new video on there UA-cam channel! It's a live performance of "No God", which is personally one of my favorite songs. It's from the recent album and it has a bass solo, definitely worth checking out.

Yes The Maids are the band that virtually everyone who sees these clips wants to see live.. Kanami plays so easily in that solo. Easily the most underrated and underappreciated member of the band and probably the most important. Without her there just wouldn't be their great songs. Whilst this is my favourite Band Maid song I was disappointed 😞 with this version, for a long time I’ve been waiting for a live version, hoping it would be updating reflect how the band has grown over the years, I was hoping for a WILD bass solo, and a TEAR-ASS guitar solo as we know they are capable of, BUT we got the original album version (whilst this is still my favourite song) I was hoping for it to be ,,,,, more 🤷🏻♂️

Apples and oranges. Yes, this is an older, and old school, song and is like kindergarten to them too. Think more along the lines of Back in Black or Christine 16. There is truth in the saying Keep It Simple Stupid. No the singer cannot sing like Floor, but then how many non-opera people can, and there are several B-M songs that Floor wouldn't be able to keep up with. To each their own, if everyone liked the same things it would get boring quickly. peace
