That's crazy, reckon that rare dial variant day dates and datejusts from that period are under appreciated. If a daytona, sub or gmt had that kind of dial it would be a 6-7 figure watch.

It wasn't just Rolex that used these confetti dials. I have a 1970s 18K Girard Perregaux with *exactly* the same dial finish. The dials, or at least the finishing of them, must have been done by a 3rd party company like Singer. These confetti dials are very rare full-stop though, and I think GP only used them on a very few gold watches too.

So wild as yesterday I purchased a mint all original Eterna sonic KonTiki on its original Gay Freres bracelet and the date stamp on that is the third quarter 71! Were they making these bracelets for Rolex back then? I know they did some oyster bracelets but am not sure about the gold bracelets.
