Recently picked up a XB9SX that’s not running right. Checked the fuel pressure last night. 17psi. Ordered rebuild kit today. I’ll be doing this job when the kit arrives. Thanks for the video!!!
Amazing work. I rode a brand new 2008 xb12ss off the Harley lot and still ride it to this day .nothing can compare. Thank you for this video There’s not many break down videos like this for this amazing and unique motorcycle. Keep them coming much appreciated.
I have been watching your videos now for few days on/off and gotta admit, I really like these. You also show the frustrating parts of job which is nice, like at 5:47 with the plastic cover :) That bike looks so good
@@DoctorMotorcycle I’m definitely going to keep on him about it. The bike I’m sitting on in my profile is my custom Buell. Now I want one that is stock!
Excellent job on the pump. Those 2003-early2004 pumps have an undeserved bad rep. They're tedious to rebuild but are an excellent piece and easily serviceable. And if you ever do another XB fuel pump, don't waste your time removing the swingarm pivot for more access. Just unbolt the lower shock mount as you did and enough wiggle room...barely...to R&R the pump.
I’ll be lookin for ya on my 1125r around Phoenix , I’m gonna have to do my fuel pump soon and a bunch of other stuff , but I like your build you got here
Dude this always never fails to hits me hard. I can't ever understand how so small of likes views , subs ect on this motorcycle exotic builder . I can't wrap around it when my son watch the dummest videos and those content creators have a big staff and income. I get it they figured out how's boost there channel. But there millions upon millions around the world of us that can watch this for hours on end so enthusiastically on whats next. Keep it going bro👍
These bikes are so special. Just hearing it start up made me miss mine so bad. I may have to buy one of Erik Buell's new 1190 bikes that are coming out soon. Enjoy this one and make the good memories🍻
I know right? I actually owned an '03 XB9S myself, but at the time I needed the money to help fund builds for the channel. Still want to find me an XB12 :)
Man I was super confused at the start with the whole rear pulley and what looked like the swingarm coming off, and the I remembered Buell stored the gas in the frame with and the "tank" was just an airbox. I've been wanting one for a long time but that looked like a serious pain lol
Great job .I made up 7 new swear words whilst working on my xb9s Great bikes but compact design can lead to sore fingers and arrrrrrgh Keep up the great work
I like this bike.. its sound amazing. But we dont have this type good bikes in our country. Most we have indian craps. But i have japanise honda s. I enjoy your video.
Where can I get a taster like the one you show on your video? I recently got a buell firebolt xb9r and got trubles with it… maybe this taster can help me to findout whats wrong with it
How difficult is it to find parts for these bikes? IIRC, they have Harley engines so the power train should be a no brainer, but what about other stuff?
38k, but the previous Buell I restored on this channel had 10K miles and was in even worse condition. If anything sets for 6+ months with a low-amount of E10 gas in it, fuel pump will likely be shot
Hi, good work and thanks, can I ask what made you think it was the fuel pump, or did I miss something? Also, its hard to get a Buelltooth here in the UK. cheers Pauly

This man is not a doctor of motorcycles, he’s a surgeon. Super impressive work 👍🏼

Very nice. Good work there. Got to keep our old Buells right. Just fixed my key switch. Keep safe and keep the rubber down
I’ll be lookin for ya on my 1125r around Phoenix , I’m gonna have to do my fuel pump soon and a bunch of other stuff , but I like your build you got here
So pumped for the new bike. Upcoming series

Nid à emmerdes ! Mais super bécane
Y en a plus des comme ça.
Beau travail! On te suit.
It’s that must have motorbike!
You rule dude!
Good video 👍
Cmon man, throw put the hex keys and buy a set of t handles! 😂 the Park Tools t handle set is awesome
Just started looking at Buell’s….
Perfect timing! What’s the software you’re using there to run tests? Pretty cool.
Buelltooth
The software is ECM Droid.
amazing job man, now turbocharger 👌
Nice. I have XB9 but i turned into chopper 😀
Love how the vtwin motor sounds buell v rod or the rc51. But never the tlr
What's the reliability like on the older buells now that they have been around a while
I like this bike.. its sound amazing. But we dont have this type good bikes in our country. Most we have indian craps. But i have japanise honda s. I enjoy your video.
Hi bro! What kind of sealant did you use on the fuel pump connections?
Where can I get a taster like the one you show on your video? I recently got a buell firebolt xb9r and got trubles with it… maybe this taster can help me to findout whats wrong with it
Any future plans with that buell Dr.Motorcycle?
No, it was my Uncles, he no longer owns it now. Shame, it was/is a fun bike.
what was the device you used to read the codes?
Great video Hate Harley's but love Buell's (does that make sense)
You pooted! 😂 3:17
Damn; you have to go through that much just to get to the pump.
I guess that's the price of performance eh? lol I'm glad I have a carb sporty.
Kisses from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
What's the white grease you use on the O rings, Cheers
It's just white lithium grease. It prevents the o-ring from snagging during re-assembly.
Didn’t you have one of these on ur channel awhile ago?
Yessir
I miss my Buell...🥲I had a 2006 XB9SX. They're super hard to find nowadays. Thanks for featuring one. Have an awesome day!
How difficult is it to find parts for these bikes? IIRC, they have Harley engines so the power train should be a no brainer, but what about other stuff?
How many miles on that fp
38k, but the previous Buell I restored on this channel had 10K miles and was in even worse condition. If anything sets for 6+ months with a low-amount of E10 gas in it, fuel pump will likely be shot
What pipe?
True it's a ford mustang pump? Considering a 2009 xb9 with 17k miles on it.. Should I stay away?
Idola ku
🤘😎
Big ole tensioner wheel lol
Cost for this repair, if you don't mind sharing please?
6:02 LOL
Buell, i bout one
Did u get it for free
No this is My Uncles
Hi, good work and thanks, can I ask what made you think it was the fuel pump, or did I miss something?
Also, its hard to get a Buelltooth here in the UK.
cheers
Pauly
Call me a sadist, I use cinch rings on all my rubber tubing.
Sounds like fuel issues.
Mitsubishi galant fuel pump
Is it? I had XB9. Good to know this.
Doesn't start .. hmm .. needs a wash
HD logo on airbox? Why? HD takeover Buell just to kill this brand!
Why bother
