Awesome Steve, definitely a monster. The second mid DPU was one of my favorite locomotives, an AC4460CW, an ex AC6000, the 4460’s got a distinct tail at the end of the radiator section and a notch on the front of the radiator. Great catch👍🏼😎🇺🇸
Thundering back to Iowa most likely they tend to do this with unit coal trains both empty and loaded. Well you're moving a whole bunch of cars One Direction which is great but when this thing embarks on this journey it better be seeing nothing but green signals
Nice long unit train, too bad about the implications of growing a food crop to blend with gasoline which creates more carbon than it saves. But those midwestern corn farmers that hate the government sure do love their ethanol.
It is criminal. Not even really a food crop. Dent corn is very different and unpalatable compared to the sweet corn we are accustomed to eating. Dent corn does go to livestock feed but isn't even healthy for the animals long term. They're probably grateful to be slaughtered. Growing corn is also water and fertilizer intensive. Ethanol is GREAT for the environment. 😂😂😂
Recently it was approved for long-term year-round usage plastic growing corn is tough on the soil but now looking at agricultural shows there is no heavy Demand on the books and even bagging this and sending it abroad as food for peace isn't a big humanitarian effort. Yes the water consumption is very bad also especially Nebraska Kansas where was the requires irrigation draining the wells. Don't forget the Maine chickens get plumped up with this @@woodnewf3847
Long train indeed! Many more matte & patinated tanks than shiny new ones. Gorgeous day in a strikingly appealing setting!
It truly was a gorgeous day

Looks like they just stitched 2 corn welfare trains together. A very long train but you have definitely filmed a few that were longer.
