The thing about Soul Reaper is that it's a localization of Shinigami because honestly a lot of 2000s english speaking kids would have needed the concept of a shinigami explained to them, but Shinigami is just a word anyone in Japan would know, this is similar to if your sister came into your room and said "I know you're a ghost." it would be weird but you wouldn't be confused by her knowing what a ghost is.
It's kinda like how Zanpaktou was translated as "Soul Cutter" or something like that. I remember reading the manga or something and seeing it translated and thinking "wtf? Just say Zanpaktou"
Not really, Shinigami is better translated as god of death, even if a Japanese kid understood the meaning of the term its not just something everyone would know on sight. If you see a spirit most people wouldn't immediately jump to this must be a god unless you know what one should look like

The censorship in the Bleach anime is crazy, pretty much anytime someone is injured it's probably a lot worse than it's showing, like in the scene where Yammy smacks Chad, he destroyed his whole arm.
Not sure if you noticed, but Ulquiorra and Yammy's introduction is a reference to Vegeta and Nappa's arrival in the DBZ Saiyan saga.
I'm mad I noticed only after editing the episode 💀

The term Shinigami is very well known in Japanese culture. It wouldn't take much for a Japanese native to connect the dots if they saw someone sending spirits to the afterlife. That's why it's localized as Soul Reaper in english since that gets the idea across better than the literal translation of god of death.

Hope you remember what is said about Orihime's powers since I'm really tired of correcting fans when they insist on calling it healing even after it is fully explained in a later episode. I'll give you a hint, what her powers do has already been revealed just not explicitly stated. Time Reversal or Space Reversal was merely a reasonable hypothesis and I neither confirm nor deny if Ulquiorra is correct or not just that it's merely a hypothesis.
Remember this, with the exception of one flashback arc Kubo never utilizes omniscient narrator. Every character in this series is an unreliable narrator to different degrees.
Honestly, if someone is a long time fan of Bleach and calls Orihime's powers healing, then either they're just referring to her patching people up and don't want to get into it or they are bad at retaining information or paying attention.

Idk if its cause tite kubo didnt have a hollow form for ulq ready or finalized but they show a silhouette of a hollow thats suppose to look like him pre arrancar but replace it later for the data book. Always fun to see retcons and idea changes, like soul reapers only being hurt by zanpakuto being retconned real fast. Not aging when dead? Yeeted. Soul society being peaceful? Destroyed that idea.

@@marcelyuzuki6376 its shown even a random rock will hurt a soul reaper, their bodies are the same as everything else. But they tried to say that only zanpakuto could hurt them when urahara was training ichigo but got rid of it real quick.
@@Jzwiz no they are spirituelle beings and only spirituelle beings or objects with spirituelle Energie can hurt them.
What you mean was that Ichigo belived Urahara can't hurt him because he was attacking with a normal sword and Urahara showed Ichigo it was a zanpakuto.
It was never mention only a zanpakuto can hurt them we saw Hollows can hurt them from Episode 1.
@@marcelyuzuki6376 its shown non spiritual items can hurt soul reapers etc multiple times, if they couldnt then tripping over a rock or hitting a building would do nothing yet we see it happen in the world of the living. We see literal chunks of rock being thrown to hurt them. They dont just phase through stuff and not all of them are strong enough to block every day objects

Its actually good I'm rewatching it rn. It really does a good job to connect the characters and how they interact better and gives a better feeling that Aizen has been able to plot and set things up. But i don't think its a good idea for reactors

@Meepie_Playz how? sakutrash at least defeated sasori, healed Naruto countless times. Oehime has done nothing remotely helpful besides moving the story forward.
