I love these FCX24 videos, and Furitek are absolutely killing it, I'm betting those extended links won't be in stock often. Small tip for anyone that doesn't want to change out plastic parts on the axles, if you strip out the plastic you can drop some CA in the hole and run your screw down. It doesn't matter if it doesn't tighten at first just run the screw down and let the CA dry, it will lock the screw in and form new threads.
Damn Matt! Ask and you shall receive! That's awesome. Once I'm back on the new build bandwagon, that Cayman with the XL links will be at the top of my list!
Nice driving guys, yeah I want one of those new chassis but I’m waiting for the monster truck one first. Appreciate you sharing look like you and your father-in-law had a great time cool that’s the beauty of this awesome Hobby yeah I love it
I recently did the treal axles for fcx24 so far I love them just got them few days ago they are nice look good and little extra weight and you get more precise screw points.
Thanks for the awesome update on the Cayman. love to get one but way to much to have one shipped to canada, hard enough finding the motors and ESC's. cheers!! keep the content coming.
as much as i love the big beefy tires with really aggressive tread like the baja pro x, they dont do that well on rocks. they slip around on those large lugs and you dont get traction consistently. however they are undisputedly better in mud and loose dirt or sand. i switched back to mt/r's, but id like to try those boom tires. that pattern looks ideal.
Awesome crawling! Those links are an improvement but I'm still waiting for high clearance. Till then I'm making custom linkage and flex blade style shock mounts. Converting some injora deadbolt rear links to fit the FCX24.
Yeah I really like making my own also. I can put whatever bend I want on them that way. Not sure why no1 is offering good high clearance links for the fcx24. The brass ones from fairrc I was running are nice but they are a bit stiff in the ball studs and are stock length so the rears are pretty useless to me.
I’m hoping to get some decent time with them tomorrow. I only have the aggressor, hustle and max grapplers. I bought these and I actually just got an email from them asking if I’d wanna try some out. I’m gonna try to get them to send me some of the TPDs since I didn’t get those.
The black hair ties are 1/5 the cost and they stretch better/not so tight. They don’t last super long before deteriorating. Really wanted to see those tires! Need to order some, or maybe I’ll wait. Thanks for Guinea pigging! Btw, you still want to run a chassis? Should have them all built today and I’ll start sanding. If you want one, I can send it out in the next couple days.
I get attraction to 1/24 for indoor / train type constructed courses but 1/18 is my sweet spot. I have 2 older Losi Mini Rock Crawlers and they require patience and a lot flippin over to run rocks. Even in my up/mid class area it has gotten real bad with cops/ calls. RC cars in Sunday/empty parking lots. Nope.. Last 2X me/nephew had "armed intervention." Flying yard sized quadcopters = "calls you were spying and taking pictures." RIP USA's days of free fishin, huntin and playin.
Finally someone woke up and made cool Links. Good Bye Mc Cue Garbage... I ordered it instantly with a Grasshopper Frame 2FM Rc Style. I like the look and the Titan, hope it's not much heavier than the Carbon Version. It was a hard Decision... 😂Can't wait until it's here...!
When you installed extended links on the cayman what size gladiator driveshaft did you use? I researching and I noticed there's different size ones for the gladiator.
if i want to use my rcawd or treal upper links for the FCX24 conversion, how do i go about it? the upper links are threaded on one side. i really dont want to drill out a CF chassis to put the sleeves back in.
They are extremely soft tires. The stock foams are too soft also so I’m using Flubberstufferz which give great support but don’t fully fill the tire up so the sidewall looks all wrinkled lol
I got the barebones kit and it didn't come with drive shafts. After pointing out their error, they updated the description and picture to say its not included. They are gonna send me the driveshafts but furitek cant ship to my area, furitekusa can ship to me but they are on preorder. This kit sucks anyways, has poor flex with the stock shocks. Can this be converted to a max smasher?
cayman servo just died. and i am looking around and i am thinking to get nsdrc rs100 micro servo but i cant find the right mount for it. would it fit on the cayman? or should i go ogrc servo with its mount? or reefs micro? i am not sure whats the right fit
looked nice I've been waiting for this vid only bad thing i saw is that the wife's found a trap for you two because now it'll be you guys asking them do you want to go shopping
You could swap the skid with the one for the grasshopper and probably be good or if you don’t have the cayman yet just go with this chassis setup. It’s made for the fcx24 transmission. bit.ly/3SihPZt
I wish their customer service also extended to more than just their UA-cam influencers. I purchased the Cayman kit 12 days ago and have requested any type of shipping info 3 times already and have received no return emails from them. I'll wait till the 20 days without shipping notice and then just have Paypal cancel the purchase.
It should be shipped now. I thought they were pretty clear on the product page that it was on pre-order and planned ship date was October 15th. On social media they said there would be a short delay. Mine shipped today!
I bought mine a week ago on the 12th and it said in stock but still hasn't shipped I was expecting the 15th like the media page said but I guess I'll just have to continue to wait.
I got angry at furitek once but that's the price of shipping and yes was forced to pay 3-5 day shipping (I thought impossible from Singapore to Australia)took 4weeks. Still same problem on the site now But I found Tony from furitek to be good at communicating
@@JacobScherer When I purchased I could swear it said "in stock". It currently does state that on their page. I realize ship times are long, but the lack of response is what I was most concerned about.
I love my FCX24 but they look way too short out of the box with the stock body, and they definitely handle much better with the rear extended. I'm not even that into crawling and love the difference extending the rear made.
Matt thanks for emailing me this video link. Great crawl footage. Much appreciated! 👍🏼

Really appreciate that 🤘
Yeah they look super soft for sure, my next part I want to get that transmission with the motor yeah
Great slowmo recover 😆
Thanks for that shock mod sir I never thought of trying that 👍

Any update on the TPd black 59s? I’m itching to order I just don’t want to be disappointed like I was with the lgrp grippers.

Please tell FMS to sell the 6x6 Cayman frame by itself for custom builds!

Nice crawlin Great video!!!
Love it looks beasty now.
Would it work on the stock chassis?
Is the cliffhanger the best body for these? Santa came early this year and I got a Cayman today. Just need a body
I picked this thing up I really like it but overdrive would be nice. Do you think the hot racing Scx24 overdrive transmission would work in this?
Sickness 🔥⛽️👌💯👊
I was about to order these but damn 29.99 for shipping is crazy. Hopefully the U.S site gets them soon.
Wow! Yeah no way I could pay that lol. I’d say they’ll be on the US site soon.

Whats up with the sidewalls of the tires on this rig?
They don’t look like normal sidewalls.
