- I'm at LDI in Las Vegas this weekend enjoying everything the conference has to offer. This timecoded laser demonstration by ER Productions featured over 300 laser projectors, setting the Guinness World Record for largest laser show.

@@Jacob-ic8nb FFA : Federal Aviation Administration , they govern the air space oder the united states. If you have light / laser installations that affect the air traffic you have to get a approval or you will get a very hefty fine or prison sentence.

Two days ago I was hired from a local band and I did my first "official" concert as a lighting programmer and operator. I feel obliged to thank you, because you give to me a lot of ideas and a lot of inspiration. You convinced me to go straight to this way. It's incredible how far low cost, high power diode lasers have taken us, I mean this would've been impossible (or at the very least, infeasible) back in the '80s with gas lasers.

its an awesome looking show and even with that many sources it doesn't seem too overdone, but at the same time they just mostly use the lasers as fancy moving heads. you could probably switch half of them for robe mega-points or some other light if you ignore the colors.

The guys over @ ER Productions are the “Best of The Best” for Laser Show displays. They have the best gear & best programming team hands down. Keep up the great work guys.
TBH while they have better gear, or atleast more of it (I know fuck all about laser projectors) I must say I feel that Q-dance, especially at Qlimax event, do a waaaaaay better job of utilizing their lazers. This shit is cool, but 7min was about how long that was fun for, much more and it'd get boring I think. Qlimax is from 10pm til 7am for example :) Both are fucking ballin' at this shit though, just in diffrent ways.

@@jhrlasers Again, just throwing a million laser projectors at something doesn't make it more impactful or epic, striking sure. But 200 well setup lasers (which outside of things like this, I never ever heard of) would look and feel cooler than 800 of em, that was my point mate.

Imaging having just ONE projector doing just a basic run over, when rest of the stage is OFF.

FYI all - FAA was notified but entire show was terminated very discreetly onto a large motorized black 'curtain'.Thankfully the wind did not kick up for the show! Glad all enjoyed - it certainly was spectacular!

The fist part sounded like the World War Z Main theme with the news reporters in the background.
World War Z theme was "The 2nd Law : Isolated System" by Muse. This is "The 2nd Law : Unsustainable", from the same album and the two do work as a dyptich.
Lights and sound are a bit off with the different song drops and interrupts but still cool!:)

Like quantity of lasers has ever been a problem with laser shows. Good thing they fixed that. Must have looked impressive in real life though :)

One of the stages places have about 500 Gobo laser lamp spotlight DMX lights like moving head lights and JBL speakers i think. I might be wrong on this :|

Any word on how this was run? Looks more like a traditional lighting console design than any specialized laser animation software.
it's 4 pangolin beyond racks and a couple of Hog 4 consoles.
So this was done by using 4 rack computers all running beyond 4 run in server mode which allows us to use in this case the hogs to bit map the rig like you would do with a lighting rig.
