Leclerc basically continued going straight and at some point due to the track layout he found him self in the middle of the track and that point Gasly still had space but you can clearly see that Gasly steered to the left all of sudden while Leclerc was still maintaing that position. I think it went like that but I still can't tell who is really at fault because Leclerc could have stayed a bit more to the left.
@@marcocarnevali3448 Leclerc's fault without doubt. He turns right to get into Gasly's slipstream but he did not calculated well the distance between the two cars. He is really talented but he usually makes silly mistakes, and this one did cost Gasly's race unfortunately, and it could have created a nasty accident tbh...

The leclerc and Gasly collision was a racing incident. The track has a slight right hand kink before it goes left up to the braking zone in turn 3. Leclerc was following the curve of the track while Gasly just kept going straight because of Alonso on his inside. The camera and the on-board make it look like leclerc turned right, but look at the edge of the track on his left. Due to the track characteristics it made it seem to him that Gasly turned left
lol. Leclerc is behind Gasly and he tries to move it behind him for slipstream, but once again he misjudges the positioning and he hits another car. FIA didn't even investigate.

F1 we want to see the on board camera of the guy who was overtaken too. We missed the prospective of Alonso when Leclerc overtook him so we didn't see the contact between them.
I'm the biggest Ferrari and Leclerc fan you'll find but that was a really really poor misjudgement on the first lap. Really annoying that some people are trying to put some of the blame on Gasly. I don't think Leclerc could've been too upset if he got a penalty... Not a harsh one, more like 5 seconds or something and that in the end wouldn't even have changed his race result but anything harsher than that would still have been too much. We know the FIA usually let lap 1 incidents go these days. What do want to add though, the audacity of Leclerc to go around the outside of Alonso through turn 3 with a smashed front wing is crazy! Leclerc is very similar to Verstappen, a few years ago Max made so many small mistakes that often had big consequences for others or for him, but now, never any mistakes anymore really. Leclerc is in that same period as Verstappen at the moment, where he knows he's one of the top 3 drivers on the grid but just needs to reel that motivation and drive in a tiny bit, in particular on lap 1.
