    Do cards like Gaia's Kin stack at the end of the game? Gaias kin is worth 2 VP if you have 1-2 blank cards etc. If I have 3 gaias kin, then do I get the 2 vp for each copy of the card

      It has been a while but I believe you would if you had three separate cards with just that card in them than you should get the points for each. Thanks for watching and for the question.

    Do the cards feel thicker once you start adding to them? If so that COULD lead to stacking

    • @LearntoPlayGames
      @LearntoPlayGames  8 років тому +1

      They are thicker, especially when you have the full three enhancement cards in them but if you shuffle them up fairly than it is not a problem. you are correct though if you want to cheat as you are shuffling you could tell what cards are full and in a way stack your play. I have played a number of games so far and have not seen that become a problem.

      ok not saying it WOULD happen in a friendly group game but If there was a competitive event for it it could sadly happen

      yes it could happen, It is a good point and definitely one that I would hope judges would catch if it came up. Thanks for the question and comments.

    This doesn’t make since to me! What do vale cards do?! How do I get them?! Why do I discard my field?!

    • @LearntoPlayGames
      @LearntoPlayGames  5 років тому +1

      Hey thanks for the questions. so first what do Vale cards do well some give you victory points at the end of the game some will give you an ability that will last the rest of the game or just one turn. You can get them by spending spirit symbols you will find on advancement cards (transparent cards you purchase to improve your deck) they are found on the left side of the card and you will need a number of them matching the vale card you would like to purchase. Your field is your hand so during your turn if don't spoil you will use the resources in your field to purchase advancements and vale cards. At the end of your turn you will discard you field and during the next player's turn you will reset your field giving you a new hand to work with. Please let me know if this helps and if not what you understand and don't so I can try to explain it differently to help better. Thanks for watching;)

    I need a Learn to Appreciate video for this game. I just don't get it, and worry it will now gather dust on my shelf. It's just a sort of weak-sauce push-your-luck game, and nothing really beyond that.

      Hopefully....hopefully...future iterations of this system will be more interesting. My wife, a casual gamer who loves simple games like Splendor, found it tedious. Not a good sign.

      They are planning on releasing expansions for this game and keep in mind that this is more or less a game teaching the mechanics of a much more involved game they are working on, which will be coming out next year. This is not normally my style game as you can see by my videos I like the bigger more complicated games, but I have enjoyed playing it and I do feel that there are some good strategies for it. Not sure if that helps at all. thanks for posting ;)

      I agree, but it requires very little twist to get variation.
      For me a some kind off bidding to take turns first every turn as an example, or play first to X points or most points in 3 games.

      I'd love this game as a digital product ^_^
