Poor Sylv doesn't look comfortable at all in either segment. On the other hand, not bad questions from the kids (eg. would you like to swap JNT so the show can get back to being darker). Even the pre-teens were sick of the Season24 pantomime. Hope they stuck around for S26 to see how good it became later.

He doesn't look uncomfortable and season 24 amounts to what? 4 stories, its not a big deal, it wasn't even that bad

Didn't comment on the stories themselves (I didn't mind most of them), but the problems still stand - with the premature firing of C.Baker and no writing done to fill the gaps with the hastily placed new Doctor, the episodes were scatty (writing wise, as expected) and at their cheapest look in the entirety of the show - and I say that as a 7th Doctor fan (he's my Doc, hence I'm here). That was more than enough for some of the longer-term fans to finally throw in the towel after such a long downward spiral. And yes, having watched the whole thing (compared to how he is in other interviews or situations), it seems pretty clear he's not at max-comfort - and who would be when surrounded by barely clothed children / pre-teens? (Yes, times were different back then - I am an 80's kid myself - but I still doubt that any adult of sound mind wouldn't really be completely comfortable doing long, drawn out and fully clothed interviews next to mostly naked youngsters at a kids swimming pool). It is a credit to him, not a negative.

Sorry I misjudged you, McCoy's my favourite too, I didn't think you were trying to discredit him. But you did say 'pantomime' and 'even the pre-teens were sick of it', implying that that was your opinion too, but never mind. However I think the cheapest looking season award has to go to season 23, personally I think season 24 looks much better (but obviously not the best). Its weird because season 22 is one of the glossiest classic seasons. Okay I'm rambling now. But anyway, yes of course the interview set up is a bit weird these days.

The amount of speedo clad children in this clip is bizarre looking at this with 2017 glasses. You're not allowed to bring your phone or take photos of your own children at swimming baths now, let alone the safeguarding minefield of all the kids being filmed in the background.

Why are speedo-clad young people standing behind them?

Because we innocently thought there was nothing wrong with it back then.
