That is something we will do in the future. We want to add a dialog box to set preferences and this would be one of the preferences. We do calculate with incredible fidelity but would like to limit what is displayed based on user preference.
@@ProjectLibreCloud Users have been requesting Date without Time format for at least 8 years. I second this request. Seems like it should be easy enough to toggle off the hours/minutes display without having to rework the software. What gives?
The team works very hard and are not compensated but committed to providing free project management software for the world. We are not funded so have constraints but glad we added this feature.
Thanks! usability improvements are always good. I notice that Date format set for norway is wrong . How can I collaborate with ProjectLibre setting Norway date format right?
Thanks for the currency up date it is fantastic! I am noticing that the date format for most EU countries to get Euros as currency is in correct MM/DD/YR. Do you have an EU country with DD/MM/YY format? Also I seem to be getting EUR instead of the € symbol in front of my values
You can change both the language and also the country. It defaults to the country standard. This is linked to a 3rd party library so it is not ProjectLibre setting. You can search which country has dd/mm/yy and set the country to that and language to your choice.
@@tahoeob Thanks for the quick reply, all of the EU officially uses DD/MM/YY under the ISO standard. So was wandering why the EU countries were coming up with the different date style when I try to use one to get Euro in the currency. To check if the date format was giving an issue I used Australia and NewZealand, the date format is correct for those countries showing DD/MM/YY.
@@tahoeob Selecting language en and country Germany, still gives incorrect date format. Changing country to Austria also does the same error. On setting language as uk and Country as Germany or Austria, displays the system in Russian... A bug???
Thanks Wolf, we are integrated with a 3rd party library. We will check with them as that does seem like a bug. We will test and if a problem request they update their system.
Thank you for the message. We use a 3rd party library to integrate into ProjectLibre. We have sent a message to get corrected. Your workaround is to find a country with the correct date format en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format_by_country However, language and currency may also be affected so there would be a number of considerations.
Good morning, since few weeks I am trying to use this version on Macbook pro M1. I don't have a good user experience due to many lags especially scrolling the pages and during the input phases. The user experience on Win10 is better. Do you have had any troblues using Macos version?
Good morning ... I use it on my Macbook pro and don't have a problem but we do have issues with scrolling. Our spreadsheet in general needs to be ripped/replaced with new technology. It is not a near term fix. Thank you for your message!
Yes, that should be changed... thank you and will change in the blog but unfortunately not on the video. It was a typo that took the i from another language which was missing..... fixed and appreciated!
I do not want the time to be visible in the start date/end date... and have only the dates - DD/MM/YY format.
How can I do that?

Thank god there is finally and intuitive option to change the language, it was absolutely nonsense before

Hello Julian, I tested and if you select the Language "Fi" and Country (Finland) the date format is correct as DD/MM/YR

I tried to change the language and country to get DD/MM/YY format, but I save it and relaunch ProjectLibre and no changes are applied.
Language english, country Malaysia, but the time format is MM/DD/YYYY which is incorrect. is there any way to change it to DD/MM/YYYY instead?

There is a lack of Polish language (ISO 639 code = PL)
Brakuje języka Polskiego (ISO 639 code = PL)
can we use English but change the date format instead to dd/mm/yy
Yes, you can select a country that follows the dd/mm/yy date convention and English
