There has been a painted bunting in my front yard the last two days, in Grape Creek, Texas. Ive lived in this area my entire life and I've never seen one until now.

You used to be able to purchase a Painted Buting or Rainbow Finch for $50 at the pet store now there highly protected by the Migratory Bird Act the Alexandrine Parakeet is fixing to be put on that list as an Endangered Species and prices have gone up from $200 to $500 for Babies , Adult's can fetch up to $1,000.
