Also between Spain and France 300 400 years ago there are reports and stories of these kind of happenings. The Pyrenees mountains are still a very wild place

It's a sensational lying video. The helicopter shot they showed is actually herd of deer, and wolf packs hardly ever get up to 20 individuals. Most packs are under 7 (not counting the pups from that season)
Wolf pack is actually a family with mom, dad and survived pups from the previous seasons who weren't pushed out of their pack for behavior or didn't leave to seek a mate to start their own pack. Wolf pack will not tolerate or accept non blood related wolf into the pack. So these "super packs" are just a myth.
The only canines that do form super packs are spotted dogs and hyenas. Both of them have multi family structures with their own hierarchy that closer resembles in dynamics family structure of apes and monkeys

Reality: None of these animals are remotely close to human intelligence. Also human intelligence appears to be increasing at a ridiculous rate. The average IQ 100 years ago would classify you as deficient in 2020. The intelligence disparity between humans and animals is already massive and is widening every day.

@Joe Public I am most familiar with the Sumatran Tiger. The Dutch military (late 1940's) in Indonesia would help locals when Tiger attacks happened. They would comb an area where the tiger was believed to be. Military with guns spaced out with locals with clubs. I remember asking Dad "What if the tiger attacked you?" Dad soberly responded, "You hoped your buddy could shoot straight." And then Dad was quiet. And Dad was a talkative guy. Years later I reflect on the selflessness of all those men. Putting themselves in harms way for the benefit of others. Sumatran tigers are smaller and only are 200 to 250 pounds. I still don't think I want to meet one with a club though.

There is supposedly a true story reported 6/29/1917 in the Newyork times from world war 1 where in the Russian & German armies in some heavily wooded front had to unofficially actually suspend hostilities & work in cooperation with one another because they had so many troops being attacked killed & eaten by highly agressive wolf packs once the sun went down it was believed the animals had become accustomed to human flesh due to the abundant availability of deceased soldiers due to the intensity of the battle in the, area & the scarcity of their regular prey items having vacated the area of conflict

However now, they would most likely just kill livestock first. There’s a reason American settlers exterminated the vast majority of wolves here. If they didn’t, they would have no food. It’s almost impossible to protect cows, sheep, whatever from wolves. Coyotes are easy prey for a few large farm dogs. They are also easy to shoot and keep away. Wolves are a lot smarter, larger, and more aggressive. They know how to get around humans. The wolves reintroduced to the Rocky Mountains and western US are such a huge problem for farmers, that they are about to be take off the endangered species act. So farmers/hunters can hunt them freely. I know some farmers already do. No one knows about it though, since they would get in big trouble.

It’s sad how quick news gets out of control. Wolves don’t form superpacks numbering in the hundreds. The largest documented wolf pack was 37 individuals. What you are more likely to have is a large population in a given area, but they aren’t necessarily forming one group. Wolf packs also lack a single lead wolf. A pack is generally led by a dominant breeding pair, their adult offspring, that year’s pups, and perhaps some other wolves attempting to pair off with the adult offspring

The thing I really hate about these societies is that they can kill a wolf and get cash for it, it isn't right. Imagine killing someone turning the body in just to get some cash in your pocket? Is honestly disgusting to know there are people out there that don't ca are about the wildlife but care about money. :/ money can't buy happiness.
