Holy crapalini!... After watching a marathon of these videos, I have to wonder if there's some rule that the announcer absitively posilutely must use the term "get his money's worth" every single god damn friggin time there's an ejection...
I dont agree with the you can't come out after a review. I'm not saying arguing the results of the replay but I feel both managers deserve an explanation. I also don't agree with umpires being aloud to put their hands on a player.
Other than to push a player away from another umpire to stop them from getting an automatic suspension when have you seen an umpire touch a player or coach? Like maybe 3 times
I remember that Toronto vs KC day, Jim Wolf 100% was in the wrong for not ejecting the pitcher in the Donaldson AB. MLB should have disciplined that entire crew for that nonsense.
A lot of umpires also position themselves poorly before the pitch, so they get a poor angle of the ball crossing the plate often times. I'm surprised this isn't worked on more in umpiring school or the minors. Pat Hoberg on the other hand is one of the few umpires who positions himself well to see the pitch, and go figure he's probably the most accurate home plate umpire in MLB.
The BS of slamming your bat or helmet in frustration and getting kicked out for it is annoying. The ump can't determine for certain if the batter is frustrated with the ump or themselves.
They got there for a reason. It’s called the slot mechanic and they can see most pitches that way. Most umpires get around 98-96% of calls correct. They are human and will make errors.
First thing Cervelli needs to say to the umpire at 9:20 is "Don't touch me." That's the kind of thing that makes angry players angrier and makes them go after multiple umpires. Gary Cederstrom at 40:00 gets it right.
@@russellbrooker2122 Agreed, but you can do that without raising hands to the player. In the end, controlling the player is not the responsibility of the umpire, but rather his manager.

There's a famous Jim Leyland ejection where the home plate umpire put hish hand on the back of Magglio Ordonez to sort of nudge him along off the field which prompted Leyland to come screaming out of the dugout. The broadcasters made this same point. "If you dont want players touching you then you shouldnt be touching players."

If the Umpires don't want players toughing them, they should not be allowed to touch players, especially in the COVID era.

How did that Donaldson at bat end? It got cut off?
Grounded out
With an MVP award
The bullpen saw it..they said it hit the ground by the gestures..
Why did the umpire signal safe in the Joe Maddon clip circa 11:45?
He was telling him what NY office said “they called him safe” is what he was saying. Then Maddon came out to argue to call and got ejected.
48:41 Trevor Plouffe sighting
Why was there such a protest by Melancon? Seemed pretty clear to me that he plunked the batter intentionally. That ball was up and in.
you are not going to deliberately hit a batter in the 9th inning to bring the tying run up to the plate. That would be foolish.
