Great job on the summary, awesome content for someone who doesn’t follow club volleyball in europe. Excited to see Loeppky, guy has an insane arm swing.
Agree that Japan is overrated in public , but I considered that Italy may not be so high level due to many top Italian players not in the national team.
I hope one of their young guys comes out and impresses, just hard to keep tabs on their prospects as a lot are playing pro in smaller leagues or not at all (this year especially)
They are really good recieving and serving, but they are too lacking in other aspects, mainly because of their lack of height, having guys like nishida and ishikawa might be great when it's time to do a highlight tape but a 6'7/6'8 atheltic dude spiking with the right timing gets you about the same or even better value, guys like the brazilian hitters or wilfredo leon are great examples, in the end it comes down to the fact that japan loses a lot of net battles during the game and it always ends up making them pay
If you look at Japan's latest international results, 11th is not far off their usual level. 10th at vnl 2019, 12th in vnl 2018. 17th in world championships 2018. Played in World league group 2 always. If anything the world cup is the anomaly as I mentioned. If Takahashi can join Ishikawa and Nishida as an elite wing then that will help but for me their ceiling will always be lower due to their blocking difficulties and lack of dynamic middles.
@@matteo-3672 well, considering that argentina has been struck with covid and canada will have trouble picking which pieces they want to use japan could very well jump ahead of them, the height factor will always be an issue so that's why having players like nishida who don't get bothered by that when spiking is key, there's a bunch of young guys like kenta takanashi or ostuka tatsunori who could fill in for yanagida but I think that they are going to give the spot to ran, he's basically an ishikawa regen, very good recieving and relfexes with absurd agility, a lot of spiking ability and he has the potential to be one of the best japanese players ever, still, he's very young so who knows how he will do against the best in the world, but if he performs and nishida recovers well, then they might upset a couple of teams ranked higher than them. But the main problem with japan are the middle blockers ( both their height and their speed).
Depends on the year and team. Some try hard but you will see different lineups than the World Championships and Olympics. More young players and different strategies tested
Denis kariagin from bulgaria is the next kazyski. I'm from bulgaria and i watch his game he is 19 years old great future for him. He plays at neftohimik like kazyski. He will be great wing spiker
Could see them finishing there for sure. Not a fan of Van Garderen but Ter Mat is underrated due to Nimir. If they had a more reliable setter I would feel better putting them higher.
i think japan should be higher just because not only is nishida super young and has a lot of potential but also because considering everyone there isn’t 6’5, they play better then most teams with giants
They are super talented and fun to watch for sure, but if they can't put opponents out of system with their serve then teams side out too easily against them due to the block.
Depending on the upper 8 times i honestly can see why Japan is on the below 8 but I honestly think japan can popoff like they did in the world cup even if the environment was made for them seeing how they almost got into a tie breaker match with brazil.
He is the best content creator of volleyball

I love how Dan’s wearing a Dutch jersey to celebrate the Nederlands showing up for this year’s VNL even if they’re ranked lowest in his list. Cuteeeee
Very informative. Thank you for this🤗👏💙
this content is amazing!
This is just so good

7:17 I wouldn't be surprised if one of the big VB highlight channels actually put that as a title

Where do you get your volleyball stats and news?
Lets go Ran! Hope they will do better than 11. place! 🤞
日本人でネイションズリーグの詳しい情報を載せてる人いないからすごい参考になる。全部英語が理解できないからちょっとわかんないところもあるけどありがたい笑笑
Nice video mate I hope Australia proves you wrong but I have my doubts
I hope one of their young guys comes out and impresses, just hard to keep tabs on their prospects as a lot are playing pro in smaller leagues or not at all (this year especially)
why is Japan so low? id actually be interested in an explanation im new to volleyball

@@oriollluchjulia well yeah But arent they still better than canada or argentina this year?

Still struggling on who to support because of how many french, polish and american players I like
Is the VNL a top tier tournament? Or is it more of a tournament for rookies to get some more experience?
top tier

Where did you buy this dutch jersey? I want some of these
They were selling them in the venue in Amsterdam at EuroVolley 2019
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 Brazil 🇧🇷 the best ever

He played already today, good call! I'll keep an eye on him
i have question, since challenger cup is postponed how will the teams which are upgrading to vnl decided for the next year?
China will get back their spot from The Netherlands next year. No relegation or upgraded until the year after.
I think the netherlands is underrated maarten van garderen and Wouter ter Maat had both an sick season in turkey Ziraat i would place them 13

SERBIA NUMBER 1!
canada better than japan
argentina better than japan
canada better than germany
canada better than bulgaria
correct
Nishida is overrated
why do you think that
