As a veteran player from Destiny 1 year 1 i tried to play trials back when hardlight was busted. And i hated it and i tried also afterwards but i really don't like how the system works. It's either sweat your butt of and improve or 100% lose after winning 4 or 5 matches in a row and i hate everything about it because it's such emotional rage inducing torture. And i experienced it back when i was playing comp many seasons backwards and i hated every second of it. Aka no middle ground at all
In the game around 14:00 in, the reason StatusSD looks “laggy” is because he is basically snap canceling on strand warlock, it’s really tough to do but you can do the cancel on stasis and strand, and while it looks goofy and breaks the animation quite a bit, it provides a nice bit of movement tech to a subclass with very little movement at all. Source: I’ve played with him before and he is a goated player.
This weekend was insanely tough. I had a 1.73 KD for the season and averaged a 1.07 this past weekend. First time I had not gone flawless in a long time. I’m on Xbox and I swear I played so many mnk players

When a guy can slide a sniper lane and doesn't miss a shot 5 rounds in a row he's got something helping him aim -- anything above a 80 percent headshot acc is sus!
I love titans that shotgun hide behind barricades. It was a 1v1 between me and one of them and we both stared at each other silently. All my team rez? Behind him. All of his? Behind me. So we had a staring contest as I sat on zone. He didnt move. I got to cap. He didnt even push.

I played as a solar/void warlock with the Stag as an exotic and syncopation and retold tale for weapons. Nothing meta there besides having to use well for harder games. Literally a majority of those games weren’t even decided by supers anyways. Just goes to show that it’s not even meta weapons or subclass that wins games, because positioning and aim will win them. Meta just helps against those who are equal, meta ain’t gonna help if you can’t even figure out a dang thing positioning wise and can’t hit the broadside of a barn.

He made the stupid push right there. Down a lane that was already occupied by a sniper. He should have used his his handcannon there and tried to peak shot. Guy was clearly to far to use a sidearm on. He even peaked out before he pushed and Sean that he was on the edge of engagement range for his sidearm which means that any amount of back peddle would make the person he is pushing not push able. Yet he chose to push anyway.
I used to have a 3 stack that I'd run with and we'd go flawless every weekend together. Matchmaking as gotten so bad, we can't run with eachother anymore. It's like every lobby has that player that's always a frame ahead, never there, always shooting through walls.

I'm trying to go flawless for the firs ttime this weekend, but it just seems that Bungie hates me. I get matchmade with blueberries and matchmade against sweats. Mind U, both of my teammates quit in the gane that I just played. Used 1 of loadouts and all. Seems harder than IB, which is funny because Trials is meant to be easier than IB at the moment.
As someone in a corporate environment, money can always be saved by thinning at the top first. I'm willing to bet they could cut 10-30% of upper management and nobody would see a single change. But what do I know.
I managed to get solo flawless this weekend and last weekend on endless vale. It’s something I’d never managed to do before actually. Whenever I matched with a buddy on pc and tried to help him with some matches, though, they were fucking horrendous. 3 stack sentinel titans or a mix of bubbles and wells who had nigh god tier team shooting ability.
I think the biggest issue is that all but the most hardcore players are done with Destiny. So the player pool is now much higher skill players. Just a theory, but its my best guess

Solos and duos is essentially russian roulette at this point. You either get the bad teammates or the good teammates and if you’re duoing verse another good duo stack, you’re praying that you get the better solo. About 45% of the games are barely winnable and you have to hope that every game leading up to flawless is going towards your favor. Not even taking into account of the amount of cheaters I’ve faced this past Pacifica weekend. I literally played about 20 legitimate cheaters with walls and aimbots, most if not 1/3 of my matches played were closet cheating with a xim for sure. I literally played a three stack from Asia and he sniped me and I spectated him from my POV and see him tracking my teammate with a sniper waiting for him to peek out. It’s actually pretty bad lately now with aimbots. I never really enjoy solos or duos because of the unbalanced teams.

Dude was tracking my teammate through a wall ,like what, no sniper is tracking somebody through a wall buddy, nobody does that ever, mostly when my teammate was behind staircase and behind a wall and than sliding out and get instantly domed as soon as his character pops out. His snipe was inhumane for a reaction speed that fast that someone is getting pre-sniped before even fully peeking. A best sniper gets around .6-.8 , maybe high .5ish seconds to react which is normal for the top 0.1%, his was almost nearly instant snipes and I can definitely tell when one’s definitely spinning and not.

It may be a lack of player diversity. If only elite players dare to enter trials, then you’ll end up with a distribution of matches where the average player is actually exceptional when compared to the entire D2 population. I think Bungie is making an effort to make trials more inviting to the layman by now granting 2 forgiveness and more non adept rewards after matches, but these changes have yet to gain momentum. It would also help if the community were also less toxic, there have been a few times were ive had an off game and get nasty messages telling me I should just delete D2 😂. My man, the two flawless mercy cards are deceiving. After your first game of the entire week (which is always practice pool) you’re stuck in the challenger pool until you lose your first mercy or if you reset your card at any point, you’re in the challenger pool until you lose your first game (challenger pool is full of tryhards gunning for the seasonal Trials emblem in my experience). Then you’re in the pool of people trying to either go flawless or trying to just farm rep/rewards (which is very minimal in Trials, because you get virtually nothing for a loss, so people typically only go for flawless imo). There is always going to be less player diversity unless you’re introducing loot that people want, giving out increased rep gains or the first week or two of a new season/expansion. If they wanted to make it more accessible then they need to give loot to the people who are likely on the prominently losing side of the metrics (the people who can’t go flawless need some type of reason to stay that’s worthwhile). Kind of like how they’re introducing rewards for playing a card until it becomes flawed for a little bit of materials given (referenced for an upcoming change next season in the most recent TWAB).
They should've kept the employees and decrease the pay of upper management especially since they are the ones fucking up the changes they wanna do to the game anyways. Every time we give any feedback it hasnto pass through upper management so if no changes are being made its not the community managers fault or whoever. Upper management has to approve it so honestly i feel bad for the devs for having such garbage upper management

I think bungie should play test crucible maps with prominent long playing destiny playing streamers and youtubers such as jake and others and get their live reviews and inputs about the maps what they should change or do with said map layout and not allow footage but be abled to talk about it or the whole experince and how it was good that bungie let them come and test it and listen to their live reviews that would revive a major part of destiny crucible and PVP just something i thought of. To be fair trials is advertised as a tournament type mode. This implies competitiveness which means you should be playing to win. Playing to win entails giving yourself the best tools that garner success. Also is winning not fun? You are implying that winning is not the fun part in and of itself to other people. The problem with the don't use the meta not fun argument is that it assumes playin to win is not fun. Which is a direct contradiction to how dopamine usually works. Wins feel good that's why you want to win.
No it isn’t. I go flawless solo every week and play the game maybe 1.5 hours a day through the week and 3 hours each weekend days. Flawless solo trials means you’ll either get carried or carry but it seems to be the easiest for me as opposed to duoing

Hold on to that card if you’re looking for adepts! Even if you flaw the card, you can keep getting adepts on wins if you don’t reset it or turn it in.

Maybe the guy just used his radar and aimed at head height waiting for you to bot walk around the corner you can’t really be sure if he’s cheating

I don't understand those that 3 stack with everyone playing the most meta thing possible. What's the fun in playing trials all weekend if you don't even play the class/loadout you want and never even try some other fun weapons?
To be fair trials is advertised as a tournament type mode. This implies competitiveness which means you should be playing to win. Playing to win entails giving yourself the best tools that garner success. Also is winning not fun? You are implying that winning is not the fun part in and of itself to other people. The problem with the don't use the meta not fun argument is that it assumes playin to win is not fun. Which is a direct contradiction to how dopamine usually works. Wins feel good that's why you want to win.

No it isn’t. I go flawless solo every week and play the game maybe 1.5 hours a day through the week and 3 hours each weekend days.
Flawless solo trials means you’ll either get carried or carry but it seems to be the easiest for me as opposed to duoing

ig it might be hardest since the trials rework so long ago but definitely not the hardest ever. i personally dont have issues but the matches are very rng with who you get
Complain few seasons ago that it became to easy now its to hard. I agree trials is in a bad spot but when the first change happened few seasons ago it shouldve been left alone

For the love of God who cares? It’s their business and they get to decide what to do. Did they go about it in a kinda shitty way?
