I don't care what people say about this game. Connor is a savage killing machine. If you analyze his story more carefully you would realise that it's sadder than Ezio's. After the game ends you've got only the homestead people, not even your tribe, not even your mentor... This is the only game in the series that I've finished twice.

Connor in assassin's creed 3 don't actually choose a side a lot of people think he is a Patriot but he isn't he is using washington as a key to killing his targets and eventually getting to Charles Lee that is why in the first trailer the soldier tells connor to "hold you" before putting his hand on Connor. Connor seems to support the Patriots cause but not fully I think that is why after you beat the game you are able to kill American troops

My favorite ac is definitely ac 3 :D i like connor like ezio or altair, i remember playing ac3 on my xbox 360 good old days :') that was amazing experience. A few mounth ago i buy ac 3 remastered, i finish it and i still think ac 3 is the best part of the series maybe because of nostalgia but i dont really know. (Because connor is bad ass ;) )

This was the first assassin's Creed I played and I can say with confidence it's still my favorite
Personally, I think Black Flag is the best iteration but it's an each to their own thing.
