      @@tristardiggin It works good actually. With the Design of the two teeth on the front it helps get under them pretty well. But it is harder than Bigger oaks because of exactly what you said, No leverage to push. It works really good on Cedars, Thorns and The Privet You referred too . Soil type is as Big a Factor as anything when you start pulling trees. Looser the Better of course .Lol

    About 15 years ago we bought a house and 5 acers so we would have a place to keep our horses, I spent about a month doing what you did in 2 days, the privet had grown up so badly that it engulfed the barn, it's amazing what you can do when you have the right tool for the job.

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Рік тому

      Thanks Max. It's surprising what a piece of equipment can do in just a short time. Privet is so invasive and it doesn't take long for it to take over. Thankfully it pulls up pretty easy though.

    That brushy stuff is exactly what I have to do on my place! My E85 is about the size of your machine, 9 tons. So I'm looking at hopefully a similar result. It will take me longer since I have all of maybe 5 hrs on it, but then I'm not on the clock either. Whoohoo ! I'm thinking it will be a blast.

    Another great video. This kinda clearing makes me wanna abandon mulching and just pull it all with an excavator! Do you ever root rake after with your skidsteer? Another great message. Keep it up!!

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Рік тому +1

      Clearing with excavator definitely does a great job getting rid of the stump and roots for sure. Then burning gets rid of the material. Mulching really makes a place look good too. I have another video or two coming from this site that shows the cleanup of roots and loose materials. Basically I just cleanup based on what the property owner wants it to look like. If I were to hit this place with the power rake it would really be nice.
