- A lot of Lego and Electric Motors and Controllers!
I'm sure you'll like it!
Train track is made of Technic Beams and is 9 studs wide and 2 studs high. Trains are 11 studs wide and some parts 13 studs.
Wheel Modification is required, see my other video.
I started this video a couple weeks ago before the big train accident in The Netherlands. It's a bit unfortunate timing.

HAVE FUN!
The crane has so many more features than I originally thought it would have, awesome!
I like the up and down myself.
This was incredible! Would be quite remarkable to somehow see two of these cranes hooked together and recover in tandem onto a flat car or something like that (can't even imagine how long building just one took but an idea nonetheless)
Thanks! I have seen some videos of recovery work in real life and they usually don't lift a complete locomotive but first one side and then the other side back on the rails.
I probably will not take my crane apart so if I build another one I will make a video with some crane team work.
@@legotechnictrains8999 Interesting stuff for real. Will be waiting for more cranes to come in the future!
Incredible, you're using technic pieces to build train tracks & the trains
Even that rail crane
Люблю поезда особено твои ани такие технические
🎉🎉❤
Wow that's a cool one scene
Your a very clever person. Seriously.
Some ruptured tanker cars would be a cool recovery. Or offloading a military tank.
Your channel and your MOC engineering is SOOO great... I've never thought before that making Technic railroad tracks and vehicles is even possible, yet you use Technic bricks to make the most realistic brick train models I've ever seen!!! Respect, bro!
Glad you like them!
@@legotechnictrains8999 that dinosaur was on the train tracks just knock that orange truck off the train tracks 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Build the biggest crane you can.
Yes, the one that runs on two tracks and us pushed by two locomotives, a bit like the German Schwerer Gustav railway gun.
Awesome!Just a detail: @10:15 in real life, to do this kind of liftings, they would use a beam and a single crane hook.
This cable-based crane is incredibly cool for such a project, although I do wonder if the bigger air pistons would allow for "hydraulics" that are actually pneumatic for the modern one. I suspect they don't have the strength at the pressure you have from the lego compressor though unless the were doubled up or something. Either way, an impressive build, and I appreciate that you go through all of the step to unpack and pack up the equipment to maximize realism.
I think I will build a crane like the EDK 750. So that should have 2 linear actuators to lift the boom. Not sure if you know but there are Lego linear actuators that look like pistons but actually work like a nut and bolt so no pneumatics but you need to connect an axle to spin the bolt to go up/down. They can handle more weight and don't have issues with air leaks.
But in theory I could also use pneumatic because a Lego compressor is pretty powerful. I use compressors form my "steam train" so I already have one.
We'll see what works best.
I just learned that you can use beams as track. I don't currently have any rail stuff but definitely keeping that one in my mind.
È la prima volta che vedo questo video e devo solo dire meraviglioso complimenti veramente un sistema fantastico.
That crane was in the Fleischmann model train catalogue 40 years ago, and I SO wanted to have that thing. When I get back my attic I'm going to make me one like that, but in non technic lego. I guess with less functions...
One word: impressive and i would play all day and night with this lay-out.
This is the Best video so far... i watch these with my little boy, his is fascinations are trans AND cranes. While i enjoy the incredible technic he likes all the moving lego trains. The addition of that lego technic bro and the surprise dino accident are the things which made it so enjoyable today. It feals more light hearded then and you can feal all that work you put in that project. Greatt work
Thanks, cool that you & son liked it!
I will probably add the technic guys in future videos. Unfortunately they are too big for my scale trains, and the mini-figures are too small.
I hope my videos will get a lot of views so I can buy a better camera and more lights for my room. Will be fun!
Train Derailmant is a good mission
Just an idea, try making a derailer for the tracks, after all, its lego technic.
IKEA and Lego coming together in a fantastic feat of Scandinavian engineering.
The crane looks awesome!!!
I watched you since the start of the channel you're a real talent.
You exceeded my expectations! Very impressive, nice job!
KIDS LIKE LEGO TRAINS
😂🤘🍓🦊💖👐
Lol really cool setup!
I can't get enough of these trains
I like how the crane prepares itsself with only a little ammount of man power, good building
The technic dudes pulling the pins was a nice touch. ;-)
Wow Thats so cool thanks
🏆#1 crane 🏆
awsome build! You will find it easier to lift if you put cardboard or something under your crane base. Carpet is way softer than real world situational equielevent. Good Luck!
the things i dream with technic but will never be able to create
ok, this is insane
love the builds and dedication! maybe a bridge/rail recovery?
These are awesome
Awesome video
You should build that Chinese bridge building machine
Yes that looks like a cool build but it's not on rails but just normal wheels. But maybe I can make something similar. Thanks for the idea!
Awesome 🎉
! Excellent video !
Insance setup. Thanks for sharing
Awesome! I liked all the well thought-out solutions like the counterweights being attached from a seperate wagon, and especially how that one counterweight powered the conveyor belt to move itself :)
Would love to see a water rescue with the crane.
So first I need to crash something into water?
@Lego Technic TRAINS maybe recover a safe from an armored train car?
The little remote winch is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
No hands allowed haha
Outstanding! It has all the fuctionality a real one has!
The next recovery mission, to make it BIG, when you make second, modern crane, should be to recover the crashed OLD CRANE 😎🤓(EDIT: with BOTH COUNTERWEIGHTS mounted 😱😱😱😱)
A Thomas and themed crash maybe? This is so cool :) My boyfriend introduced me to this! :)
cool
interesting content
Crazy complex, especially with parts not really designed to build railroad with.
I rarely comment, but that was freaking cool... I don't even like trains :D
Thanks!
you are a genius
Amazing! You should make a heavy duty knuckleboom crane that can lift a whole train.
You’re absolutely nutty for creating all this. Amazing
i think the next acedent should be a train fliped
I love this video! 3 great things - trains and legos and engineering. My only criticism is that there was a curse word in it, which I find a problem just because I wanted to share this with a student of mine that is on the autism spectrum and curse words are inappropriate for kids
I would like to see an ALCo RS1, RS2, or RS3 (preferably the RS3) these should be a challenge because of how narrow the body is on them
Every time I watch one of your videos, it blows my mind. This is how Lego should do trains!
It’ll just cost your house
Lego likes their builds to not be over complicated they find if they make it too complex less people purchase them.
I really like where this is heading. Great elevator and crane (all other trains are ofc great as well). The only thing I would criticize would be that boring part with the dinosaur. Tips fo future missions? Maybe something like repairing tracks. Or you might try building cargo-car that would unload cargo (coal, rocks) to the side. And combine it with excavator.
Thanks!
funny how the 1 thing that derailed has the ability to go on land anyway
EDK 750 looks interesting in my opinion :)
Yes that's the one I am also looking at. In yellow, blue or red?
@@legotechnictrains8999 i prefer Blue. I havent seen in different color :)
That is the coolest thing I ever seen pretty cool man keep up the good work
It was incredible 👍👍
Looks and works awesome
Thanks 👍
Love this to bits dood!
thanks dood!
Respect
You must make a multi track drifting!!!!!!!
?
wow! fantastisch gedaan! de kraan ziet er echt geweldig uit! je kan misschien de pneumatische locomotief recoveren.
Awesome👍
Thanks 🤗
Great vid, and great creativity with the Legos. I find your stegosaraus ( legosaraus?) interesting. I'm a old model railroaded who is influenced by a even older American model railroaded by the name of John Allen, he modelled in HO scale and had a stegosaraus as a yard switcher (loco #4) on his model.railway.
Genius!
Very nice work
superbe, merci :-)
Great video! You should try to make a Lego es44ah
that was amazing i saw that and directly follow you nice work keep going 👍💪
Thanks!
Try doing a big boy wreck (like 4005 for example.)
epic
fantastic video mate. How do you manage to keep carpet clean with so much track in the way?
Usually I only clean the carpet before I make a video haha. So then I disconnect the track on one side of the room and carry to the other side, and vice versa.
Is your end table made out of Ramen? Love the video!
All you need to do now is get the crane driving under its own power lol lol
that is the plan for the next rail crane. Luckily it does not need to go fast
Let’s see how it handles your pneumatic steam locomotive and coach, quite possibly show it off laying new track? Or having it help build a bigger crane?
That lift looking like the great elevator from mad max fury road bruh
MEGA 👍👍👍
I like trains- (gets run overd by trains)
A full train, such as the technic version of the Emerald Night
Build a train hauling cargo and do a derailment of the car hauling the cargo
As a modern rail crane I would prefere the german Goliath crane.
Did you count how much did you spend on all this stuff? Very impresive!
Very cool. Have you thought about increasing the counterweight to be able to lift heavier cars?
Thanks, but I think the 2 battery boxes are the limit because with more counterweight(s) the crane will drop too much at the back (when it's not lifting anything). Unfortunately the plastic Lego turntable is a bit flexible.
it'd be interesting for a engine to get recovered from a fall to area with no tracks like from the top of a some what large fall
Bot that would help you with home chores
hey to get you more counter weigh i use the lego weigh bricks 73090b for my smaller train crane but i can lift heavy. each brick is 53.3 grams and i use about 8 on mine
Could of just used your had. Awesome
😀😀😀
Установку тепловоза, или погрузка разгрузка вагона.
Crane can help us solve many difficult problems
I also have ideas to solve the problem of moving trains, please support me if you like them
crane rescue crane
would be funny idea
maybe not worth the effort of building crane 2.
15:16 someone told this dude to use his head
Build a EDK-2000-77 crane
Me: 😮 my mind: 😅 give me
Thanks to the internet I'm so unhinged I read "Eisenbahndrehkran" as heisenberg. What the actual fuck is wrong with me
Where coupd i get trains sets like those?
Bro how do u make these I want a train like that
