Those were actually really good analogies of how not to scare the customers away and to get good sales technique. I help my wife with her business with sales and estimates and I am still learning customer service.
@@The360Electrician Yeah, I worked for MS in 2006 and 2007 . We attended classes every Thursday and weekend seminars. I worked out of the Atlanta branch with Patrick Kennedy . Back then it was a great place to work , I learned a lot! Great channel you have here.
My fiancé is a electrician. I am new to the business. He asked me to write up a contract. Thank You 360!!! 🤗!! You gave me my Needing . “You Are The Man”. Thank You Ms Greenville, Mississippi
Hey Nixon89, sorry for the late reply but I sure will make more. Keep an eye out for my sales E-book for electrical contractors. Trying to get it out soon. Thanks for the Sub!
Thank you. Wasn't feeling good about the business jargon. I'm too nice they say. You gave me a clear friendly way to express the business side of things.
Yes, rethoric is always key. Those are great tips thank you. Im a second year apprentice electrician and thats the way my Jman is teaching me how to do it.
Right on! The better you get at sales the more successful you will be once you are on your own. Even if you decide to stay with a company sales is the only way to unlimited pay.
Hit the bell button. U have a video out tonight for you to ask questions. I love sales, but I learned it just like learning to bend conduit. Practice practice practice!
Nice Video Sir, Could you instead say you would be looking at x amount of dollars without saying investement or should you always use investment no matter what the job is? Thanks for the informative tips. Implementing
Thanks for the question Josh. You can change it up any way you think sells the job. I always read the customer and saying investment to the wrong customer can mean you loose them.
Thanks for asking. The way i would approach it is simple. Depending on the scope of work or the value you are giving you shouldn't have to much pushback when you need to charge 7k for a day's work. I've done it many many times. There are usually only 4 reasons a customers will say no. Knowing how to answer each and close is the challenge. BTW why is a doctors outpatient procedure 7k and we don't question it? Or a hotel room that costs 1k a night? It's because of the precived or actual value we are getting from those things. Same applies here you need to base pricing on a set system but have room to charge more when the value is there. These are some of the items we go over in coaching if intrested.
Agreed, you should always be sensitive to your audience. Know what works for you. It's not for everyone but I see too many electricians sell themselves short. Closing sales is one of the most important talents you can have as an independent contractor. Not following up with service and quality is what makes you pretentious.
@@The360Electrician I appreciate you touching on important topics like sales that most ignore. Maybe things are just different here in Australia. If any tradesman ever used the word "analyse" or "investment", I would immediately think something is up and they are trying to sell me something! And my trust levels would go down. But it has got me thinking about the psychology behind words like this.

Sounds like the sales classes I attended with Mr Sparky . Always used home investment , and never say the word fire.
Good points, classes with Mr Sparky on YT? Didn't know he had classes.

"Agreement" is preferable to "Contract" or a vague term like "Paperwork" Agree has a positive connotation.

Thanks for the quick reply
So what is the paperwork/ contract that you get your clients to approve?
Work order and proposal that has what we are doing how much and all the legal mumbo jumbo.
@@The360Electrician would you consider linking to a generic copy of this paperwork?
I need contract templates any advice where to get them
What if they ask why 1 day of work will cost 7 grand ?
