You did forget to mention one thing, the final battle with Bowser. In fact, I come back to this game just to replay that battle I really love Bossfight were you get to use your opponents method of attack against them, and is incredibly satisfying to beat the living hell out of Bowser not to mention that the motion controls and rumble add to this effect giving you that rush of adrenaline

Got Odyssey 5 days ago, after finally getting a Switch a few days before that, and beat it an hour ago. Everything about this game was well worth the wait

Only when I was watching the end cutscene in this video JUST NOW did I realize that the Pirrahna Plants that Bowser has actually slowly open their mouths in shock along with Mario and Bowser. The small details like that are one of the reasons why I love this game.
Super mario 64 ds was my first EVER mario game. Recently i finally entered mushroom kingdom and nostalgia hit me so hard. The music in the castle, the sounds when you drain the water, the backyard, the paintings and the classic sounds. But the BIGGEST nostalgia hitter was easily the stars, and the sounds when you got them. The memories hit me hard.
How Super Mario Odyssey blows my mind: 1. Yoshi. Yoshi! YOSHI!! YOOOOOOOOSHIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!! #BLESSED! 2. The festival is just... oh my gosh! 3. The Super Mario World athletic theme. My all time favorite so far in the game! 4. On the same topic, the main theme just got a lot more smooth. 5. The first time I experienced the Cascade Kingdom, it felt so free. 6. 4 words. Jump. Up. Super. Star. Pauline, when it comes to that song, you make me want to jump up in the air. 7. I don't know why, but it just feels like multiple moons back to back to back to back to back. Awesome. 8. When you get all 999 moons, you get that sweet Super Mario Bros. level completion music. I mean, the prize could've been something better, but still. 9. You can just flat out buy moons. That's so generous. 10. The multi moon music always made me feel so happy! 11. The 64 costume. It strikes back. 12. Is it me, or do the paintings give you a Mario 64 vibe? 13. Dare I say it, Yoshi. 14. The 8-bit sections. It's cool to be flat and blocky; I don't blame you one bit, Cappy. 15. Speaking of which, the classic Mario costume comes back! 16. Speaking of which (again), Donkey Kong. It's-a been-a so long! 17. The freaking invisible costume! Where's Mario? Simple. Just look down and you'll see his shadow. 18. The gold Mario costume. Seriously! New Super Mario Bros. 2 vibes. 19. Combine the metal Mario costume with the Mario amiibo, and it'll feel like 64 all over again. 20. Did I mention Yoshi?
8/10 literally one of the greatest games I've ever played. I hope that in the sequel, the worlds will be much more expansive. The kingdoms were great and all, but I feel that I felt a bit claustrophobic being on a smallish floating island. I wish there was more of an emphasis on exploration.
Every kingdom is from an original idea of someone who works for Nintendo (more specifically Mario franchise), they decided to put it all together in one game. I find it amazingly beautiful. And I'm 50% agreeing when you talk about the music. Even tho I grew up with the music of Link: Windwaker / Mario 64 and Sunshine, I got to admit that the music is just so well done. And I have no idea why but most of the time when I ear the Donk CIty theme song (Odyssey I guess it can be called) I just start to cry at the chorus. zero idea why xD
I felt like this game took inspiration from all of those games and mashed them together. The exploration of 64, the lovable mario companion of sunshine, the wacky level design of galaxy.
I got this game for Christmas and I LOVE it! I’m currently on Wooded Kingdom (after I completed Lake Kingdom) and I have 3 moons to go until the next one. This is definitely my favourite Mario game!

Super mario 64 ds was my first EVER mario game. Recently i finally entered mushroom kingdom and nostalgia hit me so hard. The music in the castle, the sounds when you drain the water, the backyard, the paintings and the classic sounds. But the BIGGEST nostalgia hitter was easily the stars, and the sounds when you got them. The memories hit me hard.

1. Yoshi. Yoshi! YOSHI!! YOOOOOOOOSHIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!! #BLESSED!
2. The festival is just... oh my gosh!
3. The Super Mario World athletic theme. My all time favorite so far in the game!
4. On the same topic, the main theme just got a lot more smooth.
5. The first time I experienced the Cascade Kingdom, it felt so free.
6. 4 words. Jump. Up. Super. Star. Pauline, when it comes to that song, you make me want to jump up in the air.
7. I don't know why, but it just feels like multiple moons back to back to back to back to back. Awesome.
8. When you get all 999 moons, you get that sweet Super Mario Bros. level completion music. I mean, the prize could've been something better, but still.
9. You can just flat out buy moons. That's so generous.
10. The multi moon music always made me feel so happy!

Every kingdom is from an original idea of someone who works for Nintendo (more specifically Mario franchise), they decided to put it all together in one game. I find it amazingly beautiful. And I'm 50% agreeing when you talk about the music. Even tho I grew up with the music of Link: Windwaker / Mario 64 and Sunshine, I got to admit that the music is just so well done. And I have no idea why but most of the time when I ear the Donk CIty theme song (Odyssey I guess it can be called) I just start to cry at the chorus. zero idea why xD
