I particularly loved the asian/shanghai aesthetics of the video..that eeriness and dream-like atmosphere!
This was a great song for her, it is in alignment with a number of her other songs, like the ones you mentioned, Puppet and Tears of Gold, but also Born Without A Heart; Don't Tell Me I'm Pretty; and My Hearts Grave. (I'm pretty sure a few more as well). I think she is starting to get a bit more exposure as she is currently competing in the Singer 2024 which is in China, and that's why she did this video in Shanghai. Thanks for reacting to this one!! If you're going to react to her performances there are a ones that she's done before, but she also covers songs we've never heard her cover before and some really awesome twists she adds to them! ❤❤❤
She seems to be becoming a huge star in China so maybe she’s getting that exposure after all. I think China is one of the best and biggest markets in the world so that’s really cool. She can promote this early 2000 style pop music as some things similar to K-pop for sure. It was nice getting this throwback to 20 something years ago.

I hope that as well. With Faouzia the less production the better the song will be. I am just not any more in for shallow poppy productions and she does that much better in her stripped-versions.
Please do Shakespeares sister Stay. Its a song about death. A woman is singing to a man in a coma asking him to not die and to stay with her. The lyrics imply it may be from a suicide attempt or drug overdose possibly. The overal theme however is still death. Its an incredible song too

This is perfect for your psychological analysis. She hinted at some things she went through not long ago where she couldn’t feel anything and was feeling numb. I think she had a little crash or burn out from all the work that she does all the time she says it’s a continuation of the story that she started telling in “Fur Elise”.
I totally agree a very throwback kind of song like Brittany or Christina it was good to see a different side of her but I also agree I prefer her slower more jazz sounding or middle eastern sound it just sounds more natural to her but to get the exposure I think is why she is doing this music (maybe) I like her voice either way lol.
