Ever since the episode where Norman and Rita found the girl in the cabin, the ending credits listed,"Leigh Taylor-Young as Rachel." However, this was the first episode where she gave her name to anyone.
These episodes "in color " appear to be colorised.. It's noticeable in backgrounds which look washed out. Also some of the men's suits and hair have that "black and white" look about them
-and they met on Peyton Place. How well I remember when my Mom told me(in early 1967)that Ryan O'Neal and Leigh Taylor-Young were married. My first thought was,"He has good taste." They had a son named Patrick later on. Grandma gave me a magazine once about the Peyton Place cast and then I found out that O'Neal had been married before and had two children,Tatum and Griffin. I agree that getting away from Ryan O'Neal was the best thing ever for Leigh-and her son.:-)
I'm liking Ms. Young in this. She has a softly-vulnerable quality as Rachel, quite pretty, with especially lovely eyes. I feel sorry for her. I understand Rossi's motives but his badgering the girl about Allison is, frankly, rather heartless. Rachel's reciting the Bible from memory was impressive, the scene as a whole well-played. I'm intrigued by Peyton Place's newest-arrival and believe I'll continue to find her intriguing---the ongoing trial not-so-much. I feel I'm running out-of-steam toward it. I'm thoroughly exhausted by Hannah & Martin's repetitive banter & boring secrecy. I care about the series and its characters too much to skip-past a single-frame, and I love the addition of color & much-improved audio, but my patience is being tried. Leslie's return---and now Ms. Young's interesting importance---now may be what saves it for me. Hoping for the best, onward I plow.....!
O boy, here we go, another wackadoodle for Rossi to take home.
Who's paying Rachel's hospital bill?
Omg another mental case like Allison!
The doe eyed lovely Leigh Taylor Young!
This wild girl "RACHEL" is another ALLISON, same evasive attitude, same age & long hair before ALLISON cut off her hair.
Rachel's 1960's false eyelashes and lip gloss are ridiculous. (Especially as a hospital inpatient.)
Ms. Taylor-Young didn't need them anyway.

I had a dress similar to Betty’s in the late 60s!
This little girl would be left to the wolves in the 1960s.
They tried to replace Allison but couldn’t

No. Not colorized. Filmed in color.
The Rachel story bores me
It’s kinda funny, “Rachel” in reality was Mrs Ryan O’Neal before she was able to get away.... probably the best thing ever for her
