I did a trench like this - just shorter and without a Ventrac! - and when the straw decomposed it worked its way into the corrugated perforated pipe and plugged it. Better to use pipe fabric in place of the straw or use a drain sleeve around the pipe. Hope yours hold up long term!
Well hopefully the stone blocks it from entering my pipe. I tried not to use to much, Just enough to keep the dirt out. Time will tell I guess. I looked into the pipe sleeve material, But I read where it would clog over time as well. Worse case I have 3 outles to jet them to clean if I need to.
You have a good point. A excavator leaves chunks of ground behind. The trencher pulverizes the material into a fine material that makes it very easy to back fill and grade. I think you also get a more uniform trench eith the trencher as well.
Nice job buddy! I ordered my trencher this past April still waiting on it? Was supposed to be here in June, hopefully I'll get it soon thanks for the video 👍
That thing moves along alot quicker than i thought
damn..that is a huge acreage, nice...
Thanks
You might do well to put down some long strip of mulch material to catch the dirt for easier cleanup
Awesome video!!! thank you for showing us all the advantages of all the ventrac attachments. Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it. It is a great machine.
Nice work- I love seeing the Ventrac in action
How many acres is that area you're showing on both sides of the driveway?
It should be right arond 2 and a half acers for the front yard that you see.

I did about 450 feet in my hay field this summer. The trencher doesn't tear everything up like an excavator. I think that will work well for you.
