I went to El Salvador for the first time in April 2021 and stayed for 3 weeks. It is such a beautiful country and I can't wait to go back.

My wife is from el Salvador and we unfortunately are leaving back to the states, SLC UT, This was my 4th time here, my brother in law is the owner of 2 great restaurants Charlie Boy and La Herradurra great fun, food and beautiful country and beaches are very clean!

My husband surprised me with a 6 day trip to El Salvador (technically 4 days, the day you arrive and the day you leave don't count). My only regret, was not staying longer. People were so friendly, I asked a guy for directions, he hopped in his car and guided us to the location 🤯
In Mexico my in-laws and I have encountered some corrupt police and street vendors, it was a nice experience being a tourist in El Salvador. I feel like they treat tourists with respect ❤

That is a perfect example of how Salvadorans are so friendly and warm. I can't tell you how often that has happened to us or how many times Carlos has done the same for others. 💙💙💙

@Raquel D The same thing happened to us. I'm Salvadorean Canadian and my family left 33 years ago, so I was a little girl when we left. When I visited the first time after 25 years with my husband, Italian Canadian, I was like a tourist (sadly) and my people were so kind to us. One night we were lost, and this amazing man was eating with his wife, and noticed we were lost. He hopped in his car and ensured we made it to our Airbnb. My husband was shocked, and amazed by El Salvador and the beautiful people. ❤

It's amazing how an effective government can turn a country around and change the perspective of the entire country. I was born in El Salvador and moved to the US as a boy. @@ThatExpatMom I enjoyed every part of my trip, I spent 3 days in the volcano, 2 days in Coatepeque Lake and visited a lot of places as beaches, Apaneca, Ataco, Cafe Albania, several places at the volcano, the malls, but the best part was Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties with my Salvadoran and USA family. Next time I visit my country it will be a pleasure to know you.

Went for the second time in December….love the country and the Christmas celebration with all the fireworks was sensational. Noting like eating concha’s on the beach practically by yourself.

I emigrated to Canada more than 30 years ago and most of my life when talking about my birth country is to try to change the image in people's minds. 1987 was the last time I went to El Salvador as a young adult. I was raised there and left in 1976. Things weren’t so good then. For years I have wanted to return. I think this year (2022) I will make it happen. Thank you for your videos, you allow me to experience my beautiful little country through your eyes.

My goodness, what an amazing blog. El Salvador is a true gem in the rough. What I love most is that people don’t harass tourist as they do on other parts of the world. Harassing tourist is not acceptable in the local culture. I hope it stays like that.

My wife and I go every year in Jan/feb every year. My wife is from there. We have a blast we spend a lot of time at the beach.we plan on retiring there.

Great video! I was just in El Salvador 4 months ago it was amazing. Another thing you forgot to mention is how easy it is to rent a vehicle and get around since the country is small.
