Decking your opponent was always a thing in Mtg and took off as a strategy with Antiquities in early 94. In 95 Decipher released the Star Wars CCG that used your deck as your life in came and did it VERY Well! Wizards trying integrating this into their games multiple times after this, first with Battletech in 96 which was decent initially, and later in 2001 with this Harry Potter TCG which they let die on the vine.
Great video! Turns sometimes take longer or shorter. Without being able to do all of the things like in MTG or Yugioh, players tend to think more about the restriction of only doing 2 things, so some turns may take a bit more.
