@@travelberries3 John Rylands Library would possibly be my No 1 pick, it is pretty much unique and loses nothing compared to anything in London, Oxford or Cambridge. There is more than enough to do a second edition, starting with the re-furbished Town Hall which has been closed for about six years for restoration; it was due to re-open in 2024, but this has been put back due to delays caused when work stopped during Covid. Other Manchester ‘must’s’ from my list include: - National Football Museum - Corn Exchange - Spinningfields - Chethams Library - Royal Exchange - Central Library - Forsyth’s Music shop - Whitworth Gallery - Etihad and Old Trafford football stadium tours - The Lowry - Media City area (including Coronation Street tour) - Midland Hotel - Manchester Central
@@elaineblackhurst1509 Wow! Thank you so much for the suggestions. I agree there is so much to do and will definitely do another video next time we have a chance to go. Hopefully the town hall will be open next visit too 🤞🤞.
@@travelberries3 Yes, wait until the Town Hall re-opens. It is a Grade 1 listed building, and when built (1868-77), the brief was essentially to build a better one than anywhere else pretty much regardless of cost, which was what they did; it is quite simply one of the greatest examples of Neo-Gothic architecture in the UK. We visited just before it was closed to the public in 2018, but rather like the Houses of Parliament, it was clearly in need of the very costly restoration which is currently on-going.

Technically Salford isn't part of Manchester. It is a separate city.

Salford is not part, nor “in” Manchester!
Apologies, thanks for bringing it to my attention 😊, I have changed the title to “things to do in and around Manchester”. Thanks for watching ☺️
Best city in UK by far!!
We think so too ☺️, what’s your favourite thing to do there?
And thanks for watching 🙏☺️
