MANTALAI || Chenani || Jammu (Mantalai Circuit - Sudh Mahadev, Gauri Kund and Mantalai)

Mantalai, a picturesque resort spread over 125 acres of land is located at Tehsil Chenani of District Udhampur, J&K. The Ashram was set by Late Swami Dhirendra Brahmachari to teach yoga to his disciples. However after the Brahmachari’s mysterious accidental death in a private plane crash at Mantalai in 1994, property worth crores was left unattended by the successive state governments and has been turned into shambles.
The place has a potential to be turned into a spiritual resort.

Jk govt alloted crores of rupees for the development of tourist spots in Kashmir but never pay any attention towards the tourist spots of Jammu for development which are dying inches by inches due to non allotment of funds and govt never try to bring it on the tourism map and to attract the tourists to visit and see the natural beauty of this place .
