On the subject of recording cartridge identifiers, many issued notepads have a section in the front for serial #'s of sidearm, handcuffs, OC, etc.
I wouldn't know I buy mine from Walgreens. I keep all that in my Calander.
free field training : Ah. Local department here issues notepads which remain the property of the city and are turned in when full, then archived forever.
I just found those prongs and wire in my yard.. around my apt .. I tripped on it and it was wrapped around my foot.. not to cool that the police left here..I have a 7 year old and dogs
Hi
Since due to cost most departments issue 3 cartridges. I taught guys to just keep the serial numbers written on a piece of paper. Quick look you know the number missing for reports.
NEVER use personal phones on duty for pics or the like. Had an officer get some “personal” photos admitted in a lawsuit. Won the suit but cost him a fortune in the divorce.
I've never been issued more than 2 at a time. And even then we are only supposed to get one where I'm at. Talk about cost eh?
I'm to old for that crazy stuff. Besides criminals are like Somalian drug addicts. You probably got to shoot them 10 times before they know there dead.
I want to be a cop 👮♀️ I can’t because of Covid 19
Hmm, that's strange. The first thing that I was taught in the police academy was that you as (an officer) should never remove the prongs from the suspect yourself, but rather only trained medical hospital staff /paramedic/fire fighter or EMT personnel should be the ones to remove the prongs from the suspect's body when being treated/evaluated. Damn, I guess that's what I get for standing up in the back of the academy class room with a bottle of water trying to stay awake. I missed this part.
Might be a policy difference where you work or case law in your state.
How do u see the number
How do you update them
what taser is that
M18
Do you guys book the used cartridge into evidence or toss it? Are you required to have paramedics remove the probe?
Just got a used X26C when I put the battery in instead of getting the battery life on the display it just says E2. Just wondering what that means.

Just got Taser training this weekend and we didn't discuss this.
For carrying your taser on a duty belt do you recommend cross draw with your strong hand or support hand draw? I'm considering switching to support hand draw
I'm currently cross drawing
I carry x26 on a weak side thigh rig.
Hi
Ah i missed it.
If used on a person..
Call sarge, start use of force report, upload body worn camera footage, tag footage, get a paid day off 😅
You get a paid day off for tasing someone?! That's astounding!
free field training ok maybe I lied..but I get to stay home for a day 😅🤣
Wow I missed it again! Good video, Tommy
🔥👩
Thanks!

How do you feel about the supreme court case about tasers, some agencies have removed them all together.
You mean the use of a taser on a schizophrenic guy who was no danger to anyone and was a passive resister? Who is taking tasers away because of that? If they are that is stupid.
free field training it apparently came up as the validity of their non-lethal capabilities in regards to the use of force wheel. So agencies have removed them until the case is resolved. Like the university police here, I know a few small towns arent carrying them. From a legal standpoint I get it, but homestly its stupid. Especially if you look at it from a agencies legitimacys point of view. Like you remove something that in the public's eye is a very safe alternative use of force to be replaced with literally nothing. So I think if the media gets wind of it itll explode into a certified shut storm
That case is settled, it is done. The force was excessive. That shouldn't be a huge shock to anyone. They tased a dude five times because they needed him to go to the hospital and he was holding a fire hydrant refusing to go. I've said for quite some time the taser is analogous to a baton, not pepper spray.
