I have one just like that and I've had it for years and I consider a good investment
Where did you put the orange breather screw at the front or on top
I've got one of these the same. Keep the guide low to the v wheel so the wire goes through the guide then has to go up over the v and wire be pushed kind of up ward's towards the knife. Hope this helps. It will will do those small wires you had there.
Thanks I will try that for sure
I have the same machine and find it very handy. This is a good machine for those looking to make the initial jump into a machine driven stripper. It certainly has some weaknesses and take some getting use to. You'll find that placement of the safety guard/guide and proper adjustment of the knife setting go a long way to making this useful. Not too expensive but has some draw backs as you noted. As you noted, it's best to strip batches of wire/cable that are the same type so you don't have to keep fiddling with the adjustments.
Ya you are right try and do batch of same type of wire
That's a good investment my friend... I have the same machine and I have to say that it works fine for the most wires...
Best thing you can buy don't no what I'd do without mine they save alot of time
Ya just need to get enough wire to make it worth while
@@ScrappingIrish will soon pay for itself over time great to have
Ya both. Tempting me
if you have hundrets of kilo or tons of cable to strip per year, its absolutely worth it. but man 200bucks for an electric stripper is a great deal if the motor has enough power
I think a proper use for the gloves would be slapping @ian matthews and challenging him to a duel.
Hold the wire down lower so the V of the lower roller guides it to the center.
Thanks, I'm not getting one
your blade don't look centered
Two main things when the wire jumps off to the side. You need to make sure the wire is as straight as you can get it. Bends in the wire will make it go off track. Also, you may have to adjust your guide wheels to make sure the center of them are dead set center on your cutting wheel. It will take some getting used to, but once you learn how your machine works and feels, it will become second nature.
Also, you are overtightening the blade. It just needs to penetrate the sheathing. If it gets into the copper too much, it will just roll off to the side.
Thanks for the advice much appreciated
Have Fun!!
All the wire I picked up should really test it out 😆
great video they are handy to have if you have the quanity!
Totally agree!
Just thinking, I'm sure I watched a video a while back by Thubprint when he got a wire stripper. Have a look as he would have set it up to test it, you might get some tips 👍
Cheers sir
cut out a new template from wood/plastic with the diameter of the wire hole ever so slightly larger.
no advices from me cause you anyway will say im complaining.... just do it "the Irish way"... cool toy tough
Hi Rafal, do you strip your wire or do you just sell it to the scrap yard? The prices of cable at my yard are so good it makes it not worth stripping.
@@Wreck-Gar yeah i strip some but not all of them sometimes i even buy the big thick cables from scrapyard for strip ... cheers
@@RafalScrapper That's a good idea! I might ask mine if I can buy some when I am there, although I might already know the answer.... NO!!! 😄
@@Wreck-Gar it not gonna hurt if you ask i guess ... i did find out if you have wire with around 10mm thick it is from 40 -60 % income on transaction depend of kind of cable of course ... it is good money in them but they got to be thick and you got to have time for it cause there is a bit work with them cheers and good luck
27.00,put on the plate...there´s a reason its there.ofc it wont cut properly
Only had it off so I could show how the blade sits on the wire, I think I said that in the video but I may not have
4th!!! (This isn't how it works is it?) 😄
