The GRE and GMAT are two of most used graduate exams for those seeking to study a Masters Degree or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. The Graduate Record Exam and Graduate Management Admissions Test have been taken for over 50 years and are taken by approximately 600,000 and 300,000 people worldwide annually, respectively. These exams are typically taken between the ages of 18-40, by those who have completed, or are about to complete, their Bachelors Degree.

keep doing the walkthrough as much as you can. There is less content on youtube regarding vocabulary and reading comprehension walkthrough as well as teaching them.

@@TheTestedTutor @18:44. this is not a good SE question. but anachronistic would have been my guess. For areas to be lacking, ,i.e., negligible there has been no progress. The state of affairs is still like the past and so in that sense anachronistic. Things are no different. No progress. Same old same old. I agree its weak, but it seems the best of the worst. Porous just strikes me as wrong.
The one about symphony. Not sure I would agree with 2nd "4th was largely unnecessary" He says that the 4th renders the first 3 superfluous. He doesn't say the first three render the fourth one superfluous. He doesn't like it, that's for sure. But to say it's "unnecessary" is a bit of a stretch. The problem is you don't know what an official GRE would do. And that's the danger of practicing using 3rd party.
16/20 or 80% is a barrier I cannot seem to break with the vast majority of wrong answers coming from R/C and not TC/SE.

Hi Phillip! I'm a huge fan of your videos and I've just about watched them all in preparation for my GRE exam that's coming up! I find the walkthrough videos to be the most beneficial as they help me gain insight on how you would approach questions/problems under a time limit; furthermore, it replicates the pressure of taking the actual exam, which I can appreciate. Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks, by the way! I thoroughly enjoyed your most recent video and I cannot wait for the complete quant. section walkthrough. :-)

I compared porous (having holes) to negligible as (being to small to consider). To me, both terms could insinuate that the findings were "incomplete." You have helped me tremendously to prepare for the GRE! You are awesome!

Hey Philip, just had my exam! Got a not to shabby 326 overall!
I was jubilant over getting 165 on verbal, I only wish I could’ve seen your videos sooner (I first discovered you like two weeks ago) so I could’ve done better than 161. I’m not applying anywhere just yet, but time will tell if I wind up retaking, but for now I am so so so thankful for your vids, words can’t capture how helpful they have been!!

33:06 Also, could Porous here mean lacking, in a nuanced way. Like I've heard sometimes words have a scope of meaning more than one thing, when put in different contexts. For example:
    1) I had an argument with Dave over the food.
    2) Mr Cooper, what is your basic argument for this topic?
    Am I thinking correctly Philip?

Porous could have other sponge-like meanings, such as having holes, which makes sense given that the sentence says some knowledge is incomplete or has holes. Ironically, I picked porous first lol

I heard that these practice tests are much easier than the actual GRE, primarily because they depend on more vocab knowledge etc. which is easier to attain than say comprehension which is heavily tested on actual GRE, what do you think about this Philip?
Edit: Sorry if you already mentioned this in the actual video, I haven't watched the video yet but will soon today.

    • @TheTestedTutor

@@TheTestedTutor I understand Philip, but what I mean to say is not the actual GRE getting harder... But it being harder than this practice test that you are going through in this video.
Like in the actual GRE Verbal the questions are a bit more difficult than these McGraw Hill practice tests primarily in the reading comprehension questions.
I can attest to this myself to be honest, I took a McGraw Hill practice test a while ago and I nearly got all of them right but when I took a free PowerPrep test I performed significantly lower :/

Hey. I have been learning a lot from your content and I decided to take my first test on powerprep practice test 1 today. There were only 5 sections in that test (1 AWA, 2 VR, 2 QR). Isn't the actual test supposed to have 6 sections?

    • @TheTestedTutor
      @TheTestedTutor  3 роки тому +1

Yes, one experimental section is added but doesn't count to your overall score. Trouble is, you don't know which one is experimental.
