She wishes that she could undo it, but she can’t really do anything about it since she’s all over the web now. Love the song and the metaphors! It's supposed to be about how people are addicted to social media. She uses a spider that lures flies in as a metaphor for the internet that lures people in. However, I also liked how the first verse, chorus, and second verse have very different moods. I think it's a great way to represent how there are many types of content on the web that can lure people in (if that was melanie's intention).

It looks interesting, but once your stuck you can never leave. The “web” is literally and metaphorically a analogy for the internet and it’s creepiest corners that no one should be able to tread.

I feel like this song is about her experience as a famous person. She’s thinking about spiders and webs, which could be a metaphor for the World Wide Web. I think she’s thinking about how she really wanted to be discovered and worked really hard to get her self all over the web but then she realized that she didn’t want to be out there like that anymore and that it was dangerous. She wishes that she could undo it, but she can’t really do anything about it since she’s all over the web now. That could be why her new outfit completely covers up her body and makes her look like a new person because that’s the best that she could do to still do what she loves, and not be as “visible” and out there.

Love the song and the metaphors! It's supposed to be about how people are addicted to social media. She uses a spider that lures flies in as a metaphor for the internet that lures people in. However, I also liked how the first verse, chorus, and second verse have very different moods. I think it's a great way to represent how there are many types of content on the web that can lure people in (if that was melanie's intention).
I just understood what she meant by “wasting my hours” bc most insects only live for a few hours
I never really listened to a lot of her music but this it scratches the the part of my brain that just loves this kind of stuff
