Never really liked how they rotate black people on this show. Traded Simone for Martine, Zach for Mitchell, then Mitchell & Lisa for Toby & Celeste, Walter for Pearl, Toby for Demarcus & Celeste for Zoe. Makes that black episode look like bs. Really liked Kelle Bryan & this character- too bad they didn't write for her well.
I think many problems are bc many of those black actors on Hollyoaks wanted to leave due to subtle racism on the set back then. It's ashamed that Martine left as she was a solid black female character who wasn't portrayed as the typical black female character. Yes, that episode back in September of the last year has now been null and void as many of those black actors left since then.
Well it's what happens when you have diversity mandates.
Instead of just having good story telling mandates.

I can't believe she's leaving 😢 but I do understand. I just hate the fact that she's only focused on Toby. It's almost as if Mitchell is forgotten 😔

After what Toby did to Mitchell and murdering his own cousin Lisa Martine is still putting him first ig it’s true a mothers love never fades but Martine will always feel guilty about not been in his and Celeste’s life and she believes Toby is the way he is because of her.
It’s just sad that her and Felix have to break up after everything they’ve been though
I'm so sorry Kelle is leaving. Martine will be greatly missed! She's tackled such important issues and lost a lot. I hope to see her back in the village sometime in the future!

@@ChelseyLinden Yes! I agree with you, Chels! Grace and Felix getting back together would be a big betrayal. I also wouldn't like to see Felix moving on with anyone else because Martine is his soulmate.

OA also after hearing Felix saying “We used to climb mountains together” reminded me of this quote. 😔 “You try to climb a mountain, some People are gonna fall off.” And when hearing Celeste’s name again and her being dead reminded of this quote from Sense8. 😭💔 “Death doesn’t let you say goodbye. It just carves holes in your life, in your future, in your heart.”

How about y’all talk about mending your damaged relationships with Mitchell? Toby is in prison for murdering his cousin because he meant to kill his brother! You can’t help Toby while he is in prison! Leaving your husband for what?! This is madness! They do have a chance but she rather be close to Toby and not be happy? I wish Walter would have talked some sense in her but I’m sure he’s already stressed out enough and she’s a grown woman and there’s no point in arguing with her. I hope Felix finds Mitchell and hopefully they can mend things. I do think that Felix has grown a lot. When is Walter coming back? He still needs a kidney.

Agree 100% this is the most stupid reason to leave a husband and have the nerve to say they never had a chance to have a good love story. They did have a redemptive love story and now she’s throwing it all away.

I'm surprised that Martine actaully left the show, absolutely heartbreaking for Felix when he fought so hard to get back with her. Luke we already known for awhile that he's on his last days on the show. I don't get why Martine prioritising Toby whose messed up killer than Mitchell who got fucked over by Toby forcing him to leave the village.

All the actors are leaving so suddenly. Guess they can see the show is going downhill too.
Toby should've been the one to die not Celeste
1. Toby killed Lisa
2. Driven Mitchell away to never be seen again
3. Toby always causing more harm then good to the extent that he practically got Celeste killed and made her do his bidding and basically broke up his own parents Felix and Martine after 26 years apart
4. Celeste was deffo wayy more interesting and intriguing to get know then Toby was for sureee tbh
So now there's nothing keeping Felix there, got a feeling Richard Blackwood will also leave sooner or later!

Oh my OA this is so unfair and so unexpected I don’t like it it’s really sad! OA I cried when I saw #Melix kiss for the last time even the music in the background was so sad I’m gonna miss those two! And where in the name of The OA is Walter btw? OA he’s been off screen for Months I really wish he was there to say goodbye to his own Daughter. OA I really like Pearl and her Friendship with Scott but I also like Felix’s Friendship with Scott as well. OA I just hope Felix won’t sleep with Grace or Pearl though I really am also hoping Martine won’t be leaving the opening titles as well! OA Martine was one of the best character’s in the village even her Friendship with Grace was amazing and all it reminded me of Marnie and Misbah’s Friendship. OA I really hope the actress Kelly Bryan will come back to the show permanently one of these Days I miss her already. What do you guys think???? 🤔
