Nice comparison! 20% uplift in performance and 20% reducing power consumption is not bad at all. Of course price is inflated as everything this days! You rock man👏👏
I'll keep my trusty 3060 ti until next gen (or maybe a SUPER refresh if it has a bigger bus for VR). I usually play on low settings to get more FPS anyway, so the 8gb isn't detrimental to me
Low settings doesn't look bad at all in modern games, sometimes it's hard to tell any difference between low and higher presets even, especially if you crank the resolution.
JUST got my *4070* Today and I LOVE IT. Man, undervolted and overclocked. This thing sips power at 175 watts for me, and I can ultra anything at over 120fps 1440p, and many at 4k even. it's soooo smooth. Many games played terrible on my 7900xtx before I sold it. Origins was like 70-80fps in citties, now I'm at 130+ Still 200-300fps in WoW. OC"d really well too. got +200mhz core and 800 on memory with nothing else touched. Cheap ventus one too lol. Runs GREAT! and super cool. I actually am falling in love with this GPU. What a great balance. Loving Frame generation. Doubling my FPS reaching 7900xtx fps in titles that support it, quite funny really lol. COuldn't be happier. And the $100 Steam card I got with it from microcenter, made the card only 500. It was an easy buy.
@@RobertFromEarth In a ray traced game with FG yes it will, with absolute ease. 7900xtx with path tracing Cyberppunk requires 1080p ULTRA performance mode fsr and still gets like 30-55fps. I can run it at 1440p quality dlss with FG and be around 60-90fps. Including other games that have FG, I match or beat it. All at 178 watts.
Witcher 3 at 1440p with ray tracing on: 3070 gets 31 fps 4070 gets 38 fps XD Also, at Red Dead Redemption 2, this guy gets 95 fps at 1440p on his 3070. How are you only getting 53? /watch?v=V_cjQbe6FVI

Something was wrong with your system because there is no way a 4070 will outperform a 7900 XTX ?!?

the guy with more fps probably using Optimised settings for RDR 2
regular ultra preset without advanced settings or optimized settings
8 gb VRAM not enough even in 1440 p 😮
It is, just lower like 1 thing that is making it raise so much, not a big deal :)
even 1080p not enough
@@Ronaldoegoat For AMD users even 1080 isn't enough for cuberpunk path tracing, you're right!
def worth it
Love mine!
